  1. Does Lemmings beat Miner 2049er?

Miner's count is at least 14, by the way.

    14 consoles?

2600, 5200, Colecovision and what are the other 11?

I think if it ain't Lemmings it would be Worms, Tetris or Street Fighter 2

Street Fighter 2's an arcade port.

The ports of Miner 2049er: Atari 8-bit, Atari 5200, Apple II, 2600 (should I & II count as separate ports?), CV, C64, Vic-20, TI, PC, Game Boy, Thomson series, Super Cassette Vision, LCD handheld, TRS-80 Model I/III (unreleased according to Big Five Software). Am I missing any?

    I'm with Skunkworx for Tetris...

At least 35 official releases of the original Tetris (34 if you remove the Tengen port):

Electronica 60, Apple II, Apple IIgs, Commodore 16/+4, BBC B, Electron, Spectrum, C64, Amstrad CPC, NEC PC-6000, MSX, Amiga, ST, Archimedes, Mac (b&w), Mac (color), MS-DOS (Tetris, Tetris Classic), TRS-80 Coco, Windows (Tetris Classic, Microsoft Windows Entertainment Pack), NES/Famicom (two if you count the Tengen release), Game Boy, Game Boy Color (as Tetris DX), Sharp Wizard, SNES/SFC (in Tetris & Dr. Mario), CD-i, Dreamcast (Sega Tetris in Japan), Sharp X68000, Windows CE/Mobile (Tetris Classic), Palm OS (Tetris Classic), PC-GEOS/GeoWorks (included in GeoWorks), the plug and play, misc. phones.

There was also an official release for Brother word processors back in the 90s, but I can't find evidence of it online, so I'm not including it in this count.

There are a zillion more if you start counting newer variants (The New Tetris, Tetris 64, Tetris 4D, The Next Tetris, Super Tetris, Tetris DS, Magical Tetris Challenge, Tetris Bombliss, Tetris Worlds, Tetris Plus, Tetris Blast, Tetris: The Grand Master, Kids Tetris) that invariably include the original Tetris as part of the package... and I didn't even try to count how many LCD handhelds have come out over the years.

Im had no idea Miner 2049'er was that popular.

  2. We're talking about Tramiel's Atari. They would have fucked it up like everything else they touched and the SMS would have dominated the market.

The Tramiel's made some terrible decisions, I agree. I understand lack of advertising and cheap penny pinching on their parts to be the reason why the 7800 wasn't successful. The 7800's sat for 2 years before he released them.

  3. Hi Guys

i think the Titlematch box from Absolute and the Baseball box from HES are difficult to find. This are the only ones i do not have. All others i own.If anyone has this boxes, let me know.I have lots for trade.

I also search the manual for the 7800 32in1 cart.

    greetings Gambler172

Ps: I also own all 7800 systems and a prototype shell. :)

I have to agree with you about the TitleMatch Pro Wrestling box. I have the whole complete 7800 set boxed except for the manuals and boxes for Rampage and Titlematch Pro Wrestling. I find that Titlematch is the hardest box to find. seems everyone burned their boxes as a child. :(

A friend of mine recently gave me a box for Titlematch from AA, but I'd still like the manual for Titlematch and box and manual for Rampage to make my collection fully complete. If anyone has these items for sale, please let me know. I also have nice things for trade too.

  4. We did lose a lot of the masters in a tornado in the USA so some titles will never be produced. But we will look at releasing some of those prototypes that were almost finnished if we can. We're thinking of setting up a section on the site where you can make donations toward the development of a game, in return we will send a free gift (so you feel you have actually bought something) and when we get enough funding we'll look into developing that game. This way we'll see what there's a demand for and if we decide not to go ahead with that title, the funding will go towards another unreleased title. Just a thought so far so don't take it as gospel! :)

That would be a great idea.

  5. Heck just ask Nukey to hack it and give you infinite lives or something. That'll beat it good :)

I like the challenge, but as hard as Road Runner is, you need more than just one extra bird at 100,000. I would love a hack that's a little easier though, but not too easy. A hack definitely could use a pause feature too.

  6. The first River Raid freezes as soon as you reach one million. And NO, you never get back to the beginning of the river. Nothing ever repeats and there are no tanks. :)

On River Raid II, the score ends at 999,999, but you can continue to play as long as you have extra planes left to use. You never earn any more bonus planes since the score is frozen.

    Thanks for the info.

  7. It means you get to a million points and then keep going ;)

Thanks for the info. That applies to River Raid II also? I know that game is WAY newer than the original one is why I was asking.
