  1. You could also use something like this.

You would screw the two ends to the two ends on the Atari RF connector then use a coax cable from that to go to your tv.

Or just go buy a new switch box.

That other connector will work but you'll have to unplug it if you use the tv for anything else. That can get annoying.

  2. Boy oh Boy! This is to all of the HATERS out there! YES the Atari Gods are REALLY smiling down on me!!! You may not have agreed with the choice I made on turning the "SHOP OWNER" on to the rarity of Water World but yes folks it is COMING AROUND!!! As of today I will be working for the "SHOP OWNER" (part time) when I have free time! I will be the one pricing ALL of his retro & classic games! This means NES, SUPER NES, SEGA, ATARI, COLECOVISION, INTELEVISION ext... This guy has a small warehouse just filled with this crap! I have been into gaming for years now and I must say that I've never seen anything like this. We are talking Thousands of games just waiting for collectors to get there little hands on! And yes people my hands WILL be on them first! Can you believe this guy has three more copies of Water World!? One with a manual but not the comic book.

Honestly people, when I was going throught this stuff I felt like I was at a Children's Palace or Kiddie City minus the Mystique and Playaround games LOL!! The owner has no problem at all filling out holes in my collection for payment for helping him out! That was his suggestion, I eagerly agreed!

So I guess you also had a waterworld in your hands today as well. lol

  3. I finally got around to putting DK on my Atarimax 128 in 1 cart. I'm shocked that they actually reversed the first screen. I wonder why they did that. Otherwise I'd say the 5200 version kicks the crap out of the 7800 version in my opinion.

  4. I can't believe you took it out of its original packaging, now it worthless! :)

Shhhh, don't tell anyone. I'll slip it back in and no one will be the wiser.

    River Raid hates this controller.

    B*nQ (demo) absolutely loves it.

I totally kicked the crap out of my old high score the first time I played. I think I easily doubled it. I ended up WELL past any screen I'd seen before.

  5. i guess i've never noticed it before. but off the top of my head, I would say that NBA Jam for any given console would rank up there, it had what, 4 screens of logos and stuff before the main menu?

Yes NBA Jam and it's variants were horrible about this.

  6. Hmmm, look what I just got in the mail:

    NES7800TN.jpg

These things look like they were always meant to be 7800 controllers.

I think I've grown a little bit since I last used an NES controller because I feel like I'm using mini-controllers. lol

Then again an Xbox 360 controller will make anything seem small.

I'm home at lunch now and tested a few games. I've been playing some of these games for so long with a joystick that I have to relearn how to do things. I couldn't score every 3 seconds in Hat Trick. lol

The buttons work like a real 7800 controller. Games that need both buttons work like they should. 2600 games use both buttons as the same button.

    Great job Doubledown.
