How long will it take to complete your Steam library?
HammR25 replied to xenomorpher's topic in Modern Console Discussion
441 hours. I'm still waiting for Stainless, Bugbear and Darksea Games to complete Carmageddon Reincarnation, Wreckfest and Road Redemption respectively before I attempt to complete those games. -
Homebrew Marketplace for Harmony Cart?
HammR25 replied to JohnnyBlaze's topic in Homebrew Discussion
I'd consider giving money for 7800 downloads. I typically don't buy carts because I want to make sure other people can get them who don't own a CC2. -
Batari has chosen not to do a waiting list. That's probably a good thing since the project originally started over 4 years ago.

Edladdin Controllers "Seagull 78" - order two right now.
HammR25 replied to wood_jl's topic in Atari 7800
Should work with any 3 button Genesis controller on the 7800. I don't have a Colecovision to test with. -
If you purchased Season 1 on the PS3 you're suppose to get a 50% discount on Season 1 on the PS4. That's about it. People cry about Zen having cross buy and Farsight not having it but Zen actually uses fresh themes for their pinball tables that today's kids actually care about, not crap from 20 to 30 years ago. They're also based in Hungary so their labor expenses are a lot less than a company based in California.

There's a stickied thread that explains it all in the first post. I'm not sure why any of that would be ruimtemuis' fault unless he's really Underball or Bones Brigade....etc....etc...

New Parker Brothers Games and Star Wars Movie Coming in 1986!
HammR25 replied to Random Terrain's topic in Atari 2600
I'm pretty sure it means Jar Jar Binks wouldn't have been technically possible unless they could have gotten someone to agree to walking around in a goofy suit. -

Sounds like Bob could do this sort of thing in his sleep by looking at his list of patents. -
Can we talk about how good CRT still is?
HammR25 replied to AtticGamer's topic in Modern Console Discussion
CRTs are great until it's time to move. -
Delaying Reviews for Assassins Creed Unity
HammR25 replied to ydcl's topic in Modern Console Discussion
I like review embargoes because they make it obvious I shouldn't buy the game. -
I've used the RSI sticks Jaybird3rd made for me with the Retronic adapter on my PC just fine. I had to update the firmware first but my PC sees it as a two button joystick. http://www.retronicdesign.com/

This is What Passes for Gaming These Days?
HammR25 replied to TPA5's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Looks like Postal with updated graphics. -
Looks like the Xbone version is out tomorrow (Friday). This means that theoretically the PS4 could see a patch with all of the season 2 and 3 tables right before Christmas. Of course that probably means February. http://news.xbox.com/2014/11/games-five-new-id-xbox-games-coming-this-week Edit: Apparently I posted too soon. A bug was found (I know, shocking) so it'll actually be posted sometime next week according to Farsight.

Would work great for female Kinect pr0n games.

My issues are particular to Trials Fusion and how the game was implemented. The game is basically a leaderboard game and they made it so you had to be online for it to save your best scores and ghost bikes. This might have been acceptable except when they released Watch Dogs the volume of players for that game managed to kill their whole network. Trials Fusion became unplayable for a week because I couldn't login all due to some other game I didn't even own or care to play. Well that and before Ubisoft bought Red Lynx the previous game allowed players to download user made tracks and play them offline. Now all of the user made tracks are hosted "in the cloud".

Steam stays caught up with the phone versions because Valve also lets developers update however much they want and for free. The console owners require certification and make the developers pay for it and it's not cheap. Oh and it looks like the Mac version is the same way. Basically only console owners get screwed.

I didn't know what Uplay was until I bought Trials Fusion through Steam. I won't buy any more Ubisoft games.

Gabriel Knight: 20th Anniversary Edition Video Review
HammR25 replied to Metal Jesus's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Yes and No. It was part of a Jane Jensen Kickstarter campaign in May of 2012 but it was only called "Mystery Game X" at the time. They finally announced Mystery Game X was going to be Gabriel Knight 1 about a year ago. If you weren't a backer it was probably easy to miss. -
Maybe if it had HDMI and all I really had to do was pull out the old board and put in the new one.
-
Xevious will work as a single button game. Just change the difficulty switch to the A position and it'll drop bombs every time you shoot.
-
What promises? They were upfront in their Kickstarter video that Christopher Lloyd wasn't going to be part of the game. They never claimed they got an agreement with any stretch goals either. At least you'll be able to play it on your Ouya while other people are waiting for it on their 360s , PS3s, PS4s and Xbones.

Indiebox (boxes for digital games)
HammR25 replied to cimerians's topic in Modern Console Discussion
The cool thing about getting older is things become brand new again in a much shorter amount of time. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/226153-indiebox-for-the-physical-copy-die-hards/
