Man look how bad that cover art is.
Can't believe people who founed Toaplan came from Orca (the people who made River Patrol for the arcades).

Non of my other SFC and SNES Konami games did that,
so I thought it was defective and almost tossed it.
Now after playing it and seeing the painful slowdown, I wish had.

Yeah, the SFC port of Gradius III is full of slowdown and sprites flicker a lot too.

i agree with CPUWIZ! about 6 "bills"
car insurance bill
property tax bill
credit card bill
electricity bill
rent/house payment bill
ice cream bill (i love ice cream) LOL
add them all up and that's what they are worth!

Rick
Nice on the Ice Cream bill.

I used to have Gradius for the SNES and it did the same thing. They all do it and i have no ideal why.
Maybe as a joke.
Most Konami's PCB boards first show the pattern test, and then check the ROMs (I think).

Thank goodness this package is comming out to the states.
Gun Frontier, Metal Black, Gekirindan, Elevator Action Returns!!??
Also I herd the emulation quality is very good.

Very informing.

-
I like the list of other companies who were making software.
-
It's good, but rushed.
But hey, you can't get everything in one package.

My Two Cents:
Gamecube port has so much problems it's terrible:
Missing Textures.
Slowdown not in Dreamcast port.
No TATE mode for the hardcore shmup fan.
If you had the money, get the Dreamcast port on the double.

Atlantis II for me.
If it came with everything (paperwork, T-Shirt, and the complete copy of the game itself), then it should be more than $5,000 in my book.

I think the day nerds start killing each other over Atari arguments is still very very far away, nobody is literally going to kill anyone. I'm sure it was a joke. Besides, it would be pretty hard to do over the internet, what are you going to do....SPAM him to death

When nerds start killing each other is when the end of the world is near.

I live near Daytona and the Daytona Flea Market (just off I-95) is great.
Cheap games all over the place, and you're bound to find good deals.
The Video Game Dungon shop is the only reason why I go there.

What ya got to trade?
I know I got Dragonfire, Robot tank, Astroblast extra.
None.
I said in my first post No Trades.

I think it looks real.

I want cheese or apple sauce.
Air Raid is at $1,225. Geez.

I know Quadrun is not the end-all be-all but might I remind you all a boxed one sold for a grand in the past (and I don't mean the Nigerian scam one that just sold). I don't think its too hard to assume that is still a very desireable piece and therefore a major piece in someones collection. The fact the market has shifted some means there is a living, changing community of collectors with different goals from time to time.
Considering I was selling systems at Christmas on ebay a few years back with 15 commons for 85-100 bucks, I don't think that is too far off. We buy wholesale, discount, bulk, value deals, etc. The average person does not. Antiquities in Caesars Palace sells old toys, games, etc. While I would never pay what they want for a Ms. Pac arcade does not mean what they are asking is beyond reasonable.
I have a feeling the ARS values on most things are towards the retail value of something. As for insurance value, my higher-dollar items are most certainly covered at retail value. The fact you can hunt for six months and find one for less is irrelavent.
Just my .25

Almost everything goes up at Christmas time.
I recommend don't buy anything on ebay during the Christmas weeks. I saw more Ataris being sold for $100 than rare imports.
For example, I purchase plently of PS1 shoot 'em up imports (Gradius Deluxe Pack for example), and I got just about all of them at BELOW collectors value a week before Christmas!
Gradius Deluxe Pack for the PS1 usually goes for $80 in Japan, I got mine for $40 off ebay.
Weird isn't?

$5-$10 bucks I think.
I'm not into PAL games so I don't have a clue.

$100 bucks for a VCS system?
Quadrun the Holy Grail?
I think I'll pass.

What do you have? I'm dying to see this thing in action.
Oh crap, forgot to do the Pitfall comparision.
What do you mean what I have?
