  1. Wow, so it has been over five years since I created this thread. Just thought I'd ressurect this thread to show my commitment to Atari. Hail Atari!
  2. It turns out that I actually started playing the 'gauntlet' series from its sequel: Gauntlet II. Am going to search for some videos of this game for ol' times sake.
  3. Well, I visited a game-shop near to where I work, and I thought i'll try my luck about asking for Atari Lynx games. And never guess what! The shop keeper had them and even asked me to price some games as he had no idea of their value now. I got Lemmings for £3.50 oh and other games I didn't own.
  4. Was Rainbow Island (on the ST) two players? Can't remember the answer to this!
  5. Ok, I've kept this to myself for a long time as I've given up finding out what this game is called: Console\Computer: Atari ST Game Type: Platform game Game Description: The character you play is dressed as a cave-man (stripped down to his underwear). Like almost every platform game, the aim is to complete each level without being killed. I can't exactly remember what the enemies look like, but what I DO remember is that your character can climb on most rock objects. For its time, the character animation was very smooth and for the attack moves, your character fires some beam-type shots. I also remember that you could jump really high to get to the hard-to-reach platforms. The game design mostly had dull background (darkish) to create that eerie feeling while playing the game.....can't remember much from here. I actually still own the floppy disk to this game, but I don't have an Atari ST near me to find out what this mystery game is (no label). Ive given up hope finding out what it is...
  6. I just remembered another Atari ST game I used to play in my childhood days. BLOOD MONEY! Unless i'm mistaken, it was one of the few games on the ST, which had one-phrase speech lol. Ahh, good ol' days. Any game I remember playing on the ST, I always post it up here, so i can remember them when I revisit this thread Peace!
  7. Did anybody try out Cubase 1.0 on the ST? Its amazing how far technology has gone from the days of making music using the ST sound capabilites! PS: I visit here from time to time Atari will never leave my heart.
  8. wow.....amazing that I come back to this thread from months to months.... Im currently looking for an ST emulator for series 60v3. (OS for a mobile/cell phone).
  9. I tell you one thing quite mysterious. I remember playing Rainbow Island on the ST. One day some object fell on my ST keyboard (nothing serious), and it spawned up another character onto the screen for two players. It is a mystery to me because i still cant seem to get two players running at all. I wonder if anyone here actually knows what im talking about...
  10. I just seemed to remember a game! It was known as 'Buggy Boy' http://www.emunova.net/img/tests/487.gif Was this ever two players?
  11. Does anybody seem to remember Gaunlet? I cant seem to remember properly, but playing this game two-players would give you infinite life.
  12. I think one of the best homebrew apps on the PSP has to be the atari lynx. It brings so much memory. Anyway, i was trying out a couple of ST games, and i cant believe i found 'risky wood'. I mean, i couldnt remember the game until i played it. Good ol' memories
  13. WHHAAA! I actually liked the Atari Lynx version......Well, it was amazing to see an amazing platform game come out on the lynx. I actually wish i own every 'telegames' for the Lynx. But then again, ninja gaiden for the lynx was amazing......the music is still stuck in my head.
  14. How did you managed to emulate the ST on the PSP? Greetings Johannes Of Course, and it is unbelievably amazing! Playing all my favorite ST games on a handheld without ANY problems is really fun. Although you do need a 1.5 firmware PSP to play it. Any questions about that, pm or ask me here.
  15. Anyone? I got the ST to work on the PSP, so im playing it that way.
  16. Here is the full length trailer. I am pleased to find that they are using the same music from the game. It also crosses sillent hill 1+2 characters and monster. Watch it and enjoy: http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/silenth...ite/?dl=trailer
  17. I think because lynx 1 is mono sound. Therefore, it is more louder (thats what i heard, forgive me if i'm wrong!)
  18. I remember buying a gameboy colour just for this game! Instead, they stop making it and released 'resident evil gaiden'. Here are the screenshots of the prototype: http://residentevil.planets.gamespy.com/im.../re1/gba/14.jpg http://residentevil.planets.gamespy.com/im.../re1/gba/16.jpg http://residentevil.planets.gamespy.com/im...s/re1/gba/1.jpg http://residentevil.planets.gamespy.com/im...s/re1/gba/4.jpg I still dream about getting the game. Its really annoying the makers pressed the 'delete' button, instead of releasing the rom or something. I really wished it had came out, look at it. They made it possible on an 8-bit handheld.
  19. Hmmm. Prince of Persia is an amazing game. No question about it. I bought the two thrones and have not played it as i am playing part 2 again. Nice to hear that its like part 1.
  20. Thanks, the exact one. I love this forum, people are very helpful. Thanks again!
  21. Pushover ? 1008594[/snapback] YEEAAH! Thanks a lot man. Just loaded the rom for this game, and it is the right one. Thanks man, really appreciate this. Cheers
  22. Well, i like to create a thread for those who cant remember the names of Atari ST games. This will help people from creating many threads starting with 'can't remember'. However, i am no expert in helping people remember game names, but i'm sure this forum has many people who can help. We agree that Atari has been part of our lives, from the times of recreational purposes when having a break. Playing 'Kick Off 2' after your studies etc. We will never forget these memories, and shall stay with us until the day we die. Therefore, post all those games you cant remember for the ST over here. To start with, can anybody help me out? Please try to understand that i was a little boy when i used to play the following game, therefore i might not be able to remember that much. Game number 1) I remember that my cousin came over and wanted to play the ST. He checked my collection and found 'Shadow of the beast', however on the front of the floppy disk, it was written: 'Shadow of the beast, Amiga Version!?'. I put the floppy in the ST and turned it on. Instead it was not 'Shadow Of The Beast', it was some guy who looked a lot like 'tarzan' (obviously only underpants) who had many 'beams' for weapons. This character could jump onto rocks in high distance. You also have to kill small\large enemies. - THATS ALL I REMEMBER, CAN ANYBODY HELP ME OUT? Game Number 2)The whole game was based on dominoes, only that you would have to sort out certain dominoes to knock every single one down. I remember that some dominoes were coloured 'red'. -THATS ALL I REMEMBER, CAN ANYBODY HELP ME? Well, anyone who cant remember their own collection of games, post them here, im sure someone perhaps can help you out. Anyway, thanks in advance!
  23. There is only one game which is truly crap for the lynx. Its world class fussball. The game was so rubbish that it could not even afford for a decent name! What the hell is 'fussball'? It should have been 'soccer'. Anyway, this game was so rubbish that commiting a foul anywhere in the pitch would result in a penalty. Also the pitch was so big that it would take couple of minutes to run from one side to another. The players would slide tackle almost all the time, like if they have eczema on their bottoms, and the animation is close to 'hard driving' for the lynx. The only reason i have this game is for my atari lynx collection which is: #3 Atari Lynx mark 2 50 atari lynx games Original adaptor Com Lynx Official Atari Lynx Mark 2 pouch However, only good thing about the game was the theme music. That is all.
  24. awww man. Could not get dracula to work. Perhaps the rom is not real, but still plynx is very impressive. Cant stop playing scaryard dog!
  25. Unfortunately 1.5. Luckily i have that version. If you dont have a PSP, and you plan to buy one, make sure it has the following firmwares (bios etc.) 1.5 1.51 1.52 2.00 If it is higher than 1.5 and lower 2.01, then its possible to downgrade without harming your PSP. Unfortunately, noobs always buy 1.5 paying a lot of money. If you have brains, seriously, its not hard to downgrade, ive done it many times. If you buy a 2.00, you probably save much more money, (and i can help you downgrade it!)
