  1. The parser is EXTREMELY limited. We're stuck.
  2. Thank you, Eddy! Where do I find those?
  3. Back in the mid-80s, I got a disk of freeware games that included a text adventure whose file name, I'm pretty sure, was Atariadv. I'm even pretty sure the game was called Atari Adventure. The premise is you got sucked into your Atari and got to wander among the components and peripherals. At one point, you encountered POKEY "playing his little heart out." You got attacked by a "mad pixel." It was very evocative. I cannot, for the life of me, find it though! Not on my disks nor online. Does it ring any bells for you?
  4. I love my USB SIO2PC (had serial for the longest time...) How would I copy disk images to floppy? Aside from the copy command, if I wanted to actually duplicate disks, do I need Happy? Warp?
  5. There's us! Southern California Atari Users Group
  6. We just got another ST member, a fellow in Fallbrook with a lot of cool stuff. We're meeting this Thursday to show off our systems. If you live in Southern California, drop us a line. The more of us there are (currently six), the more fun we can have!

  9. I would definitely love one of these, and I am miserable with a soldering iron...
  10. Are you in Southern California (San Diego, Orange, Los Angeles, Imperial, Riverside) counties? Do you dig old computers? Do you want to see a working Atari 800 running M.U.L.E.? Does the thought of playing on the Atari ST thrill you? Do you have a setup you want to show off? Yes, the Southern California Atari Users Group (SCAUG) is back, with tons of software and fellowship! What are you waiting for? Post here and/or drop me a line, and come join the fun! Gideon
  11. (these my the actual machines -- the first picture was a placeholder... and I can't edit it now!)

  15. Here's Michael Current's list: http://mcurrent.name/atarihistory/wci_games.html
  16. Can you link me to your list and/or Michael Current's? Thanks!
  17. Random Terrain, above, has got a good list -- particularly the later dates. If you click the links above, you go to an earlier version. Try here: http://www.randomterrain.com/atari-2600-memories-history-1980.html I've been working on my list, which goes through mid-80. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1AJTg33VzviW8nFigsxh6EAtQsaYVrn3PcGy8Dc8IwOc/edit#gid=0 The verified dates have comments on them. The unverified dates are set to January of their release year. You can see the catalog references in the far right column so I've got the relative, if not the absolute, release dates. Please comment here if you have any data that can help refine these dates!
  18. I used to have some kind of sixer, bought in '78 or '79, and I even think I wrote down the s/n, but it got deleted long ago (I think--I'll look for it tomorrow). In the meantime, I just got a light sixer, S/N 81216001. So, sometime in early '81. I can play Space Shuttle again!
