I think $399.00 is more reasonable and afrordable than $499.00. I can't imagine someone paying more than $399.00 for a system. That is getting way too expensive beyond that price.
-
The 5200 was doomed from the start with the controllers and lousy pack in game. However, I love the system because I have the Wico Controlers and the Redemption Adapters to play my games on.
-
I voted for Missing Im Action. I read that it exists from the post, but it sure would be nice to have a completed game of this for the system. Pacland would be my number 2 vote.

Diner. It is the sequel to the game Burger Time. As far as I know, this game was released exclusively for the INTV only in 1987. The screenshots rock. Since we have a Burger Time Homebrew, surely the sequel would be awesome to have. We wouldn't even mind if it was called Beef Drop II.

I would love to see Metal Slug for the 7800, but I know that would probably be impossible to do. The graphics would truly suck.
Hey Neo-Pocket came out okay

Don't know too much about that system. Is it 8 bit too. How is it compared too with the 7800 if they are both 8 bit. Which one is more powerful a system. That version isn't bad at all either by the way. If the 7800 could do a version like that, I'd for sure buy.lol

I actually like the sticks too. They are different from any other.

The Atari 7800 had some great arcade ports and it is nice to see someone out there who is making unofficial versions of Burgertime (under the name Beef Drop) and Qbert. But what I wonder is why weren't more arcade titles made. Here are some 7800 ports of arcade games I wanted to see:
Frogger- Given many of its ports on other home consoles, I'm surprised this wasn't turned into a 7800 title.
Popeye- Same as with Frogger. 7800 Popeye would have probably looked a lot like the arcade version.
Battlezone- With the 7800's advanced technology (at least compared to the 2600 and 5200), the programmers could have pulled off a vector or vector-like game.
Kangaroo- It would have looked really good, maybe even better than the 5200 and they could have had the boxing gorilla that snatches the roo's gloves.
Anyone else out there have thoughts on what should have been a 7800 port?
A kangaroo version with the gorilla like in the arcade would be awesome. I wonder why the 5200 left that out. Surely, it could have been included. The gorilla was included on Jungle Hunt for the 5200 version on the vines.
-
Time Pilot would be nice too. Wasn't too please with Super Huey and Tomcat. They are extremely difficult, especially Tomcat. Perhaps Radar Lock should have been ported over to the 7800 along with Secret Quest too.

Has anyone else ever beaten this game before? Any tips or suggestions to beat it?
-
This game was hard in the arcade and I was surprised to learn that the 2600 version had successfully captured the essence of the game. It can be completed, it just takes a little bit of patience
Have you ever beaten the game? Is there an ending to this one?
-
I wonder how much just the box would be if someone were just looking to buy that only.

Wish I could be there. Too Far away from New Orleans though. Wish New Orleans could be a location spot. I'd definitely be there.

-
Nice labels. This game would be a fine addition to the 2600 if it happens.

Hi:I recently acquired an Atari 32 in 1 cartridge off of ebay (knowing it was PAL). I was hoping that they used an eprom in there ... and I was right! I carefully pulled off the sticker and opened it up. It used a 27C512 eprom. I burned another one with the NTSC versions of the same games and replaced the board. Viola! an NTSC 32 in 1
the only thing is, there were three 'double' games in there (Freeway, Fishing Derby, and another one I can't think of at the moment), so I replaced them with 'Starship', 'Dragster', and 'Wizard').
... I should really post pictures of the board, but I'm not at home right now...
Very cool deal

Get a 7800 over the 5200 for sure

I also saw a Revenge of the Jedi II wich the picture is over the sarlac pit. Have you seen that onethe box art was actually just placeholder art whipped up by PBs house guys. notice how it doesnt relate to the actual gameplay at all, stormtroopers etc. proper artwork was prepared for the title by famed sci-fi painter hildebrantanyways...
a thread from long ago and this picture should help

That's a good find
I think I paid $40 for mine...I don't remember it was a while ago.$40.00 is a great deal also. This game sells for some big $$$ on ebay. Don't really want to sell it though. I would rather trade for the last 4 games I want. You have any extra games for trade???
No, unfortunately, really soon I'll be putting up stuff for sale because I need money, like really soon...
Send me a list of games that you might be selling when you do. I may be able to help you out. I'm only looking for 4 rarity 6 games for the 2600 left.

What? You like an Intellivision game? This is an ATARI board! Get the hell out!(insert angry emoticons here)
There goes them angry emotions and stereotyping again.

Probably no response because nobody's come even close to beating it.
