  1. Hi Allan, Of course it's OK, I was afraid this document went to oblivion unless I scanned and shared it with the community. Kind regards, Louis BQ

  5. Hi CrazyChris Sources from the original developer team were handed to AA user starwindz long ago, but I have not seen any recent updates from his side. Kind regards, Louis BQ PS:IIRC, sources are on GitHub, available for the community to download.
  6. Thanks MrRobot, the labels you made are beautiful! Excellent job. Kind regards, Louis BQ
  7. Hi there I recently got my hands on an Atari Assembler Editor complete in box, and this one came with a Manual errata different from the one posted by Mr. Savetz. I have scanned it and made a PDF of it. Here it is for you. Feel free to share it. Kind regards, Louis BQ Atari_Assembler_Editor_User's_Manual_Errata.pdf
  8. Hi xrbrevin Please let me know if this is of any help: https://www.insentricity.com/a.cl/200/A800-2764 Regards, Louis BQ
  9. Hi R. Cade Just found this video, it shows what you described: Didn't know the same manufacturer did a C64 version. All this conversation led me to this other question: Is it possible to freeze the video display of the Atari computers? Like having a VCR pause button, so you can resume action after the button is pressed again.... Kind regards, Louis BQ Kind regards,
  10. Hello everybody I am aware of this hardware add-on for the ZX Spectrum called the "Slomo". This hardware was plugged on the microcomputer rear connector in order to control the speed it ran by turning a potentiometer. I guess this was a useful device for passing the most difficult stages of certain videogames, where speed control was critical. Attached to this post there are some pictures of this hardware, taken from the World of Spectrum. Did the Atari computers have a similar hardware based slow motion control? Kind regards, Louis BQ
  11. Mauricio Currently I am at the office, when I get back home I will see if I can find it for you. Un saludo, Luis BQ

  13. I recommend to browse the titles under the "Arcade - Tron" category on Atarimania, you may be looking for a game with a different name. Looking at the games screenshots will help you with your search: http://www.atarimania.com/list_games_atari-400-800-xl-xe-arcade-tron_genre_40_8_G.html Kind regards, Louis BQ
  14. Hello SS I have no idea what are the differences between the file and the cartridge version. I want to burn an EPROM with the prototype binary and put it inside a XE cartridge. So a running cartridge binary is ideal for me. Kind regards, Louis BQ
  15. Hi there I have been able to confirm that the cartridge image of Bruce Lee (prototype) crashes both on Altirra and on the real hardware. I used my Ultimate Cart on a NTSC 800 XL computer running the game and the behavior is the same as in the emulator. I captured the crash on a video, here it is for you: I downloaded the cartridge binary from Atarimania, this is the link: http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-bruce-lee_s799.html Can you give me a hand on fixing the prototype in order to make it fully playable? Kind regards, Louis BQ
  16. Hi there I have OCRed the Atari Sound scanned pages, and made a quick and dirty website with them. Here's the link: https://sites.google.com/site/billwilliamsatarisounds/ This is still a work in progress, you can give me a hand by debugging the programs and uploading the resulting ATRs here, so I can upload them to the website. And of course, let me know if you find any typos. Just for reference, attached to this post you will find the JPGs I used as the base for my work. Kind regards, Louis BQ AtariSound.zip
  17. Way to go, Gunstar! That metal plate is very nice! Never seen one before. atari65xenajm, I remember not long ago I needed one of those manuals for my 1200XL, and found it on ebay for $13.99 together with the Inside Atari Basic book. So yes, they show up on ebay from time to time. Kind regards, Louis BQ
  18. Hi This is an extract of the article named "Then and now The 8-bit Atari computer" by Matthew J. W Ratcliff, as it appeared on Analog Computing #59. It explains that even code published on books made illegal calls. This could be the reason behind many "breaking the rule". Is this the Bill Wilkinson article the author is referring to? https://www.atarimagazines.com/compute/issue38/077_1_INSIGHT_ATARI.php Kind regards, Louis BQ
  19. Hi Eric I have seen similar behaviour on CRTs under the influence of the magnetic fields when degaussing failed. Try moving your TV to another place within the room and see if the behaviour changes. If this is the case, try turning off and on the TV so that degaussing occurs. That should clear that spot. Kind regards, Louis BQ
  20. Hi CanTom You can use Virtualbox to install a Windows version that is compatible with wav2cas and run that utility from there... https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads Kind regards, Louis BQ
  21. Hi This may give you some ideas: https://www.atariarchives.org/roots/chapter_8.php Kind regards, Louis BQ
  22. Hello Paulo That's a good question. Besides updating the site, the people from Atariteca also participates on the chilean Atariware site forum, posting news and comments, but their participation has decreased in the last months....I don't have a clue about what is the reason behind this. Kind regards, Louis BQ
  23. Hi devweb Too bad, I was expecting you to have that cardboard C64 model from that magazine. Anyways, thanks for checking. Kind regards, Louis BQ
  24. Hello Fred_M Thanks for your picture, I can see that the small box version corresponds to the 1986 release. My question is: Is there a small box version of Space Invaders that was released near 1979-1982? Do we have a picture of this? Kind regards, Louis BQ
  25. Hi BTW, Multisoft also released Mutificha, a database utility. That label on the original poster cartridge looks interesting, from the translation point of view: It says "ATARIESCRITOR". Given that ESCRITOR is spanish for WRITER, this is a direct translation, but not an adaptation of the title. Basically, in spanish it does not sound or look "right" for a cartridge title. That title is too long. It also says "CONFIDENTIAL", and not CONFIDENCIAL, the spanish equivalent for that term. These facts lend me to think the guy who made the label was an english speaker and not a native spanish speaker. Finally, copyright year says 1984, which is correct, given that Atari Inc. ceased operations on June/July 1984. Kind regards, Louis BQ PS: Do you have any screenshots to compare? PS2: Are you able to dump the cartridge? You can follow Nir's instructions on how to accomplish that here:
