Hi bugs Can you please post the measures of the plastic transparent bag that protects the 1200xl? I have a complete boxed 1200xl, but it's missing that plastic bag... Kind regards, Louis BQ

Guys, thanks for your replies so far. Paul, what Activision titles were released as flippy disk? Kind regards, Louis BQ
-
Hi Some game titles were released on disk back in the day, with one side featuring the Atari version of the game, and on the other side, the C64 version of the same game. I think these were called "flippy" disks. Datasoft's version of Pole Position has this feature, see the pictures of the disk. Do you know any other titles like this? Do we have a list of these games? Kind regards, Louis BQ

Hi As a side note, I must add that chilean atari fan Franco Catrin did a research on the reason behind the exclamation mark. He explains that when the loader prints a clear screen character, it does it by executing this code: 765 169 125 LDA #125 ; CLEAR SCREEN 767 32 164 246 JSR PRINT ; $F6A4 However, the printing routine located on $F6A4 is only valid for 400/800 computers. On the XL/XE machines, that routine is located somewhere else. Quote from Mapping the Atari: You can confirm this by changing the call from $F6A4 to $F2B0. The result is that the loader will clear the screen instead of printing the exclamation character. Hi Mister-VCS I think the 600XL lacks of the chroma/luma monitor output, that's the best output you can get out of a XL computer. The 800XL has it. I use it with my Commodore 1701 monitor, and it looks great. Kind regards, Louis BQ

Hi According to the atarimuseum.com, there's an Antic chip inside the prism: http://www.atarimuseum.com/ahs_archives//archives/Memorabilia/page3.html I was thinking if it is possible to make a replica out of transparent plastic, but I think the result would not be crystal clear... Kind regards, Louis BQ
-
Hi there Do you know if this Atari prism was ever for sale? I've seen it on the Bests catalog, on the memorabilia section, but I don't remember seeing it listed for sale. If this is not for sale...Is there a way to make a decent reproduction for this? Any ideas? Kind regards, Louis BQ PS: Admins, feel free to move this thread to a more appropiate place if needed...I couldn't find it.

Does anyone make new Atari 8-bit cartridge shells?
lbaeza replied to Albert's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Ivop already tried this and documented it here http://atariage.com/forums/blog/293/entry-10952-making-you-own-polyurethane-cartridge-cases/Regards -
Any recommendations on http://EpromMan.Com ? Regards, Louis BQ
-
Hi S0nic You better do a search for "Atari cartridge lot" on ebay, you may get lucky. Beware that 800s carts are more expensive than the ones for the 2600. Take care, Louis BQ

Build a Camera Box for Taking Pictures of TV
lbaeza replied to ballyalley's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Hi Antic Magazine vol.3 n.7 http://www.atarimagazines.com/v3n7/newproducts.html Screenshooter was the name for that product, sold for $169. IIRC, the guy holding the camera was Larry Kaplan, of Kaboom! fame. Also found this article on Atari Connection on the same subject matter: "How to photograph your Atari Computer graphics": Atari Connection vol. 1, n. 3, page 8. http://www.digitpress.com/library/magazines/atari_connection/atari_connection_fall81.pdf Regards -
Hi there I am looking for these 2600 games complete in box, they must be from the Atari Inc. era. You can check this by looking at the back of the box, and it should say Atari Inc. instead of Atari Corp, and the year should be prior to 1984. In addition to that, these have the manuals printed in color instead of grayscale. Here are the titles I am looking for: Dig Dug Kangaroo Pole Position Moon Patrol Ms. Pac Man Phoenix I may be also interested on the boxes and the manual only, if they are in good shape. Please send me you offers through PM or drop me an email at lbaeza (at) yahoo (dot) com. Thanks in advance. Louis BQ
