Adventure 2000, with game design by Warren Robinette.
(Every Atari console should have an Adventure game by Warren Robinette.)

I am interested in a cart as well.

Personally, there are very few arcade ports I'd be interested in that came out after about 1985/86.

I'd definitely buy one that was in excellent condition, but have no desire to own 50 of them.

The only pong console we had was the Telstar Arcade, but my parents bought that for me in 1978. That was fun for about six months, but then the variations on the pong, driving, and shooting games lost their appeal.

Woo hoo! Progress. Congratulations!
On to the next challenge....

That's pretty darned awesome!
One question, though -- when I run it in Stella, holding the joystick in a direction doesn't make your character keep moving in that direction. You have to keep nudging the stick in the direction you want to go. Is that what you intended?

It's been too long for my tired old brain; did I pre-order the red case limited edition?

Wow! What a great thing, to bring this semi-mythical piece of software forward from the mists of time. Wonderful!

Subscribed. Sounds great!

I can't wait for DKA and P-M DX!
I'm very interested in the Omni console, and will likely buy the CV add-on as well.
Thanks for the update!

Star Raiders is definitely one I'd buy the hardware to play if I didn't already have it. In fact, I have both an A8 and a 5200 so I can enjoy both versions of the game. It's a never-gets-old game for me, as well as a must have.
Same for Intellivision's AD&D Cloudy Mountain. That's another game I can happily play again and again, enjoying the challenge of it every single time.

For me, I love the games and the nostalgia is nice, but the main thing is that it's still an interesting machine to work with after all these years.

First arcade favorite that I can recall was Asteroids. Before that, I played a number of the great B&W games over the years, but none was what I'd call a favorite at the time, until Asteroids. That was, I believe, the first game I'd ask my parents to drive me somewhere so I could play it (versus just playing a video game because we were somewhere that had them, such as a pizza parlor).
-
Nostalgia's my lodestone, but the fun is in using the things it leads me to. Buying stuff just to have it sit on shelves isn't worth it to me.

Wow....that's definitely one I'll be interested in. I've been hoping for a 2600 port of it for years.

My mom liked playing Asteroids on the 2600.
That was my dad's favorite video game, too. He'd play anything, but that one was his favorite.

If it's a fun game, it's all good.
