Looking forward do the new SGM and many of those new games!

(The link above is to the Eugene Jarvis interview. Here's a link to the Warren Robinett one: linky)
Mostly a lame interview asking the same questions as usual. Still, the tidbit about perhaps programming a sequel to Adventure is interesting. I hadn't heard that before.

With the new agreement with AtariAge, how will these be sold? Directly, or through the AtariAge store?

The sounds out of that are pretty great!

I used to prepare for "the Atari end times", with multiple spare computers, extra motherboards, boxes of parts, and the like. But I got rid of most of that, and I will probably get it down to just a nice set of XL-era stuff at some point.
If what I have lasts another 10 years, I'll be thrilled. If not, well, there's always emulation. I could sell off my huge CIB A8 software collection and free up some space, then.

Light sixer. It's what I grew up with.
Heavy sixers look deformed and light sixers look mutilated. Juniors are just cheap knockoffs.
Don't get me started on those bastard 7800s...!

Ah, OK. Very nicely done! I think this will be worth buying, even though I have the earlier one.

Looks nice. What does it look like without VBXE?

eBay sellers try all kinds of stuff. It's not just A8; other things that are available at semi-obscure places are put up there for ridiculous prices as well. It's the nature of the beast. I always tell people to Google really hard before paying a stratospheric price on eBay.

Merry Christmas!
And, since tonight is the start, Happy Hanukkah!

Honestly, I didn't actually notice the dates. >_<
Oops.

You should always use the support email, support [at] opcodegames dot com.
Grazi sent mail address confirmation requests a couple of weeks ago. If you replied to that you are all set.
I did use the support email address, and all I got was an automated reply. This was back on November 13.
I had asked that you send emails about the pre-orders to my current email address, since I don't check that old address very often any longer. Yet, when Grazi sent out the confirmation, she sent it to the old address. So I didn't see it until nearly a week later. Hopefully you got my reply in time. I never got any acknowledgement, so I can only hope.

No one was talking about this for the last 20 days. So, naturally, the logical thing is to post a message taking a side and telling everyone else to "chill."

No, sorry, he's shipped me more SGMs and games that I will be using to fulfill orders that were placed in the AtariAge Store. Those packages will be arriving Friday, allowing me to ship another batch of orders on Saturday. The good majority of orders have already been shipped. I don't know how many items Opcode will be shipping directly, but you could write them and ask about the status of your purchase.
..Al
Unfortunately I've written to them many times but haven't gotten a response. I wrote to them months ago trying to update the email address associated with this preorder; no response. I wrote to them relatively recently trying to do that again; no response. I wrote to them about this preorder; no response.
I'm left just hoping.

If you didn't get a refund, Opcode will be shipping your items directly to you.
..Al
Right ,but when Ed said that he's off to Brazil and had left them to someone else to ship, I thought it might be you based on the fact that people were saying they had tracking numbers and you were responding to them. My mistake; thanks for the correction!
-
I was one of the people who never got a refund. I haven't gotten any tracking info or anything. Should I have?

Is this the VCS version of Smithereens? I love that O2 game.
That was my thought, too. It looks like it. Hopefully it has uses the Atarivox+ for voice. =)

Looks great! I'm looking forward to ordering this.

If we'd had those, I'd probably have stayed with tape longer. Waiting for that 410 to load the program was agonizing.
Although the worst was when the program you'd CSAVEd couldn't be CLOADed! Since this turbo loader increased reliability as well as speed, it's something I would have loved to have back in 1982.

I don't know if there were many Atari fans who stuck with Atari into the 1990s. I mean, I know there were some to be sure, but it would have been too tempting to abandon ship long before the release of the Jaguar. Certainly the dire sales numbers don't bare out very many fans of previous Atari systems coming through with Jaguar purchases.
There are probably more fans of these classic systems now than there were in the 1990s.

At one time, I had all of those except the Flashbacks. But now, I'm down to just 2600, 5200, 7800, and A8 as far as Atari systems.
It was neat owning a lot of systems (and variations, and "backup" hardware, etc.), but I just don't have the time or space for that so they end up not getting used.

Merry Christmas, folks! It's a great time to be an Atari fan.
