(I was out and about hitting up thrifts on Saturday, but sort of ran out of time by the time I got home - I technically could have made it, but I had other obligations to meet and didn't want to push it, time-wise.)

My MRS. Pacman ordered from Best Buy was 149 dollars. And the Centipede at Game stop was 149. 

It stars Jared Padalecki (Sam Winchester) from Supernatural. I read Jensen Ackles (Dean Winchester) was originally set to star, but his co-star/brother somehow stole the part. Now Jensen is guest starring in The Boys on Amazon. I don't see either part lasting more than a couple seasons, let alone 15.

I had a Fender vintage tube bass amp and that sucker had such sustain when used with an electric solid body guitar!

IMO, the real reason tubes sound so good is that they are almost always Class A amplifiers. There are a few solid state amplifiers that are Class A as well like my Denon PMA-520. There was a Yamaha Pyramid amp from the late 70's that was Class A solid state and every one of these sound incredible to my ear. Steve Hoffman says: The big advantage of Class A is that designers can make simpler circuits that are very linear with low distortion at low power. Class AB designers have to make more complex circuits using feedback to get very low distortion levels.

Don't even get me started wit most modern movies. Most seem to be produced for the foreign market anymore and explosions translate easily. After doing some cleaning, I now have my 1936 Philco 116X console out. Let's see how this 11 tube beast handles things! It is already doing better at ironing out the extremes.

Is it even legal to play commercials louder then the music? I know TV stations are supposed to balance the audio, so commercials are no louder than the program. 

What they started to do was play the programs at lower volume which I guess exploits a loophole of some sort.

So glad there's still AM stations that play music instead of just talk radio.

They are getting fewer and fewer though. I can just barely hear some more off in the distance, but I'm not in the right area to get them. Also, the noise from modern appliances and such is getting worse and worse as well.

I have often thought and dreamed of changing my job, but unfortunately and fortunately I didn't.!!!

I bought some archives of Huckleberry Hound a few years back needing some inspiration on how to roll with life and be chill.   Gave me a good laugh when life was a bit strained.

It's too bad Warner Brothers won't release the rest of them on DVD. Something about music rights apparently. Some of the musical cues came from a sound library that's apparently now cost prohibitive to license them from in order to release them on DVD.

It seems music rights have become a big pain in the arse in recent years. That's the reason why more and more of our favorite shows are either being chopped up or just not shown period anymore.

I'll never understand why people seem to think that DJs are these ultra-rare, never-gonna-find-another-one vehicles and price them ridiculously as a result.  It just doesn't make sense.  Maybe they're just waiting for the right sucker who doesn't know any better to come along?

Most DJs in Ohio got scrapped by the Postal Service as they decided to not sell them to the public like originally planned. The few survivors mostly got snapped up and run into the ground by rural carriers. Also, a pile of rust in Ohio is often considered worth at least $2500.

A Pizza Hut near me also moved to one of those small areas.  And the lady employee was a real snot.  The pizzas at Kwik Trip (Wisconsin) are becoming a bit better than Pizza Hut's. 

FWIW,  After being Great,  then experiencing a quality drop for a few years, The Godfather's here in town is Excellent once again!  I don't know if this is true nationwide, but if ya got a Godfather's, give it a shot...

- Only a division of IBM is Chinese owned.

- Most importantly, General Motors is still American and oly has a partnership with a Chinese company for now.

Still, China's economy appears to keep growing and some argue they've overthrown the USA as the new dominating superpower.

Oh, I take everything with a grain of salt, but it seems China can have a heavy influence on a company even when they have a small stake in it.

China's economy is 1/6 the size of the U.S. economy,  but they are huge...The world's second largest.

PS I'm picking up slack for new workers almost every night right now;  Although we also have hired a couple of good workers which is rare haha...

Giant Eagle doesn't seem to want to adjust their starting wage to compete for some reason. Even the regional brands are offering better. When Walmart and Aldi's can steamroll you on starting wages, you need to adapt!

Well I can relate.  At least in the past.

I see the work force out there, especially during CoVid in retail and you can tell the younger workers don't want to be there.

At my work, it is actually the older workers who are able to slack off, they are praised for being old, and they are afraid to get rid of them, especially when they are the right sex, more media popular race, and accelerated age.     All these buzzwords that will keep that person employed till the day they croak.  And if you call them out on them really not working, you are see as a terrible person.  LOL

I just salute them for playing the system, and hope I can play it as well when I'm a much older liability.   Or, I'll more than likely retire long before then, and THAT date is only a few years out.

I felt a bit tired today and I did not sleep good last night....Got up after 5 and a half hours...But mostly it was fine...tonight I'll probably sleep well :O)

Yeah the classic episodes had much better writting than production values, while the current ones are the total opposite...

I just finished the second half of The Faceless Ones on BBC America last night. Yes, the reconstructions have flaws, but better than nothing and I still liked it.

I patiently waited for the steel box version of The Faceless Ones, and I really enjoyed it. Their (BBC's) animated reconstructions are generally not region encoded, but what can trip people up in North America is the fact it is 25 fps, and some devices don't like that. PS4  is fine with it. I plan on getting Fury from the Deep soon.
