Sounds like a solder pad is bridged or the connections are wrong. You'll just have to trouble shoot the circuit.

[Strange Flashback 2 occurrence.]

This is the fault of the TV set's vertical sync. It used to happen to me with an older TV set and some newer VCRs, particularly the VCR's menu systems.

[FB2 Cart Mod]

This mod sure isn't for the faint hearted!!

 

I have the Rev 2 board. Soldering took about 3 hours, the hardest part of the soldering was probably the DPDT switch for J9 and J3. Those sure are some small pads!

 

The case mod took about another 3 hours. Overall though this really increases the usefulness of the console, and I just wanted to say thanks to Curt and the others that posted their mod instructions. Here are some photos of the finished product.
