I like it Lee! By the way I think there was an almost complete list here (read Sniderman's post): http://www.atariage.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=18305 It's missing some (like Espial and Springer), but I think we mentioned them later in the thread. Then of course there's the infamous 2600 arcade screenshot thread. Although the thread is long and a lot of the pictures are down now.. it does give a pretty good list if you can extract it from each seperate post: http://www.atariage.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=17112 true, I remember that forum topic! thanks for the headsup. funny as people are telling me what games I missed and should have featured, and there are loads more! I love Space Invaders, 2600 style but compared to the arcade game (which is what i based the overal score at) its slightly off. The best bit is the various games on the cart! Pacman is so far off that a 1 I think is all it deservers! Thanks guys! Lee

When playing the PS2 version of Activision Anthology, watching those great reward old Adverts and what I also remember as a Kid is, why did they re image the game screens as they shown you the game? The games look almost animated. The games looked better on the 2600. just thought it was funny Lee

its now gone mega cheap in the sales in the UK, Fiver for the PS2 version. (GAME has it downpriced from a tenner) Fantastic package, well done to Ken and boys of Activision. The best retro set I have ever played (and I think I have played them all) Good to see some names in the credits of some of the guys off here too! Bravo! Lee

Whatabout some Martin Galway? I always loved the title tune to Rambo, or the Ocean loading music? that would be cool! Lee
-
aha! pardon me then! as a demo it is good stuff to look forward too again! Lee

its good fun, very impressive and has a great feel of playing against someone. Although I beat the computer 21-2 on my first go, I take it the difficulty will be beefed up in the other selectable games on the cart. very good fun and well worth waiting all these years for! Lee

Oh yeah, I've got the C64 version too, and it's awesome. The music's the best. In the UK, it's generally accepted that the Spectrum version plays the best, as is true for many arcade conversions of that period. Why? Brittish Humor. Greetings, Manuel No, it's because you can shoot diagonally as easily as you can shoot any other way, whereas in the C64 version you can't. Simply better programming. The c64 version is missing vital levels making a small and easy game but the Spectrum version has quite a few more, and plays better. The music on the c64 version is superb though but there is an 128k Spectrum version around that plays the Robb Hubbard theme tune, and thats really good. Lee

PeeknPoke replied to Godzilla's topic in Atari 2600
oh no, was gonna do that but...Quote.... "For the 2600, we are only interested in Atari Text Label and Picture Label carts. Specifically, we do NOT want Silver Label carts, as those labels are much more difficult to remove. Please do not send us 200 E.T. cartridges! " Bah! Lee -

PCAE Will it still be running week commencing 18th August? I'm down south at the moment working but will be back up north visiting my folks 18th-25th Aug so I might pop in and have a gander if its still running. should be, but dont espect anything really amazing (so dont go out of your way) the atari bit is just my atari 2600's and game collection plus Vectrex and the others, and a PC that will show all about the games/my website. its great for local people though (God, I sound like Leauge of Gentleman now!)
