OMG, I didn't even think about the posibility. That would be the best game ever!!! I'm lucky enough to have received my Wii straight after Christmas by the virtue of a Target Rain check (Nintendo in Oz are allocating complete shipments to stores at the moment and we were lucky enough to register with Target who were the next in line with Nintendo Oz), even got $10 off. I completely agree with Nova, the pack in sports games are fantastic (four of us playing all New Years eve, it is so immersive we even forgot to check the time and missed out on midnight - but who cares, our resolution is to do better at Wii Sports ) and a light sabre game would be brilliant. The controllers are so responsive and the system just begs for a well-designed Star Wars game.

Certainly, the stupid "dream sequence" in Max Payne almost spoiled what was otherwise a great game as far as I'm concerned. As I have "matured" I do try a lot harder to complete games which does sometimes result in me having more than 1 game on the go at the same time. I try not to let frustration degenerate into anger.

Thanks to Murph I am now the proud owner of a FB2. My question is am I able to use my FB1 ac adaptor with my FB2? The FB1 adaptor output is 9V 300MA and the FB2 is 9V 200MA with both having the same plug and polarity.

You really are showing off, rain and a video game convention. We have had 1mm of rain in the last 2 months and bugger all left in the tank where I live. And video game conventions in Oz are even rarer. Rain - a myth you try to explain to your children.

This isn't what Zoop said but it does seem to indicate you can redownload VC games you bought if you have to get your console repaired. The Lynx is tougher, bigger and Atari - what more could you want? If you like Arcade ports and, in my opinion, a system that is easier on the eye, go for the Lynx, if you like Sonic and the sega beat-em-ups, go for the GG. Personally I prefer the Lynx II. Heck, get both, they complement each other in a collection very nicely I have not seen a Turbo Express go for anything near sane prices in Oz and don't have a TG16, so maybe it's time I checked out the US eBay and had a look if it is worthwhile.

I like my GG, we mainly use it for a quick Columns fix or the Simpsons or Asterix, games we don't have for the SMS. It is the perfect system if you travel and like the original Sonic series.

From today's Age (a major Oz daily newspaper): Wii breaks Xbox sales record The Nintendo Wii is the fastest-selling games console in Australian history, snatching the title from Microsoft's Xbox 360. In the first four days since its launch last Thursday, 32,901 Wii units were sold nationwide, said Daniel Morse, games analyst at GfK. This compared with the previous record of 30,421 Xbox 360s sold in the four days after its launch in March, he said. Australian electronics retailers are enamoured of the Wii's initial success. Neil Merola, business manager for Myer's electronics division, described the result as "outstanding". "When you compare it to [Xbox] 360, we would have sold four times the number of Wii than 360 at launch. So the uptake has just been sensational," he said. Mr Merola attributes the Wii's success to its broad appeal as a "family-oriented game". He predicts the Wii will "clearly" defeat the Xbox 360 in Christmas sales at Myer stores. "The core demographic for us is female and families ... so the Wii uptake has been fantastic for us," he said. "We will sell whatever stock Nintendo can ship to us." Brad Harker, director of stores at EB Games, said sales were "sensational", but wouldn't make a prediction on which would be the better seller this Christmas. "They're both selling extremely well. I have found post from Canada and then the US takes the longest to get to Oz, if at all and often in less than good condition. I have also had stuff arrive from the States 4-6 months after shipment, usually well after the replacement item has arrived (thank you Amazon for always sending replacements without fail or fuss). Royal Mail on the other hand I have never had a problem with, and often receive items on the Friday if they leave the UK that Monday and I live in a rural area. So I gather from this that a PAL 2600 plays NTSC games with no issues with the colour? BTW, surface shipping from the states is taking between 10-12 weeks at the moment (air mail is bloody expensive but "only" takes 2-3 weeks) so you will plenty of time to settle into your new house if you were to buy now. Every so often a eBay vendor will throw some extra games in with a purchase but that is mainly with 8-bit computer purchases. My local Game Trader also throws in the occasional game or two when I buy something from them.

There are heaps of FB1's for sale in Oz at bargain basement prices, and they all have a pretty thick layer of dust on them. Perhaps that is why we did not get a PAL FB2. I'm in the "it does not matter what the internals are as long as the games are the real thing and not lousy emulated or re-made versions ala FB1" school. It would be pretty cool to have a new Atari console that plays old games perfectly and has the grunt for new, advanced homebrew or even commercial games, just like the Wii. I'm just impressed with the ability to have three questions on the one poll.
