I think Jaguar's 'Zero 5' somwhat compares to Blaster, thats a really cool (and very difficult) 3D shooter.

I checked my Coleco DK cart, I have the 'made in USA' one too. I dont think this type is any rarer, only the Canadian (French writing) ones are the rarest. check here for some scans... http://www.atariguide.com/2/221.htm#

Pac-Man & Chomp Chomp Pac Man VR some popular hacks include... Puck-Man New Puck X NewPuk 2 Jiggly-Man -
If you have a Dreamcast you can burn a MAME disk for that, MAMEDDC, it seems to only work good on games mid-80s and earlier but its still good enough. I have packs 1 & 2 both work ok. see this link which is a Pac specific version of Dream-mame... (I havent used this yet but will try it) http://www.dcemulation.com/soft-dreampac.htm

I have the menacer and both 6-in-1 and T2, they are cool playing with the gun. I used the T2 cheats to skip to the later levels HELP::: sometime ago I lost the battery cover to the Menacer. is there an easy replacement I can use/make from something else?? it has the contacts to the batteries on it and doesnt work with just tape over the batteries,

I checked the archives to Blaster on the Midway arcade treasures and Eugene does indeed mention that he was involved on an Atari 800 version. what a shame it wasn't released back then

Anyone up for a "MidiMaze" match?

Isn't that an ST game? wrong forum... -
I'll have to give another vote for Ballblazer, but I really liked Summer an Winter Games and Xenophobe too, other systems had these games too but all them suffered from horrible flickering. Oh, and also Alien Brigade with the XE light gun.

True but does this really count since there is no way to actually WIN at this game? no matter how many waves you survive. I like the little people in Human Cannonball when you miss the target, splat!! same goes for Circus Atari and Sky Diver. [/i]

The updated version of Warlords that comes in the Atari Revival for PC is a cool game for fans of the game.

sorry I missed that part about it being an arcade game so I gotta pick again, there's so many I'm sure it's already been picked so I guess I'll go with... maybe the sequel to Dig-Dug called simply "Dig-Dug II"

I live in central MA, dont know Boston area at all but there are a few places near me - within 1/2 hr ride. Also a nearby weekly flea-market that even has a regular dealer with lots of 2600 and other classic console stuff.

The first DOS I used was Atari DOS 3 when the 1050 first came out, which I made a ciouple dozen disks with, then got a copy of the old 20S and even at single density I preferred it to 3. The menu structure on 3 was horrible, you had to load all these separate parts for different tasks and reload the one you just left. What a blessing when 2.5 came out and what a headache it was to convert all those 3 disks I had by then -- lots!!

If you use the Atari XF551 drive then DOS XE is a must! its the only one that get the full 360K out of a disk, it can read from v2 disks, and the sub-directory feature helps keep your files organized. If you have 128K+ RAM it keeps its key features memory resident so you dont have to wait for loading each time.

Wich game should have been the pack-in for the Lynx?
geosteve replied to Bogarona's topic in Atari Lynx
I think 'Electrocop' is my favorite early Lynx game, it really shows off cool 3D and scaling effects that blows away anything gameboy had for years... even the gb-color couldn't thouch that! -
just these 2 are all I have... "Remnant: planar wars 3D" for the Lynx "Iron Soldier 3" game for the Nuon-DVD

Same here! it's still a cool fun game. the 2-players option makes in even cooler.
