  1. This is listed as a 3 in rarity, it has often gotten reviewed as better than the arcade version, and yet I can't find a copy anywhere on the internet for sale. Even EBAY doesn't have one listed, I've been looking for a couple of years now since I got a Lynx II when a buddy of mine was gonna toss it in the dumpster. Is the rarity rating for this game maybe a bit off, or is it just that its a popular game and no ones selling.

Also, I've noticed that the UK has alot more for sale on EBAY in the way of Lynx games, most in the box. The prices are bit much for me to import from there, but the bidding prices themselves seem a bit high for a dead console (compared to say an old GB or Game Gear or even older home systems)

Anyway, anyone care to comment, or point me to an online vendor that sells them?

  2. Well, does anyone know of any websites that show exactly how to fix old paddles? I mean, the Atariage FAQ just doesn't cut it for non techno-people like myself.

Why did WICO make a trackball if it only "simulated" joystick movement? And does anyone know if the WICO is as good/or better than the Atari versions? It would seem to me that a Trackball would work great as a replacement for a paddle, just for moving left/right in say Kaboom... Does it work for paddle games?

  3. Been out of the game awhile...

Just getting back into collecting after recieving a FB2 for xmas

Just got a Sunnyvale Heavy Sixer (I live in Sunnyvale, CA., so I justified the expense with the wife that the system was coming home after a long vacation) The auction didn't come with any controllers though, just a Gemstick (which is cool). So now I'm going to have to find replacement controllers. I have my 2 FB2 sticks, and I think I have a WICO stick stashed somewhere at my parents house..., so joysticks I'm not that worried about..

How valuable is a WICO Command Trackball, and is it even worth any money since there weren't any trackball games made for the 2600... right?

I had a grey pair of Commodore Paddles when I was growing up playing warlords (of course my mom got rid of them when I moved out). Do you guys remember those, they had a big red rectangular button on top of the controller, above the pot. What are these gonna cost me to get back, or is Commodore Periphs pretty taboo?

How about paddles in general, I saved some of my own from the garbage but I know they are Jitter-rific, and I'm not good with electronics. Do you think I can clean them myself, or should I just go buy some off Ebay... they seem to pricey for used items that are probably going to degenerate after a little use.

    Thoughts? Suggestions? Confessions? Revelations?

  4. Hello, I know none of yall know me at all, but I got a major SNAFU with my Flashback2

15 minutes out of the box, and I'm reveling in the sounds and delights of the 2600... was having a great time. Started to play one of the homebrews (Frog i think), then another (Return to Haunted House?) The ghost caught me or something, so I went to another Homebrew. No sound, but I figured it was homebrew, maybe they didn't wan't to have sound so they'd have more memory for the game. Anyway, long story short, now nothing has sound.

And its not my jacks or anything like that.

This is extremely frustrating, It was working, and 15 mins later its not, without warning. The games that did have sound, now no longer do!

I've run the diagnostic, tried different inputs, on/off, everything I can think of...

Do I have just a faulty unit, or is there something I can do?

I mean, my wife gave it to me, and I am super stoked, I love this little box, but now the sound doesn't work.

Please, anyone have similiar happen? Is this a bug? Did it fry the audio?

All the games play fine (lunar lander is very flickery)

Pretty bummed if it is plain screwed.

Maybe I can exchange it without my wife knowing...
