  1. I have 2 Neo Geo's one I converted to a 4 slot and the other I completely restored repainted the sides and re-did all the lettering it was a bitch. I did that one to sell but I'm in Pa near Philly. Watch for the sides of the cab people love to scratch off the Neo Geo lettering and it is a royal pain in the ass to re-paint.
  2. Not sure if this is it but on the KLOV web page Asteroids Deluxe has a 3D Model the link to it is right under the first picture. http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter...mp;game_id=6940
  3. I would have to say that I basically stole some stuff off eBay I got 3 cabs Mario brothers converted to double dragon which worked completely. And I got 2 more cab empty one with a new power supply one is Buck Rogers Planet of Zoom which was totally striped out still has the PCB cage in it and some other miscellaneous parts. Got an APB control panel which I thought was part of one of the cabs but was just extra someone just threw it in If anyone needs it let me know. I think the 3rd cab is a Rolling Thunder it has the same circular side art out line were it use to be but it only has 2 circles not 3 weird I haven’t found any other game that has circular side art like that has 1986 printed in cab and that game was out in 1987 so I have no idea still has Atari name plate with serial numbers and what not, this game was gutted as well. I also got 3 monitors with the deal one was a Sega goes to the Buck Rogers game one might have gone to the Rolling Thunder game. So basically I got one working game 2 striped cabinets with monitors and one extra monitor and a control panel all 3 extra monitors still untested. Here's the best part I got all this off eBay for $20.50!!! I have already restored the Mario cab have the board and pcb cage just need a wire harness, original control panel, marquee and monitor glass for a wide body and its done. Not to mention I have the Double Dragon board which is worth like $30 on its own if I sold it I would be $5 bucks up and still have all this stuff. So you could say It could be a no cost find.
  4. I have never taken the controls apart but by the sound of it you might have a break in the wire somehow it might be due to corrosion in a wire had that happen in my 1979 rx7 once opened up the wire and dust fell out! Maybe jump the wires from the PCB back to the switch in question and see if anything happens. Oh and when I look at the transistors I finally saw how they were offset I really had to look at them closely I never noticed before thanks for the tip.
  5. Thanks I really had no idea if the were idiot proof or not I just wanted to make sure before I accidentally torched a very hard to find piece of equipment.
  6. Ok well its been a while for this project I got the cap kits and finally got my high voltage probe I hope in another week to get a multimeter when I have some more money. What I wanted to know how do you install the Transistors correctly? Is their a way to find out their polarity I'm not going to have a problem with the caps the are labeled well but the Transistors are not can they only go in one way? I also have the heat sink compound so I basically have everything but the multimeter to get this project moving along. can you use the multimeter to test the Transistors? I plan on getting a Fluke meter any specific model worth getting I know the multimeter has to have an option to turn off the autoranging or you will blow it up do all multimeters have this option? Sorry lots of questions I know.
  7. It will be ending In a little under 2 days now so last chance!!
  8. Well I can help a little this place could prob make it for you a lot of side art replacements don't exist yet for newer and older games I can't even find side art repros for After Burner and thats a popular game. http://www.classicarcadegrafix.com
  9. If anyone is interested in PA Philly area near zip 19086 I just listed it on ebay today http://cgi.ebay.com/Neo-Geo-2-slot-arcade-...1QQcmdZViewItem I spent a lot of time restoring the entire thing and repainting it I even put LED coin slot lights so they will last a really long time. I included 2 games World Heroes 2 and Art of Fighting 2 no marquee picture displays for the games there not all that expensive on eBay. This is probably the nicest one on ebay right now. There a few others close to the same price that aren't restored this has to be the better deal by far. It is a 2 slot I have not tested the save pack slot I don't have one. Its also missing one coin door flap but that's nothing in the long run.
  10. I'm looking for a few wire harnesses Crystal Castles + maybe PCB cage, original Mario brothers wire harness the first one not the NES version, and Rampage I have one but its butchered horribly. I have been looking on ebay forever with no luck thought I would try here.
  11. Thats not a bad idea I will have to try that with the ram I was going to start with that anyways. I guess the ram chips are all soldered on the board so if im going to go the the trouble of removeing them I'll make sure to socket them. Does anyone have an internal picture of what the ram chip looks like on the C64 PCB? Or is it not hard to miss labled ram or what not.
  12. I have come across a bunch of music software 2 disks in the box I just did and I know their is lots more still in the attic their are prob just as much software if not more than the games. Of course I will test everything first but after someone asks about certian programs their is just way too much to just go and test everything right at one time It would take me weeks if not months!
  13. Ah Contra well I have never played the 2nd arcade version of Contra but I did buy the first one for $100 off ebay and man I should have reconsidered but I wanted the game so bad. You want to see really bad water damage to a cabinet? This thing must have been out in the rain for a long time the worst thing was when I bought it in was in the persons liveing room!! I mean this thing looks like a turd I wouldn't want it im my house the way it was looking. I have almost finshed fixing the water damage I really what to kick the guys ass that thought it would ba a good idea to build a cabinet out of MDF instead of the reagular particle cabinet board. It all just split open and puffed up really weird if it were any game but Contra I would have never had fixed it take a look at this water damage.
  14. Just went through a ton of software tonight I separated all the games from hardware programs then sorted out all the games and put them all with their instruction booklets/ boxes. I figured everyone wants me to list the games first But not tonight I have every game sorted theirs lots of doubles triples and sometimes even like 6 copies like Gauntlet well maybe a few more if you count all the bootleg copies of most of the games. Their is tons of stuff I will try to list the games tomorrow and how many copies / bootleg backup copies I have. Then I will list all the little add ons I have modems fast boot carts ect. I have lots of basic books and word processing programs lots of office stuff If anyones interested. I know their is a mouse still in the plastic wrap and a few other programs. It basically took me from 7pm to 12am to sort through the games and program disks If that gives you any idea of how much their is.
  15. Yeah Not everything they made but a whole hell of a lot of software and what not I already found a source for chips for the C64 so I just have to figure out what in the world the problem is with them. I know the one is a 1702 the other nonworking one is as well I'm not really In the mood to mess with old computer monitors I'm going to learn how to rebuild arcade monitors you get a lot more out of those. Yeah I did mean disk drives was just getting tired as hell last night and was trying to get the post out there for some help. I'm going to start sorting now I will try to post some stuff tonight maybe try to get some of this stuff a new home its better to get stuff like this to people who will use it more instead of it just sitting in storage for 10+ more years. oh and to all interested here's the place that sells replacement chips for the C64 and other computer stuff. He has a few suggestions on his page what could be wrong with the C64's I have. In the repair log on the web page heres what he suggested http://www.arcadecomponents.com/index.html Commodore 64 gives nothing but a blank screen - reset line on CPU is stuck Found a short between the 7406 IC and the metalized cardboard RFI shield. Attached a thin piece of posterboard to the shield with double-stick tape and trimmed the pin on the IC. Commodore 64 gives nothing but a blank screen Found multiple machines with this symptom: Replaced bad VIC II chip on one, replaced a bad PLA chip on another, Replaced a bad 74LS629. Could also be caused by a defective crystal.
  16. Well I'm telling everyone that they don't work for a reason so I can get information on how fix them if I decide to get rid of them I want them to be working first I don't like giving people crap. I found a guy who sells replacement chips for it and he gave me a few pointers on were to start. Ok well I'm taking off for the day I will post some pictures tonight and more information. Good thing It's raining today Now I have a reason to really dig in to the C64 stuff.
  17. I haven't thought about it in years but I was given tons of C64 stuff before I had a computer by my cousins. They got a home computer and gave me everything they had which was a lot they got their stuff from their church when they upgraded. When I say a lot I mean a lot I probably have just about everything C64 made I have 2 monitors 1 works the other turns on and the screen lights up but nothing both with original boxes and one with complete styrofoam inserts the other with most of them. I have like 5 C64 computers two with original boxes but it seems 1 of them works can the others be fixed? They all have power lights that come on but nothing comes up on the monitor. I have 2 hard drives that I have found so far one constantly runs and does nothing red light never turns off and the other works fine. I took some stuff out of the Attic and tested a few games they work fine. But their is so much stuff i think I have 10 huge boxes full of software and hardware I even found 2 printers so far I really have no idea all the stuff I have nor the room to take it all out and go through it yet so it may be a slow process. I even have a bunch of stuff that I have found that was never opened at all games hardware ect. Any idea on the value of some of this stuff and can the nonworking stuff be fixed? with the huge amounts of doubles of games and software I would consider trades for some stuff depending on what you wanted to trade. I was never a big C64 fan I got this stuff well after all the nintendo systems and home computers came out so I never really got into it. If you need pictures let me know.
  18. Yeah I have been to many an Arcade auction the ticket/redemption type games always go cheap I guess they lose their apeal once you cant trade tickets for useless crap anymore.
  19. I think the one I would really want out of all thoes is the Space Invaders Jamma cabs ehh I could make my own now I have plenty of styles to copy in my basement and garage.
  20. Yeah I would have to agree that thing is a total piece of crap Quote "Built-in 13-inch full color monitor" for the $500 your paying you can't even get a 19" monitor. What the hell!! You would go blind playing the games!! whats the point of a full sized cab without at least a 19" to a 25" monitor in it?
  21. I'm looking for a few wire harnesses Crystal Castles + maybe PCB cage, original Mario brothers wire harness the first one not the NES version, and Rampage I have one but its butchered horribly. I have been looking on ebay forever with no luck thought I would try here.
  22. I have way too many to do I have reached the limit my garage can handle like around 12 or so games I need to finish up. Im stuck till I get rid of some of them. but $700 seems a little much I just got 2 gutted cabs 1 working double dragon in an old mario brothers cabinet and 3 monitors off ebay for $20.50 best deal I ever made thoes 3 cabinets overloaded me though.
  23. Not all the labels on these games are in the best of shape some are in really good shape. A few of them are missing their top labels a pacman, Berzerk, and Ice hockey these 3 are missing the top labels. Some games for some reason are missing the internal spring loaded plastic piece that covers the game chip in the game cart most if not all still have the spring just not the plastic piece, it does make it a pain in the ass to pit it in the Atari without it. 1 Pac Man is missing it both Defenders are missing it 1 of the Asteroids, 1 Missile Command, 1 of the Yar's revenge, 1 of the Combat's, 1 of the Berzerk same one missing top label, 1 Centipede, SwordQuest Earth World all these games missing this plastic piece in the cart. All the rest of the games are fine other than label blemishes and they all work even the ones with missing pieces. I have no idea why the plastic pieces were removed these are extras I got in lots off eBay.
  24. Beat me to it I couldn't find the link right away I was going to suggest http://www.arcadechips.com/ as well they have a lot of good stuff.
