  1. Found it, thanks. Now I'm having difficulty getting to the extra rooms, heh. I know I did it before... but all I'm finding past the black bar is a dead end, and using the bridge to move up / down from there just leads back to the blue maze.
  2. Last but not least.. If you're familiar with MAME, you probably know it has the ability to store gaming sessions (complete recordings of all button / joystick motions) and play them back, so that with a little effort (typically in the form of tracking down countless different releases of MAME so the recording files work properly), one can watch experts beat the classics. I got to watch somebody beat Venture this way (collect all 40-odd treasures) without dying; something I had considered quite impossible. So, it would be really rather awesome to find an Atari2600 emulator that supports the same function. Better still would be to discover recordings of masters beating some of the hardest games. I recently got it in my head to try to beat Pitfall, but since that would involve rigorous study of perplexing maps, and lots of spare time I don't have, I'd be much better off if there were a MAME-style recording option available. Anyone know if there is?
  3. Quite a while back, I discovered a DOS executable game that was basically Adventure, but with a twist: Once you made it through the blinking black bar to the game's credits (via the well-known Easter egg), there are lots and LOTS of extra screens to explore. I never fully explored the new territory, and now I think I would like to. Does anyone know what program I am talking about? Info would be appreciated. It was a very cool idea, and reminded me of the "secret" passageways that can be wandered in the white castle (with use of the bridge).
  4. Greetings. A couple years back, I looked into Atari2600 emulation because I wanted to beat some of those old, seemingly impossible games that I never did have much luck with on the Atari. I did find an emulator with a handy Save State function (hotkeyed for quick use), and this is how I finally saw the ending to Solaris. Now I am looking for that emulator again, and am not having much luck. None of the three "big name" emulators (PC Atari, Stella, Z26) seem to have the feature, at least not in the convenient way it was on the other emulator I had used. Anyone know what emulator I may have used? Or is there a stable, solid emulator these days (like Z26) that _does_ have quick Save State? Thanks in advance.
