  1. http://www.jobf.co.uk/vid/ukpal.txt UK specific, but the Atari section give you a very good idea of the Atari PAL releases. Theres a few missing off there that weren't released in the UK: Motorodeo and BMX Airmaster. There might be one or two more, but I'm hungover and can't think properly
  2. Collecting since: Actively collecting since 1997 No. Carts: 375 (no dups) Showcase: My Q*bert PAL prototype/review copy
  3. Hehe, thats the guy I got mine from! He must have a stash!
  4. I've got one! (MIB) It took a bit of finding. I'm pretty sure it wasn't released in the UK, - I got mine off a guy in Denmark. Cheers Steve
  5. We don't think it was. Chris Hind bought all of the Carrere releases when they came out, and M.A.D wasn't one of them. He didn't see it advertised either. These are the confirmed UK Carrere releases: Octopus Picnic Gopher Eggomania Infernal Tower Commando Raid Cheers Steve.
  6. It might be worth in the store noting whether a game for sale is NTSC/PAL or whatever. Us regulars will probably realise as to whether games are compatible or not, but some new visitors may not? All the games currently are NTSC, but as the store grows, surely some PAL games will become available? (eg Euchre?)
  7. When Parker Europe pulled out of the UK Videogame business, Silica imported some stuff from Parker USA and continental Europe. This is how we can find PAL Gyruss, PAL SWTAG & PAL Frogger II in the UK. These weren't released by Parker in the UK, but Silica brought some over from mainland Europe. Its possible that they got hold of some NTSC Qberts Qubes.... Cheers Steve
  8. Woah, it just changed mid-post! The store looks good guys
  9. Qubes - not released in PAL. Frogger II - 5/6 SW: TAG - 6/7 Gyruss - 6/7 BB - Appears far too often in oz to be a 9 or 10. More like a 7. Master Builder - 5/6 Just my opinion
  10. See this thread: http://www.atariage.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8102 I'll go with Marco and say that General Retreat / Westward Ho is about as rare as you get in PAL. Also Marco, which Carrere do you think should be rarity 8? I'm thinking Infernal Tower?? (AKA USG Towering Inferno) Cheers Steve.
  11. I'm sure many collectors will remember Colin Woodbridges Auction Price database that was compiled from newsgroup auctions! That was very cool, but in todays Ebay climate, I think its best to work it out for yourself...
  12. Crash Dive, Megaforce & MASH were the only three 20CF PAL carts released in the UK. We don't think any more were released (in the UK at least) I don't think so no. As Marco says, the only way it seems (other than plugging them in and testing) is that the instructions come in about 8 different languages on a folded piece of paper. Also, you can get the following Apollo games in PAL: Skeet Shoot AP 1001 Spacechase AP 2001 Space Cavern AP 2002 Racquetball AP 2003 Lost Luggage AP 2004 Shark Attack AP 2005 I know they've been found at least in the UK & France, but I've also seen some PAL Apollo carts on Ebay.com.au also. Again, multi-language instructions is the best identifier.
  13. Wow, I was browsing Gamereset and discovered that someone has found a previously unknown Sancho cart: http://www.gamereset.de/base/pic/sancho/sak_word.jpg Ultra cool! Can anyone provide more info? Heres a screenshot: http://www.gamereset.de/base/pic/sancho/sas_word1.jpg Cheers Jobf.
  14. There are, if you buy a multistandard TV. These are capable of accepting a PAL, SECAM or NTSC signal via RF and work. Last time I looked, Sony did a 14" for between £200-250. I used mine (until it died) for my NTSC Colecovision and my TG16. Of course, you'll need an NTSC VCS as well. You can't hope to get the right colours displayed if you are plugging NTSC carts into a PAL console. Jobf.

    Eurocon 3?

Blimey, doesn't time fly Jon! A year ago already! C'mon someone! Sort it! Jobf.
  16. I got my Spectravideo Compumate from a flea market about 4yrs ago for £3 Jobf.
  17. Yep, but oesii recommended the Atari800DC emulator on the Dreamcast on this thread: http://www.atariage.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=15370 I downloaded it and am now enjoying some 5200 gaming goodness, albeit not in a pure form, but hey, its not bad Jobf.
  18. I downloaded a file which is supposed to be a 7800 PAL BIOS. I tried to run the PAL Sentinel dump with it though in MESS and not much happened. (I presume the rom should go in a directory named '7800PAL'? and similar for the PAL roms in the software directory?). Its 16384bytes in size as opposed to the NTSC BIOS which is 4096bytes so there must be something in there. I don't know how you'd 'run' it in MESS to start up the built in Asteroids? I've uploaded the file if anyone wants to muck about with it. http://www.cs.stir.ac.uk/~sjr/7800pal.rom Jobf.
  19. Wow $15.95! Didn't realise this game was hard to find in NTSC. It seems to be quite easy to get in PAL (i've got it). If you see this game, get it! It's very very good! Far far better than Ikari Warriors IMO. Jobf.
  20. @Belgarath - ah nice one. I'll try that when I get home. Jobf.
  21. In 0.61, 7800 Summer & Winter games have corrupted graphics which make them unplayable. Anyone if this is resolved in 0.61.1 before I download it? Jobf.
  22. Cool! Whats in the magazines?? Fancy scanning them? Jobf.
  23. I've got a PAL Threshold (loose) for trade should anyone need one. My collection of Tigervision games includes: Miner 2049er Springer (w. inst) Espial Polaris Marauder Threshold (complete) King Kong Jawbreaker Miner vol 2 would be nice to get, but its tough as it wasn't released in PAL in the UK - only on the continent. I think River Patrol is out of my league Jobf.
