Wizard of Wor gives me the fuzzy feeling
Fighter17 posted a blog entry in Unknown arcade titles from Fighter17
Note: English is not my strong point, so you'll find grammar errors and blah blah blah. First post in my new blog. Bragging to my friend last week that I’ve receive the Modded VCS lot from member “FABombjoy,” he finally stop by today and wanted to see the system, controllers, and the games. (Read more about the lot here) After explaining about the history of Atari in the nutshell, we played one of the best two player games for the VCS, the Midway classic Wizard of Wor (ported onto the VCS by CBS Electronics). Two hours later my friend just wasn’t able to stop playing the Midway classic. The tempo going faster while the enemies are moving like crazy is the reason why. Also fighting the Wizard of Wor itself is also a good challenge. Later as both of us were playing two player Atari titles (Kaboom!, Combat, Indy 500, etc), my friend just wanted to go back to Wizard of Wor on the VCS. That’s when I decide to get my laptop out and both of us were playing the original Wizard of Wor on MAME. While the VCS port of Wizard of Wor was perfect on the gameplay, the digital speech samples of the arcade version are the reason why I choose to play it more than the VCS port. Of course the graphics will look better than the VCS port. While playing it thru MAME I had my famous fuzzy feeling inside me. I only get that feeling when I’m playing either a good game or watching something I loved in the pass (like Samurai Pizza Cats in the mid 1990s). My friend and I were screaming to get that fly who was about to escape to one of the exits (and most of the time we kill each other). The best part was also trying to kill the Wizard itself (because most of the time it’ll kill one of us). In the end I killed the Wizard twice, and my friend killed it once. Wizard of Wor might be 27 years old, but the gameplay is still good as gold after all these years. Now waiting for next Friday for hopefully a 4-player Warlords battle. P.S.: We also played Mega Bomberman for the Genesis, and Smash Brothers on the GC, but playing Wizard of Wor was the best part of the day. F17 -

I live near Daytona and the Daytona Flea Market (just off I-95) is great. Cheap games all over the place, and you're bound to find good deals. The Video Game Dungon shop is the only reason why I go there.

None. I said in my first post No Trades.

I think it looks real.

"Ohhhhhh, I died! Boy that brings back some memories."
Fighter17 replied to Atari Charles's topic in Atari 2600
Almost everything goes up at Christmas time. I recommend don't buy anything on ebay during the Christmas weeks. I saw more Ataris being sold for $100 than rare imports. For example, I purchase plently of PS1 shoot 'em up imports (Gradius Deluxe Pack for example), and I got just about all of them at BELOW collectors value a week before Christmas! Gradius Deluxe Pack for the PS1 usually goes for $80 in Japan, I got mine for $40 off ebay. Weird isn't? -
$5-$10 bucks I think. I'm not into PAL games so I don't have a clue.

$100 bucks for a VCS system? Quadrun the Holy Grail? I think I'll pass. -
Oh crap, forgot to do the Pitfall comparision. What do you mean what I have? Check the first post.
-
Well that was fast.
-
Damn I don't need all those games. I have to wait until next week until I can buy stuff again.
-
He didn't have no games that I'm looking for. Prays......
-
He forgot to pay his fees, lol. Should go back to $1,000 in a few days.
-
Yeah I was thinking about it.
-
Never saw that label before myself.
-
OK I'll wait.
-
Noone wants to sell me anything?
-
I'm doing that. LOL! P.S.: Anyone find out about that side deal?
-
Seller removed the auction. Most likely from an high offer from someone (it was already $1,000 before it was removed). PLEASE USE "an" with words which start with the letters- A,E,I,O,U,X" maybe something I missed but this is driving me crazy! Otherwise please just use "a" Sincerely, Shawn. Sorry, I was never was good with proofreading. Nerds like me don't get chicks. Ok I really need to stop posting too much in one day, heck even some of the members are saying the same thing. Good Night and dream about finding that rare game in the flea market.
