Got to thinking about all the places we used to be able to go during the evenings around town. Now they are virtually all gone except the old movie theater.
The Quaker Theater has been doing quite well since the megaplex moved out of the dying mall a few years back. Exterior has been restored to its neon 1940's glory (90% was still intact under a 70's facade) and it has been showing first run movies on its two screens ever since.
Cool! We have a second run theater, restored from the old days...(Same place I saw Star Wars in 77)...We used to have 2 Drive ins but they were gone by 1982 or before...We do have cool multiplexes now...
