  1. There was a video of the Sega CD version and the Jaguar version side to side somewhere on the internet.

I remember that the Jaguar version was better in the graphics department.

I believe Soul Star was developed for the Jaguar CD correct?

I want to hear Gorf saying about this port.

  2. And Fight For Life, don't get me started.

Yup, but if it were released along with the JAgaur it would have helped alot. Instead

they release it as one of the last ditch efforts before they fold...oh, that is also MOSTLY

68k code too. There is PLENTY of room for improvement there too.

If the developers know what the fuck they were doing (didn't had enough knowledge of the hardware).

I always found it funny to call the Jaguar's last offical Cartridge game (if I remember correctly) Fight for Life. Because really the Jaguar was fighting for life in the console market.

    Damn I suck at jokes.

Oh yeah Gorf, when you program your game on the Jaguar, you use 68k right (since the game was really simple in programming code I believe)?

  3. Diet cola, but not by my choice; the last two girlfriends were diet cola fanatics. In all fairness, they had a Coke problem and they would admit as much. I always preferred Pepsi.

If I get to choose myself, Dandelion and Burdock.

    I don't get it.

More people I know where addicted to Diet Cola than regular.

  4. There's one place which actually serves Brooklyn pizza (20 inches for large, the way it should be).

I'm from Brooklyn and just about all Pizza places here in Florida serve their pizzas small. A large is 16 inches in Florida, but in New York an large is 20 inches.

In Floirda they use ground water for the dough, but in New York they use rainwater.

You're not an true pizza eater if you haven't try true Brooklyn pizza in Brooklyn (or in other sections of NYC, like Queens).

I'm so picky when it comes to pizza.

  5. Update:

    Elsemi's CPS3 Test emulator 2:

This is a preview version of my CPS3 emulator. Here you

can see the current work-in-progress state of the emulation.

I've fixed some problems in the emulation:

    Color palettes seem right now

    Fullscreen Zoom

    Sprite Zoom

    Linescroll

The priorities have improved but they aren't fully right yet (mainly in jojo games).

    Shadow/alpha is still missing.

Linezoom is missing, but I haven't found a single place where it's used.

Sean stage in sf3ng doesn't crash now, but shows garbage in the bg.

I've added an entry to the ini so you can switch the region (except for

warzard that it won't boot unless region is Asia)

I've also tried to fix some problems that people were having with

some old and integrated graphics chipsets. Probably some problems

have been fixed, but there might still be some around.

You can now also try to fix the renderer to the vsync of your monitor

with an option in the ini file (ForceSync).

    * CPS3 Emulator Test Version 2. This package includes both the normal and MultiCPU versions exes.

If you have graphics problems and are using the MultiCPU version, try with the standard version

UPDATE: I've noticed that I disabled the image filtering in fullscreen. I've updated the package with an exe that works like the old version

you can get the unfiltered version by setting FilterTilemaps=0 in the ini.

    http://nebula.emulatronia.com/downloadgw.p...ps3emulator.zip

    Emulation quality is around 85%.

  6. DC

    -Better sound quality.

    -Sharper image.

-Slowdown = There is slowdown in TATE mode, and I do not view this as a bad thing since it is identicle to the NAOMI (arcade) version. I do not view the GC versions "No slowdown" as a good thing, and it will make areas of the game HARDER compared to the NAOMI. Examples are TAGERI (HARD mode would be a nightmare) and the Chapter 3 boss once he starts shooting lasers.

    -TATE mode.

    GC

-A decrease in sharpness is clearly seen from Chapter 2 on. This bothered the hell out of me.

-Conquest mode - This is useless, there is a dump truck of better videos out there than these. Choosing sections of the level to start at is also flawed because you can't select if you want to start with full homing.

-Music is out of sync. (In Stage 1)

-Sound and Music glitches. (Sometimes they would be no sound effects).

-Graphical glitches. (Missing textures time to time in certain areas).

    -No TATE Mode.

If you have a Dreamcast that plays imports, get the import version of Ikaruga please!

The GCN version has TATE mode, both with vertical and horizontal controls.

    American or JAP version?

I'm saying this about the American port.

i think you nailed it on the head even though you werent trying to..... its because most people DONT own a dreamcast with import capabilities. think of how many people you know who have a modded dreamcast. now think of how many people have a gc. hmmmm...

gamers like us dont represent the "average consumer". most gamers have never heard of ikaruga until it came to the gc as it never came to the states. i bet you 5 bucks that if you start rattling off names of import ps2 titles most average gamers that you see at an EB for instance, wouldnt know those ever came out for the ps2. all of a sudden if you brought one of those games over to the states on a new console, people would view it as a new game.

as far as the gc game being a piece, ive honestly never have seen or heard any issues in the graphics or sound dept in the game... and me and my roomate played the thing to death. if i didnt see or hear it, most likely Joe Shmoe Gamer didnt either. so yea, most people arent going to get the dc version.

You don't need an modded Dreamcast to play imports. If you system was made before Oct 2000 (JP and US system, if it's PAL it doesn't matter) you can download a boot disc off the internet and burn it onto a disc. Use the boot disc to play almost any JAP import you want.

I had a unmodded Dreamcast made in Feb 2000 and was playing Zero Gunner 2 (import) on my Dreamcast with the boot disc.

  7. In large lots of mostly commons, expect to get about $0.50 per game, give or take (yes, I know you have a couple of HTF titles in there -- list those separately if you want to maximize profits).

Consoles modded for composite and/or S-video usually sell for about $50 -- it doesn't really matter what you paid for it. If you got one of the "drop-in" mod boards, you'd be better off selling that separately too.

If you started this lot at $75, you'd be more likely to get some early bids. IMO, people who bid high are more likely to bid on an item if there are already bids. It's the "I don't know what it's worth, but if those people bid that much, it must be worth a little more" syndrome. Then once you have early bids, you'll typically see a gradual escalation to the market value. If you're lucky, you'll get a noob bidding war, and then you might see your desired $300 price tag.

The $300 price tag is with shipping.

That's what I'm just looking for anyway.

Don't forget there's always the best offer button.

  8. Shipping costs aside, that lot would probably get $75 - $100 from a knowledgeable buyer. Maybe you'll get lucky and an ignorant noob will pay your price, who knows?

And the Modded Atari cost around $70.

Games are mostly $2-$3 a peice. Laser Gates is worth $10 alone.

Do you price the games by pennies?

  9. The sad part is that it is $40 cheaper on ebay !

(Unless you take into account the $65.00 shipping charges. Did you forget to mention you are

adding an official Atari Cement Block in the box?)

If you didn't know by know that USPS just raised their shipping fees up the ass.

I do know that the prices went up.

I live in CT and just shipped a 7800 with 20 games across the entire country for $16.00 Parcel Post.

To ship a 20 lb box (which is a HUGE over-estimate) from Connecticut to Beverly Hills 90210 :) would cost me

    $65.00 for OVERNIGHT shipping.

    http://postcalc.usps.gov/MailServices.aspx...0&DZ=90210]

Alright then some fuckface mess up at my post office (which is true actually).

I just came back from the post office and now the shipping is $35 for priority mail with DC number and insurance.

I didn't make the shipping quote from thin-air, I got it from the post office. Hate them sometimes. :x

I have to send something smaller (the Neo-Geo CD lot) and it cost me $50 with priority mail, DC number, and insurance.

There's always the Best Offer so I take anything into consideration.

  11. Hmm, I saw your other auction that you have a feedback for. Don't you think your shipping charge was a tad bit excessive?

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=230136157077

It was a deal from GameTZ.

The guy wanted feedback on ebay so we set up an auction just so we have feedback.

Look, the auction format was terrible. After two minutes when the auction was posted the buyer can puchase it on ebay.

  12. Not really a find:

    Stream gaming service:

    Geometry Wars

    Outrun 2006: Coast 2 Coast

    Total: $23.00

Geometry Wars frames chops up like crazy even in the lowest settings. Most likely because of my shitty onboard ATi video card, meh.

Outrun 2006 plays much better but the frames does drop time to time (it drops the worse before the race starts).

    Not bad I guess.

  13. Nabbed a loose copy of Sol-Deace for the Genesis for 2 bucks yesterday. Cartridge is very clean, too. Great shooter!

You should had gotten the Sega CD version of Sol-Deace, Sol-Feace. Same game but with a CD redbook soundtrack (which is ten times better than the cartridge soundtrack). ;)

  14. I love the shmup line-up for the DC, but the controller for me were terrible. The D-Pad was way too loose for my taste.

Good job with getting Zero Gunner 2, one of my favorites on the Dreamcast. The last shmup Psikyo did before X-Nauts purchase them out (and thus Psikyo went to the shitters ever since). Zero Gunner 2 should cost $70 tops (mint copy with Spine Card). Like jboypacman said before me, Gunbird 2 is also good on the Dreamcast (another Psikyo developed shmup).

You also need to get Ikruaga for the Dreamcast, because it's better than the Gamecube version. One copy should cost around $30-$40.

Mars Matrix is good, but demand for the titles makes it go between $20-$40. It's a good Takumi-developed shooter (Takumi also did Giga Wing 1 and 2 which were also release on the Dreamcast).
