  1. Well, I have found a lot of weird stuff in Brazilian flea markets, including Atari 2600 cartridges of all types (including one imported Spectravideo cart and one of Coleco for the 2600) The most rare stuff I found are vintage computers: a MX-Compacto, a weird and very unknown TRS-80 clone; and a MC1000, a rare tiny computer made by CCE (the same company of Atari 2600 clones and carts). I also find an Atari 800XL and one Koala Pad for Apple II in a flea market. Well it is very common in US, but it is very weird to find one Atari 800XL in a Brazilian flea market! Sergio
  2. quote: Originally posted by Albert: Hi Eric, Both Alex and I own a considerable number of third-party controllers, especially for the 2600. We do have plans to put all of these online, but the hardware (in general) hasn't been an area we've focused on yet. When we do, it should turn out pretty nice. We'll definitely be soliciting for some pictures of items we don't have, so you'll know when we're working on it. ..Al Hi Albert, When you need I can take photos of Brazilian controllers for the Atari 2600. Greetings, Sergio
  3. Interesting (and weird!) Brazilian Atari 2600 clone: Dynavision 1, produced by Dynacom Sergio
  4. I have one Brazilian Pong in very good condition for trade. http://member.newsguy.com/~charin/collection/trade.htm It is called Telejogo, made by Philco-Ford in Brazil (1977), with power supply built-in. It has 3 different games, selectable by switches. This console uses the PAL-M video standard. The PAL-M system is used only in Brazil. It uses the same frequency (60Hz) as NTSC. Connecting this Pong to a NTSC TV set will display a normal image (without screen rolling), but in b&w. I'm looking for 8-bit computers but I also collect some videogame consoles. Greetings Sergio
  5. > http://www.atariage.com/cart_page.html?Sof...areLabelID=1425 It is a Polyvox cart. It also says "produzido na Zona Franca de Manaus" - it means the cart was produced in Manaus city, Amazonas state, Brazil. Like atari70s, I also have two Enduro carts, one just saying Activision and another saying both Activision and Polyvox (this with black top label). I have one Robot Tank and one Frogger carts with the same cart design (with Activision logo in back) and the same label type, but saying both Activision and Polyvox. But instead of screenshots in the label they have a picture. Best regards, Sergio
  6. Use rubbing alcohol (isopropylic alcohol) to clean the potentiometer. Greetings, Sergio
  7. quote: Originally posted by Galaga_Freak: 8bit, The othello cart is viewable here. As far as I can tell it is identical to the north american atari release. It is NTSC. Some sort of brazil pirate, just never have seen that kind of label before. Hi Galaga_Freak, That cartridge isn't Brazilian because is written "video juego" (Spanish). In Brazil we speak Portuguese, so this cart is from another South American country. Best regards, Sergio
  8. Hi Alex, Yes, it is from Tabra Informatica. Greetings, Sergio
  9. quote: Originally posted by Galaga_Freak: Prizes: My brazilian Othello cart that noone seems to know anything about. Hi! What you want to know about Brazilian Othello cart? Is your cartridge from CCE? In my childhood I've played a lot Othello and Wizard of Wor with my father. Greetings, Sergio

    cart storage

I use boxes of shoes to store Atari 2600 carts. One of my boxes have been used to store carts more than 10 years and all carts there are fine. Greetings, Sergio
  11. My first gaming experience was playing Enduro and Asteroids on Atari 2600. When my father bought an Atari (Polyvox) for me, it came with the game Adventure. He also bought Enduro. Sergio
  12. It is really hard to choose one game... I like Yar's Revenge, Robot Tank, Montezuma's Revenge, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Wizard of Wor, Adventure... Sergio

    CCE

Hi Marco, No, Brazilian market is no more protected against foreign products... While Digivision, Cosmovision and other *vision carts always had a pirate appearance, we in Brazil (or at least me ) always thought that CCE was an official distributor like Polyvox (Gradiente)... Such type of piracy does not exist more with Brazilian companies. It is clearly that the piracy still exists here, but now the cartridges/CDs (N64, PSX2, GBC, etc.) come from China and sold illegally in small contraband stores. Best regards, Sergio quote: Originally posted by Marco: Hi guys, CCE is one of the many Brazilian firms producing 2600 games for the Brazilian market. Although in our eyes they may be a pirate company, for the Brazilians they were the real and legit thing. The Brazilian market was (still is?) very protected against foreign products.

    CCE

I had CCE Immies and Aggies in my collection of Atari 2600 carts. CCE is a Brazilian manufacturer of electronic products (and still exists): http://www.cce.com.br They produced 2 or 3 models of Atari 2600 clones in Brazil, called Supergame CCE. Best regards, Sergio quote: Originally posted by Tempest: Does anyone know what the deal was with CCE? I know they were a pirate outfit in South America, but they seem to have gotten their hands on a few unreleased games, and I was wondering how. I've seen roms with the CCE logo on them for: Aquaventure Cubicolor Immies and Aggies Pizza Chef Xevious And I'm sure I've seen some others. Did someone hack the name on to a prototype in the 90's just to be funny or do these games actually exist as CCE pirate carts? Does anyone have a complete list of CCE games (the Atari Age list is missing some)? What the heck did CCE stand for anyway? Tempest
  15. But you can use the 8-bit computer stuff that you find in UK to trade for classic videogames and carts. quote: Originally posted by liveinabin: Yeah, its the same here in UK. I've never seen a thrift shop Atari game. It was always home computer stuff here (spectrum C64 etc.)

    dynacom

Dynacom is a Brazilian company. They produced Atari 2600 carts, joysticks, paddles, and also a console (clone of 2600) called "Dynavision". They also released NES clones called Dynavision 2, 3 & 4. This company still exists: http://www.dynacom.com.br/ Best regards, Sergio
