  1. The Radio in my car can play MP3 from CD and from USB, I crashed my Previous car, and even its the same radio the radio of my new(old) car can't handle the long episodes. As Long as it play it plays, but if i stop the car sometimes i just go back to a random time in the Podcast. But hopefully the Radio can be updated, going to visit a Hyundai dealer soon :)

I think I calculated it including last episode, there is around 150 hrs of Intellivisionaries Podcast out there.

Those guys are very funny, I like the funny clips that didn make it to the show, sometimes they are in the end of the show. And also the Spam mails are quite fun. Also the time travel factor :) where Cmart and Paul, pretend that Rick had made a Intellivsion Flashback with Diamonds :) its great humor :)

  2. for designing sprites i use a MSX online sprite designer.

    http://msx.jannone.org/tinysprite/tinysprite.html

To export the data I use "ASM BINARY" it will give you something like this:

    ; --- Slot 0
    ; color 1
    DB 11110000b
    DB 11011110b
    DB 11000001b
    DB 11000000b
    DB 11100000b
    DB 10100000b
    DB 01010111b

just paste it into notepad++ (or what you use for edit files).

Then I just do search and replace to translate DB into BITMAP etc.

but its even easier to use notepad++ to just mark all the db vertical and replace it that way (notepad++ is a very good text tool!)

  3. look at the oshpark link in my signature

While waiting for the parts to arrive, I ordered the one from oshpark, but I think it will take a month before I get it, I got a mail they expect the boards back 22nd march,

They offer world-wide-free-shipping, I had to choose that one in order to skip the extra fees here, if something is valued more than $13 including shipping I would need to pay custom fees + admin fee - the admin fee is $26 :(

  4. Hi just got my USA/NTSC intellivision model 2609, but none of the tvs i have cant search a good and clear picture+sound.

So I am going to mod it (like i previous did with my NTSC ColecoVision)

I think i am going for a solution where i dont need to wait for a board or kit. So want to build one myself.

I remember at the ColecoVision it worked quite good, not sure if its the same at Intellivision, I recall i used a Resistor, a Transistor which i soldered directly to the RF modulator.

From what I can see other places it seems like the Intellivision mod is not quite the same.

    Any suggestions ?

  5. Don't mean to piss you or opcode off, but in that picture aren't they all MSX (and/or possibly SG1000) ports?

(mind you I understand they don't port themselves just that the atarilovesyou mentioned original new games)

Just asking, those 23 boxes are an impressive production I reckon plus the SGM (I couldn't wait to be on the 4th run so I caved and turned to the darkside, if it wasn't for the recent "free" Xmas gifts I would still just use it with the test program).

As I said in another post I'm a hypocrite when it comes to these things, and even if it was just 20US$ a pop I couldn't spend 23*20=460 on "old" games, but that's just me, I'm honestly glad you can afford it and support the effort of having new games either ported or created for the platform.

But what has any of this got to do with Prometheus?

I thought the hardware was pretty much locked down to an unused chipset from the '80 which promised to be fairly advanced for its time .... now if the project goes apeshit I still would like to know what chipset was that? (I do have a soft spot for hardware)

Just want to add, porting is not an easy task. I have ported more than 10 games from other systems to ColecoVision, and especially what Opcode is doing now, porting large games like Penguin Adventure and Nemesis (Gradius). I only ported games 32k or less :)

  6. Maybe the programmer had a Commodore 64 rather than an Atari. There's an explanation of the different versions here.

    http://www.dadgum.com/halcyon/BOOK/HARRIS.HTM

The original Jawbreaker for the Atari 800 and Apple II were purely pac-man clones.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqKk1GD7Fmg

The Atari 2600 programmer explains that he felt pac-man couldn't be done properly on the 2600. He came up with a horizontal nine row version.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aZEsmSd3nSo

Then different programmers were asked to do other versions. Supposedly, they were given incomplete specifications that called for five rows of dots. [Aka Jawbreaker II on some machines]

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gnLF6mDNgyU

I did not have a C64 and also not an Atari :) I got the idea primary from JawBreaker II which is a newer version for MSX and ColecoVision. Also watching the Apple II videos at youtube.

I added a few more things like the iron-bar which blocks access to other floor(s). The Bonus round, and the "switcher".

Please notice the multicolor for the dots and the powerpills :) "Super Graphics"????

The faces are build up by two sprites and the Jaw is two sprites too. So all 8 sprites are in use when 3 faces on screen at the same time.

  7. It's a good game plays good and amazing graphics and sound. Got the disc version in my place it was almost 10$ cheaper than the online version. Had to drive a bit to get it cause the nearby warehouses was sold out. So I guess it's quite a hit. People said it a harder than the original. Not sure about it played a few levels I think it's pretty much the same. Or maybe they corrected the it cause I think there is a update the file is version 1.01 if I am not remembering wrong.

  9. Hi.

Is there a way to skip the video intro, when the game starts before i come to the start screen, its quite annoying I have to watch there intovideos developed by and so on. In the old days the "Start button" could skip those videos, but not on PS4?

It could be its not possible to skip cause the game is actually loading data while display the videos ?

  10. Comic Bakery dont need SGM to run, but will use the AY sound if present. If no SGM it play sound using the CV build in Sound Processor

SuperPacman will run on ADAM without SGM or Colecovision with SGM (Or if there is a Memory Card for ColecoVision make the game think its an adam?)

Telebunny is a MSX conversion, but will still run without SGM :)
