I'll be pissed off if they decide the warranty period is 3 years regardless of whether they've fixed it once. Each fix should last another 3 years.
-
I've only ordered B*NQ (already have a pokey Beef Drop). I'll get Asteroids Deluxe and Space Duel sometime in the future.

What's the best way to open 7800 carts?Blow torch, of course... silly man
Funk
Should I wear any sort of eye protection?
-
woot, in for 1. I'll pickup Asteroids Deluxe and Space Duel eventually.

The game is a most excellent sequel to the original. It's the entire reason I have a 5200 now.

The RF on my Atari 7800 is absolutely terrible to the point where it's almost unplayable. Is there anyone out there still selling (or doing) Atari 7800 video mods? It's been a long time since I last looked.Tempest
The 8bitdomain mod requires soldering. If you can't or don't like to solder Old School Gamer will install the mod for you. That'll probably run around $120 total (including the mod board) though with shipping the console back and forth from Canada.

The RROD warranty is 3 years now so unless you've got some other problem you still had quite awhile left on your warranty.

Apparently if little Johnny doesn't get exactly what he wants for Christmas one year it's the end of the world. I'll never understand that.

7800 Owners will get this:

I for one can't wait.

What platform is this release for? Is it a CD ROM for PC use, or perhaps PS2... (Please, be PS2......!!!!!)
With how much data a CD can fit, they could put every 2600, 5200, and 7800 game and proto- on one disk.
They could all easily fit on one CD. All of 2600 and 7800 games combined are 12 Megabytes and a CD holds 700 Megabytes. Adding the 5200 games to that wouldn't amount to too much more space.
Getting permission from every single copyright holder would be impossible though.

They all work fine for me without being uppercase.

Yeah I got it open and Pokey inserted. Now Commando, Beef Drop, Ballblazer and Froggie sound like they should.
I practiced on a One on One cart first. The CC2 was a lot easier to open.

I'm going to put a Pokey chip in my CC2 cart but I don't want to break the cart. What's the best way to open 7800 carts?

Light guns don't typically work well with any type of tv besides the old cathode ray tubes.
-
here's the contents of my CC2.
My menus are alphabetical and I don't include any PAL bins since I only have an NTSC tv.
-
The A78 file is for emulators. the CC2 uses bin files.
-
Armor Ambush. Combat without the trademark protection.
-
I'd guess he feels a bit guilty about the Wii because he's not selling to "Firsties" anymore.
-
My two would be whenever they're completed.
-
I'd definitely be interested in getting a couple of them.
-
I want 2 of them. The RSI sticks I have are probably a bit large for kids.

Those of us with CC2s would agree wholeheartedly. I'll actually buy both Asteroids Deluxe and Space Duel once I get more cash.
