  1. I did use the support email address, and all I got was an automated reply. This was back on November 13. I had asked that you send emails about the pre-orders to my current email address, since I don't check that old address very often any longer. Yet, when Grazi sent out the confirmation, she sent it to the old address. So I didn't see it until nearly a week later. Hopefully you got my reply in time. I never got any acknowledgement, so I can only hope.
  2. No one was talking about this for the last 20 days. So, naturally, the logical thing is to post a message taking a side and telling everyone else to "chill."
  3. Unfortunately I've written to them many times but haven't gotten a response. I wrote to them months ago trying to update the email address associated with this preorder; no response. I wrote to them relatively recently trying to do that again; no response. I wrote to them about this preorder; no response. I'm left just hoping.
  4. Right ,but when Ed said that he's off to Brazil and had left them to someone else to ship, I thought it might be you based on the fact that people were saying they had tracking numbers and you were responding to them. My mistake; thanks for the correction!
  5. I was one of the people who never got a refund. I haven't gotten any tracking info or anything. Should I have?
  6. That was my thought, too. It looks like it. Hopefully it has uses the Atarivox+ for voice. =)
  7. Looks great! I'm looking forward to ordering this.
  8. If we'd had those, I'd probably have stayed with tape longer. Waiting for that 410 to load the program was agonizing. Although the worst was when the program you'd CSAVEd couldn't be CLOADed! Since this turbo loader increased reliability as well as speed, it's something I would have loved to have back in 1982.
  9. There are probably more fans of these classic systems now than there were in the 1990s.
  10. At one time, I had all of those except the Flashbacks. But now, I'm down to just 2600, 5200, 7800, and A8 as far as Atari systems. It was neat owning a lot of systems (and variations, and "backup" hardware, etc.), but I just don't have the time or space for that so they end up not getting used.
  11. Merry Christmas, folks! It's a great time to be an Atari fan.
  12. John Wick: Chapter 2 looks like more of the same. In a good way. :)

That's a good thing then. I liked the first one a lot!

That first one was so fun! And quite the body count!

  13. If you can just hold off until I recover financially from Christmas, that'd be great. =)
  14. Yup! The space is a tough issue. It's a rich man's hobby at heart, I think. (There may be pictures of my layouts somewhere, but after all these years I wouldn't know where to find them. I wish we'd had digital pics back in the 70s!)
  15. Someone you trust is one of us.

  16. Ah, that explains it! Well, I hope you're able to sell this one, ideally to someone who will love it.
  17. I loved model trains. When I was in grammar school I had an HO set on a 4x8 plywood sheet that my dad put on a hinged assembly on a wall in my bedroom so it could fold up against the wall like a Murphy bed. It also had a hole in the center (covered by a mountain) so I could pop up in the center to reach areas of the layout that would otherwise be unreachable to a little kid. Later on, I designed a layout I put in the garage, which could be drawn up to the ceiling using ropes and pulleys. As an adult, I put together a layout in the basement. My wife and I had a lot of fun putting it together, from designing and building the table, to putting the layout down, to doing the scenery and assembling models. Great fun. We did that from 2000-2002. At that time, there was a local model train/RC store and another store that carried all kinds of craft stuff (yarn, candle-making stuff, etc.) and also had a big model train section. Both stores are long gone. And we haven't done anything with the train in years.
  18. It's hard to explain to younger people what an event getting these huge wish books was (including the JC Penney one). There was no Internet, let alone Amazon. Local stores only stocked so much. These catalogs were the way to see a wider selection of stuff you could dream about getting. Plus, pics of women in lingerie!!! (Again, there was no Internet...)
  19. It sure seems like it. And yet, it sits there. My recent observation has been that people are looking for very specific things. This is in several markets, not just classic computers & video games. If it's exactly what people want, it'll go for a high price or it'll be instant BINed. If it's not exactly what people want...it'll sit there. That may be what's going on here. That said, I wonder what the price was on 08/20, since the auction mentions that date. That must be when it was first put up for auction.
  20. I get blown away by the prices every time I see them. These cutting-edge games were very expensive! $712.71 for the console in today's dollars, and the games are $74.86 apiece ($135.20 for Race/Indy 500, which admittedly came with controllers). Our parents were way too nice to us...
  21. If I see one more post spelling it "Rouge One," I'm gonna hurt someone.

I'd like to think that, but then all the thrift shops price their products to match. Pawn shops have better prices these days.
