Forgot this odd car sighting from three weeks ago. Was going southbound on I77 and saw a rather nice looking Yugo keeping up well with the flow of traffic on the Northbound side. Seemed to be able to do the 70mph without issue...

  If it's running good, bet it's not running on stock motor. Even a cheap Honda motor can run better than Yugo.

  Sadly, here in the US we treated small, economy cars like crap. It wasn't unusual for people to not even change the oil in them around here. Run it until it drops, buy another.

  Neighbor guy was a mechanic at a Yugo dealership for 2 years in the late 1980's. There were morons who'd buy a brand new Yugo and didn't maintain it per the owner's manual for oil changes. Then when it blew up, they'd bring it in expecting Yugo to give them a brand new engine. Service manager would ask for oil change receipts, and they'd have none. Sorry, no soup for you.
