Is that the place that was like Arby's? I vaguely remember one in the Rancho Cucamonga, CA area in the mid-1980's.

Yes, they were like Arby's and I think Rax was in my area before Arby's ever was. We have one near us through the late 90's and it was the first place I ever got roast beef sandwiches at. Only got to go a few times before they closed it. It was an Arby's the last time I checked, but that's been a while. Rax was based here in Ohio and did well in the 80's, but they started to fool around with the business model and I guess killed themselves as a result.

Supposedly a new Ohio company has taken over the remaining locations and is trying to revive the brand. Never say never.. Mr Hero pretty much disappeared around here, but last year they started to make a come-back in the area.
