  1. Where's a good place to buy Alpine Games, Championship Rally and other homebrew games at a decent price? I want to run a feature about them in Retro Gamer but obviously don't want to pay the earth.
  2. I'm guessing the winner of the current competition gets to chose the next game right?
  3. So I'm assuming I've scared everyone off...
  4. Well my thumb is freaking killing me, but here's my new score. As for whywas I playing at work? Simple, I'm the Editor of Retro Gamer
  5. Nooooooooo!!! I've managed to get 157,825 but I don't have a camera at work. Will good faith suffice?
  6. Wow, that was fantastic. Forgotten how amazing Road Blasters is.
  7. Just had S.T.U.N/. Runner, Xybots, Shanghai and Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. Also just won a Lynx 2 with a big bag and the following 8 games zarlour mercenary chips challenge batman returns Joust Gates of Zendecon Klax Crystal mines 2 Robo Squash all for a bargain £12 (about $26) Well, thought it was a bargain
  8. Managed to get carts of Blue Lightning, Todd's Adventure in Slime World, Klax, Toki and gates of Zendecon (which is still as bad as I remember) for £20. So i'm now up to 20 titles, which is pretty good going I think
  9. So do we play on emulators or the originals? I opt for the latter as it's nicer to play on the machine.
  10. I vote for robotron as well, as i dont have rampart
  11. I definately like the idea of doing a high score thread. Will happily take part in a game providing I have it of course...
  12. I have to admit I adore the poster manuals that come with certain Lynx games. I've currently got boxed copies of robotron, super skweek, tournament cyberball and Robosquash. And 13 carts. I may go after he manuals, but can imagine they would be harder to get hold of...
  13. See I can't work out whether you're being sarcastic or serious... Still, one of the great things about the RG forum is at least you don't have to wait around forever to get an answer Anyway, I'm actually loving my lynx and enjoying my posts here, so don't expect me to go away any time soon
  14. Noooo So can you no longer get these? Little point in me trying to collect a whole set of games if they're no longer available
  15. Nice plug speaking of plugs I just sent an email to Songbird about some possible magazine coverage
  16. I saw a copy of Eye of the Beholder on EBay and was wondering whether it's worth picking up. How complete is it? Does it have a save feature? Sorry for all the questions, but I'm a big fan of the original PC effort and can't find much info on this Lynx version.
  17. Agreed, especially as most of them are on those cool little posters Just been reading the Super Skweek one and it's really cool.
  18. I know the Atari Lynx is unfairly rated, but surely there would be more fans posting here? Are you all hanging out at another forum?
  19. A man after my own heart One of my favourite Lynx games was Klax. It's selling on EBay at the moment, boxed with instructions for £10 Perfectly acceptable, but I instead picked up just the cart with ninja gaiden, todds adventure in slimeworld, toki, blue lightning, gates of zendecon (all carts only) for £21 pounds. Which I think is a far better deal... I suppose boxes are only any real worth if you're planning to sell on again...
  20. Are there many collectors here who tend to collect games complete or just the cartridges? I'm in two minds whether to get the complete thing, or just to settle for the actual games. Is getting the complete item part of the fun for you, or do you just want the actual games?
  21. Thanks for the tips I've just ordered Bill and Texts Excellent Adventure, Shanghai, Xybots and STUN Runner Out of interest, what homebrew games are worth getting. That alpine games looks rather nifty...
  22. Ah right, I looked on the back of the machine and saw 9V DC 3.0W for some reason I thought it was 3 volts. No wonder it kept cutting out...
  23. Your collection is fantastic and has inspired me to start collecting myself. Just trying to decide if I should bother with boxes or just get the actual carts.
