  1. I usually dont eat.... Period... (Will Starve for Atari!) But, I am a Coke man, myself. On a more realistic note, I have fond memories of eating Pizza with mushrooms while in a high chair, while my parents and theyre friends played Nintendo's Super Mario Brothers. So I guess the Pizza with mushrooms while playing video games just stuck since then.
  2. In narrator voice: THE CITY OF TOWNSVILLE! (Couldnt help it, Powerpuff Girls kick, man...) No luck here in "Mayberry" Ohio either, actually its a town called, Jeromesville... Not much better... You have to drive half across the state just to find a good flea market where I live. And our Goodwill in a neighboring town sucks and doesnt have anything useful. (Plus it smells gross in there...)
  3. lol, lucky, not many great finds where I am at. Two people offered me Atari's, one person wanted to sell me his for 30.00 with the box. But the box wouldnt do me any good, the thing is as used as the next atari, so I would basically be paying 10.00 for a Atari 2600 Jr. that he didnt even know if it worked or not and 20.00 for a worthless box. Then he kept upping his price. Then there was someone who "thought" it was a 2600 and I told him to bring it to school and I'd pay 20.00 for it if it was a good 2600 and games, and he never did, and everyday for 2 weeks he "forgot". Began to wonder if he had it to begin with...
  4. Man, Im getting jipped, I only get 3 bucks a day, because the school lunches, (which really suck) are 2 bucks, and I get an extra dollar for anything else I want. So I usually only spend about 50 cents on an ice cream bar or something a day, and keep the rest, lol.
  5. Well I am finally getting two Atari 2600. Untill now its been Roms and Emulators, but its just not the same as playing it with the good old joysticks and paddle controllers. I am not too wealthy, and Im young (16) and too lazy to get a job, and I dont get an allowance, and on top of that I havent been able to find an Atari 2600 for a reasonable price anywhere where I live. So finally after about 3 weeks of starving at school, saving my lunch money up, I found someone willing to sell an old one for $10.00, but she doesnt know if it works. Also another buddy of mine is giving me one for getting him a Sega Dreamcast Browser and getting it to work right, which will cost me $5.00, and he is a hard core classic gamer, and has like 3 of them, and he is going to give me his best, with all games, controllers, the works. So I finally am behind the times like you guys, whom I idle and "starve" to be like.
  6. It was an O.K. game, but it wasnt the best thing I have ever played. It was a little boring. But well designed. Compared to the older favorites like Asteroids, and Defender, I dont think its much of a game. But just the thought of new games for the 2600 makes me interested in it, and all other new originals.
  7. Yeah, another reason I put out War of the Worlds, was to just see if I was accepted first of all, at Hozer, AtariAge and with 2600 fans. Which Atari Age said they would put my game up, but havent yet, but they have been busy with the Qb label contest so I understand why, and with Hozer, they said they looked forward to checking it out, but hadnt yet and they said they would let me know, but I havent heard anything from them yet. But they have been busy too. And I dont think very many of the fans have even played it yet, with the acception of a very few. So I just hope I get good responses from it, and then I will launch my slew of 2600 games.
  8. Actually I was just one step ahead of you, I just released War of the Worlds for a small starter, I got like three of them also finished, that not many know even what they are, my needing help with TRON is one clue and I did send them to one person to be reviewed before I release them. But I agree I am going to release a couple at the same time. I originally had planned the living Dead Series come out first, but that plan was scrapped since I would need a programmer to screw around with some stuff in each one of those. So it may be quite a while before "They'll be coming, to get you." lol, But I got a couple in store, ready to send when I get a few more.
  9. lol, good one Lemmi. Rhindle, thanks for your help, I would of replied sooner to the post, but I fixed the problem. Luckily I had saved an earlier version of it, so I just worked with that one and re-did the letter hack. I cant figure out what I still dont know what made it do that. But Im sort of glad it did because I did a better job making the title the second time around.
  10. It worked! ...But now the little guy disapears by the time he falls to the first floor when the game starts. If you can manage to get to about the third floor he reappears, but thats difficult... Know how to fix this little bug?
  11. Thanks, man, that should help alot. Ill give it a try.
  12. Hey, Im hacking Adventures of TRON and I can hack it ok, but I need help hacking the title screen and changing the title. TheLEN found the left half of the O and part of the N but we still cant find the T or the R. If anyone has a clue where all the letters are for it, it would be a great help. [email protected]
  13. Activision's still around isnt it?
  14. [email protected] you can email me there. It sounds interesting.
  15. Wow, where can I get the Tlayer program at?
  16. To Atari-Jess, yes I did do that and it worked and it looks very good. Thanks alot for that suggestion. And I did send it to AtariAge so you should be seeing it pop up sometime soon. Some people lately have been asking me, why War of the Worlds? Well the reason is because after seeing the movie I always felt it would have been perfect for Atari 2600. The sound effects of the movie are similar to Atari, the look of the ships looks like something from an Atari label, so I decided to use and make what I always felt they should of made.
  17. Well as for some good news about my hacks, I allready did one myself, War of the Worlds has been complete and I sent it to Hozer Video, and Randy, who runs it, said that he will play it as soon as possible and that theres no reason he wont add it, if it is as good as I said. Hopefully he will find it as good as I said. Its just a simple hack of Defender, changing the graphics some, to fit the movie look. I also changed the ship into a helecopter. I hope you all like it if you get a chance to play it.
  18. I was wondering if anyone could post any good tips on hacking graphics.
  19. I just made a hack of Defender titled, War of the Worlds. Isnt too much to get excited over, but its pretty neat. I sent it to Hozer to see if they will accept it, and I sent a .bin of it to the atariage editor. I hope they like it. I was also wondering if anyone had any usefull hacking tips, along with a question I have. When hacking defender, I tried to change the ship the player flies into a helecopter, but the lines I used to do it with made very long lines that ran up the screen and where a real pain, is there a way to make a helecopter shape in that game and not get those lines?
  20. How do I convert the file to a text document?
  21. How do I convert the file to a text document?
  22. Also, forgot to mention in the last post, how can you really tell what pacman looks like in the jummble of X's and stuff, what should I be looking for?
  23. I still dont fully understand, what commands would I use to hack the graphics, and are the spaces in between the X's the graphics?
  24. Ok, I tried it, on pacman.bin since that was what the example was given on the readme files, and it up with many many XXXX's. for example, XXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXX Stuff like that, that up there really doesnt mean anything but that just for you to know what Im talking about atleast, I got it to show me the graphics, but how do I edit them using the editgfx? I tried what the example said, which was editgfx pacman.txt pacman.bin but it said it couldnt input that. How do I edit those X's?
  25. Thank you very much, Ill try that.
