  1. how much did you pay for them? does anyone know if any of these have accumulated any decent value? I still have the two unopened ones I mentioned in this old post.
  2. I'm sure that 'Zoop' has the same design for every platform that it was released on, not that it's much more that the fancy written name. that's all I can think of now.
  3. Hover Strike: Unconquered Lands has a 2-player mode, one steers the craft and one controls the turrent.
  4. that is absolutely awesome! you rule
  5. I too hope to see those vintage items saved by someone, at least what's still in good condition Sorry but I'm too far
  6. I did hear later that the Nuon IS3 was released and almost immediately recalled, I never saw it at the Best Buy where I bought the rest of my Nuon collection. As far as it only working on the N501 you can call that myth BUSTED because I play my 'demo' IS3 disk on the Toshiba SD2300 besides IS3 and Tempest 3000, I also have Merlins Racing, Freefall, Space Invaders, and (long story here...) the pack-in to the Samsung model Ballistic [but not Tetris]
  7. I've used procontrollers on my STE many times, it works fine in the player 1 controller plug but using one on the other (mouse port) there is usually a conflict causing erratic control so no 2-player games
  8. I have never had much luck with any Jag emus, but I have the real game and honestly it's not that good. In fact I'd have to rate it as the worst 3D fighter I've played on any platform from that time peroid.
  9. Not yet, expecting the theaters to be packed full I decided to hold off until next weekend or maybe Thursday night. I can't believe it made so much already WOW!
  10. I own several items listed.... 130XE with 1050 and XF551 drives 1040STf (keyboard problems ) modified 1040STE - RAM and OS 7800 - no expansion port Lynx II with case and visor Jaguar with CD
  11. I like it!!! A LOT Hope to see what else you've made soon
  12. None! but do plan to get an XBOX 360 later this year, possibly waiting till the end of the year if/when rumors of a price drop. Maybe getting a Wii but no plans for PS3 yet.
  13. the game is worth owning a Nuon DVD player for, plus the other cool features built into it like the VLM-2 which was also coded by Jeff Minter... it even has better features than most of today's newest DVD player has in many areas thanks for the comments
  14. More videos of the NUON game 'Tempest 3000' has now been added at the YouTube site, this game was written by the same programmer of the highly rated Jaguar game Tempest 2000. This is one of my favorite games of all time and worth keeping my Nuon DVD player working the video is prerecorded and not quite 100% but still looks good. teen levels: similar to T2K thirties levels: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_eUhxXAis4 my favorites fourties levels: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AeS-AnCtBCw a worthy challenge sixties levels: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6gH4_tevrg gets hard fast
  15. From the unreleased game for the rare NUON DVD system back in 2000/01. It's a nicely detailed sequel to the Jaguar games (I own both of those too) with more weapons and new levels. If you've never seen the complete intro sequence to this great game, it's now posted at YouTube. As well as some demo play scenes too
  16. I remember an article in a UK magazine about modifying a Falcon030 into a case very similar to that, it even includes a case for the keyboard with an attached cord. the one they built was shown working at the end of the article. It was most likely ST FORMAT or ST USER magazine but I'm not sure, I may even still have it
  17. This should be interesting, I remember all to well back in early 84 when I heard that Atari had been "sold" and wouldn't be around anymore. Shortly before that, I even had in my hands (in a store) a gaming magazine that had an article on the upcoming 7800 Prosystem with pics of the new arcade-perfect games for it. I owned an 800XL setup and loved it. the Amiga 1000 had several games written for it in it's first year that blew away everything else, color and sound, with the exception of coin-op games of course yes it should have gone to a Warner owned Atari !!!
  18. another vote for "never played any" of those... guess they weren't my thing. never even owned a NES system, I prefered the Atari 8-bit disk games Did of course have a 7800
  19. I was about 12 or 13 when I got one (thats 1980/81) end eventually even got a job mowing my and my neighbor's lawn so I could buy new carts for it myself only wish I'd kept a few of those, had some rarities
  20. I've never bought a system on launch day, but there were a couple I got within it's first month. I bought the TG16 system about three weeks after it came out and I got the Atari Lynx at about 4 or 5 weeks out. I don't recall any others being that early out.
  21. I voted for the $2500 range, that sounds about right. Most of my collection is vintage Atari games but I've got a lot of TG16, Dreamcast, and PS2 stuff. scumdogg, you got any pics of that collection?
  22. add to the list Cyberball Hard Drivin Terminator 2 : the arcade game
  23. If it is indeed the same game as the XL release then yes it does what it lack is the animated Kong at the end of the rivet stage... he fall upside down but that is all there's noticable difficulty in progressive levels, faster/smarter fireballs, I've seen 3 springs on screen at once in the higher elevator levels
  24. I can only say "used to have" 2 of them, with working coinboxes Area 51 full-size Gauntlet Dark Legacy in a converted Legends cabinet
