Looks like this:? http://www.atariage.com/software_page.html...areLabelID=1957

Woo, congrats on the Pengo, that is very good indeed. Do you think you could scan since it differs from the one in the database. Is the end label the same? In the UK Pengo was a very limited release through Silica Shop. (Thought to be only a few hundred). I would hunt down and buy 58, 59 & 60 just to trade for that Pengo!!!!

Interestingly, my PAL boxed carts don't have this, they do however have a P sticker on the cart. I presume yours have this as well Marco? [/img]

Yes there is a PAL Kaboom. Just because it isn't in the Atariage database doesn't mean it doesn't exist, as Atariage focuses mainly on NTSC releases and PAL releases that weren't released in NTSC format. Enclosed is a list of VCS games that were released in the UK. ukpal.zip

The what?? Is it just coincidence that all the manuals above are exactly 50% of the loose cart price, or have they made a terrible generalisation?!
-
As Marco says, the DP guide is as good as it gets for a guide to PAL VCS stuff. What he also didn't mention is that he's also the co-editor of the 'Import' section!

http://www.atariage.com/cart_page.html?Sof...areLabelID=1683 Try looking in the database and searching the forum archives before asking here. You'll find them to be quite comprehensive and the chances are you'll find the info you are looking for.

Yep Marco is right. It's still a very good find though! PAL Mangia is very tough (tougher than Bumper Bash IMO)
-
Arggh!! I cannot make these new dates
-
Not rare at all. I'd say 2 if you wanted a number. CBS games can come with either Colour or Black & White labels. The database just doesn't have one - Its wildly inaccurate for judging PAL stuff by..
-
Also note that on the Best versions, the label has square corners, yet on 'real' protos, the labels have rounded corners.
-
36euros! Bargain! Just shows you that bargains can still be had! Have you checked gameplay compared to the NTSC version? Is it just a direct PAL conversion?!
-
Right! But then on the flip side, there is a tremendous amount of misinformation given out by collectors regarding PAL releases, mainly NTSC collectors (not all, of course) who collect some PAL releases on the side. Stick to dishing out information on what you know, rather than applying your information to the PAL version, because in many cases, its just plain WRONG. I for one don't give two hoots about about an NTSC Quadrun. I'd *much* rather have a PAL General Retreat/Westward Ho!
-
Yeh, maybe he actually wants a PAL cart? Fancy that eh? People seem to think that a PAL version is relatively common. Well it isn't. I tend to think of it along the lines of Motorodeo, except that you can find Motorodeos in France as well as in Australia, whereas BMX seems to be Aus only. Of course, the TNT version is MUCH easier to find.

Very cool!! Also, another article mentions them here: http://www.mcvuk.com/ -
Well done Matt! Bloody hell, didn't expect it to reach that much!
-
Good work Matt! I noticed Chris Hind was selling his 7800 stuff. Methinks its gonna go for a bit more than £2.70

Yeah as I understand it then, you will be able to attend the 8bit show, which the Eurocon people will also be attending on one of the days. You'll miss all the fun in the RetroGames e.V rooms, with the 30 arcade machines, plus the Tron viewing, arcades, competitions and other events that will occur. At the previous Eurocon, I lived an hour away, but still stayed in the hotel, because lots of fun occurs at night in the bar plus with lots of late night gaming sessions. We didn't allow day visitors to Eurocon because of the security issues with lots of valuable gear lying about. You also lose the 'Group Eurocon Spirit' when people only come for a day.

Woo, great news this! Get signed up people!

Well I can't speak for the US, but in the UK they are only illegal if they are prepared for consumption (i.e dried). These ones are dried, so I dunno? Fresh, they are legal. Having said that its still a bit of a grey area though. There's some more info on this BBC page: http://www.bbc.co.uk/crime/drugs/magicmushrooms.shtml I know a shop that sells them fresh. And you can eat them in this state. And they are good! Jobf

Blimey I never realised Motorodeo is classed as an 8 in PAL. Thats way off the mark in my opinion. More like a 6. There was a boxed one on Ebay UK last week, and they pop up on Ebay France all the time. Here's loose one that finished last week: http://cgi.ebay.fr/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...8&category=3525 Thats more like it!
-
Nice, congrats! Thats a fair price for a PAL issue.
-
Damn what a bargain! It's a full-time job monitoring Ebay for low BIN's! My only success came when I got an external Sony Firewire CDrewriter. The buyer had mistakenly put the BIN as £5. I BIN'd and he honoured the deal!

Yeah the quality of the RF output really is shocking. I used to use my 7800 for playing 2600 games, but then I tried a jr after a long break and the picture was so much better I went back to using that. Kinda defeats the point of the 2600 compatibility I think I know you can mod the output, but I never get round to it, and know next to nothing about electronics. The French 7800 has a SCART output instead though. I keep meaning to pick one up off Ebay.fr. I'm interested to see how better the picture is. Jobf.
