  4. Hi Sandy, Did you went to Sao Paulo, or Rio de Janeiro?
  5. A rule for garage sales and flea markets: never show much interest for the items you are really searching for... if the seller perceive you found something very cool for you, probably he will raise the price.

  8. Hi Marco, I don't have the DPG yet, I'm very curious about the rarity and values of Brazilian Atari 2600 cartridges on DPG. In my oppinion, loose Polyvox, CCE, and Dactar are the most common cartridges, with a few exceptions (e.g., CCE yellow-label series). Dynacom is not so common, I took some time to find my first Dynacom cartridge. Applevision is common but not so common as the Dactar 4-in-1(from the same manufacturer). Digivision carts are common, but is hard to find ones with reasonable label (the label is fragile and thin). Some manufacturers are from Rio de Janeiro, so there are some regional differences of findings (e.g., in São Paulo). I never found a Fotomania cartridge, for example. Best regards, Sergio
  9. I still looking for TG16/PCEngine stuff... If anyone wants Brazilian Atari 2600/ Odyssey 2/NES cartridges, please contact me for trading. Thanks, Charin [email protected]
  10. Hi! Thanks Skywalker! I sent an e-mail to him. Anyway if someone reading this msg have TG16 hucards/console and want Brazilian stuff (e.g., Atari 2600 carts) please contact me! Best regards, Sergio
  11. Hi! I'm looking for a trade for one TG16 (loose), with at least one controller, and also for a set of loose cards for TG16 or PC Engine. I prefer the loose hucards, since the boxed games for TG16/PCE usually costs a lot... I can offer Brazilian Atari 2600 carts, Brazilian Odyssey 2 carts, weird Nintendo carts from Brazil and Taiwan. I also have a rare TecToy Master System Super Compact console (loose) that can use 4 AA batteries. *** I also have a Brazilian CCE Immies & Aggies cart (loose cart, spaceship label) that I can trade for a lot of loose TG16 carts. E-mail me for a photo of the cart. Photos and several international traders' references can be provided. Thanks, Charin [email protected] www.charin.org
  12. Hi! I have a bunch of Brazilian Odyssey 2 cartridges to sell or trade: http://member.newsguy.com/~charin/misc_carts07/web/ (All NES carts shown in the page were already sold) PayPal accepted. Greetings, Sergio [email protected]

Hey, there is a music called Down Under from Men at Work (Australian band) which mentions an Australian sandwich "Do you come from a land down under? Where women glow and men plunder? Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder? You better run, you better take cover." Buying bread from a man in Brussels He was six foot four and full of muscles I said, "Do you speak-a my language?" He just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandwich And he said, ..." The Foreigner's Guide to Vegemite http://members.ozemail.com.au/~macinnis/vegemite.htm Sergio

  19. quote: Originally posted by StellasGhost: Tell me about it, Ive heard horrible stories coming out of Sau Paulo, high crime rate! My cousins are moving to Canada in a few years. Yes, the crime is out of control here in SP (as in Rio de Janeiro), although here is the best place in South America to get a job or study. Well, maybe in future I also move to another country (I'm really considering Canada, or Australia). Well when I told about cars being sold under US$400, it is because they are in very poor condition. Well, most of the Atari 2600 carts I found there are also in poor condition. The most obvious are people selling used watches (i.e., robbed), they usually carry one watch in hand and walk alone in the fair, offering it to people. Sergio
  20. quote: Originally posted by jahfish: cool man, crazy freaked out illegal stolen hot brazil carts .... You must see this flea market. It is a kind of pos-apocalyptical fair, like a Mad Max movie. There are people selling used cars in the market for less than US$400!!! Sergio
  21. quote: Originally posted by StellasGhost: Theres an idea! My cousin lives in Sao Paulo, they come and visit often, maybe next time I'll ask her to be on the lookout for those? Are they hard to find down there?.......The guy who wrote "the girl from Ipanema" - Vinicius De Moraes, was related to me Stuff related to classic videogames and computers are a bit hard to find here in Sao Paulo. There are no garage sales here. I usually hunt for Atari 2600 cartridges and 8-bit computers in flea markets at Sundays, but they are very far away from downtown (20 km!) and sometimes can be dangerous since there are people selling robbed stuff in the market!!! Your cousin could try to get some cartridges in local electronic auctions, or ask to colleagues in school, work, or neighborhood. Sergio
  22. quote: Originally posted by MattyXB: I like most the Digitel from mine, because this look very diffrent to the normale cartridges. You should also check the Onyx Jr. (Microdigital) cartridges, made of green plastic! Sergio
  23. How many people here collect Brazilian Atari 2600 cartridges (Polyvox, CCE, Dactar, Dynacom, Onyx Jr, Applevision, Imagic, Digivision, ...)? Which is your favorite Brazilian cartridge type? Greetings Sergio
  24. quote: Originally posted by Russ Perry Jr: Hey Sergio, did either the MX-Compacto or the MC1000 take cartridges? The MX-Compacto has a kind of expansion port in back but I don't know anything about this weird computer - the only thing I know it is a TRS-80 clone... The CCE MC1000 also has a expansion port in back but probably it is used for peripherals (if they really existed). All software use tapes. Greetings Sergio
