  1. Not sure why this is a negative, it's a pack-in, at least for the US. I think it's safe to say that 10 months into the 2600 lifespan the #1 selling software was Combat. So you are saying that US pack in games are considered as individual sales and figured into the over-all sales for the week? Does anyone know if that is a fact? I don't. Is Wii-sports packaged with each Wii? Because i honestly do not think you can count pack in games for software sales, and if they do, it really throws the reality of the software sales askew because you can't buy Wii Sports without getting the Wii..right?? Did Combat count for software sells when it was packaged for the 2600 or did SMB for the NES count as software sales though it was packaged with the NES?? I honestly believe pack ins should NOT count. according to joystiq.com it counts for some reason.. its why its always on the top of the wii charts. anywho, i liked this game.. and I too was very much insulted when reviews said it was no better than ps2 graphics. there were many things like the wood floors , and even the bubbles in the car wash that were pretty impressive.. and that needed more horsepower than a 7 year old chip. However, I must say that "adjusting" to the controls isnt ok anymore now that ive played Prime 3. I thought it was ok back then to spend a lot of time figuring the controls on red steel out and "fighting" the system to get your hand where you want it... but now with Prime i dont think i can go back to red steel. Im hoping that Ubisoft adopts the prime control so that Red Steel 2 is playable. its a great game, with good voices, graphics, and levels.. a lot better than how bad it was scrored, but yea.. the control is unforgivable now where as back at launch it was something i could deal with. if you like red steel so much (whoever started the thread) go buy metroid. If your going this ga ga over a launch title, youll crap your pants with prime 3 I played Prime today. Yes, it is fun but I still like RedSteel better. I can't turn my gun to the side like a gansta in Metriod Plus the control setting prevents me from using my gun attactment and an Alien world doesn't look as good as the Asian setting in RedSteel.
  2. I can't lie down on the couch and play computer games, so I have to stick with consoles. Yeah, but you can use a 360 controller with your pc to play gta:sa
  3. GTA:SA for ps2/xbox sucks in comparison to the PC version, which is the best version you can buy.
  4. Did anyone pick this up for PS2?, if so how is it? From just reading about it, this game reminds me of Tail of the Sun for the original playstation, which I happend to like. I like the whole ape- human evolution and helping to build a tribe. It sounds like fun and something different. The game is only $20 too.
  5. DS. and I don't even own either. PSP sucks because all the games are just shitty ports of ps2 games.
  6. 60GB and good luck finding one now. Yeah, you do get the best game for the PS3(Motorstorm) with the 80GB, but the $40 extra for 20 more Gigs isn't worth it to me. I don't think i'll even use half of the 60GB's.
  7. Yeah, did anyone get Carnival Games? Maybe it needs an official thread. I'm interested to know how it plays. I kinda want it more than MP3.
  8. You get a big kick in the nuts! What took you so long to get/play a DC?. Shame on you sir Anyways I liked these.... Trickstyle Blue Stinger Power Stone games Sword of the Berserk Wacky Races Skies of Arcadia Shenmue Zombie Revenge Star Wars:Jedi Power Battles Carrier Soul Calibur Outtrigger Alien Front Online Fighting Vipers 2 (pal) Under Defeat and many many more...
  9. Red Steel definitely does get better as it goes along. Even graphically (the burning dojo and bamboo forest are really nice looking levels). But man, the car wash stage? That was one of the cheesiest stages in video game history. Really the low part of the entire game, imho. Ah, the car wash stage wasn't too bad. It was somthing different and a change, it's nice to have a little varity in FPS's. It was somthing I would have never expected to happen next in that level. It was a surprise and I was like, "am I really going to have to go through that car wash to proceed?". It's memorable, good or bad.
  10. Hey, I'm actually at that same level right now and it's really bizarre and weird but hella hard and fun. What did you think of the part where you hop in a roller coaster and shoot those things that fly toward you while your racing on the tracks? That was so awesome. I also like this level because there are a lot of manikin's standing around and it makes it hard to pick out the real bad guys because they are dressed up just like that manikin's! Yeah, it's diffently something I haven't seen in a FPS, thats why I love this game. Some of the bad guys even pos as manikin's and wait for you pass by so they can shoot you in the back A lot of people who hate this game never gave it a chance to play these really cool levels later on in the game.I love all the levels and they really give the game a style that makes me want to play through them again and again. If people actually took the time to "get" the controls, they might like it and give it the credit it deserves.
  11. Actually, i'd like to see a good version of Independence Day made for the next-gen. The movie needs a good game, the game that came out on saturn and playstation were horrible. I can imagine ID on PS3/360 now, thousands of alien space crafts blasting around on screen in 1080p. The last level would have you flying a space craft into space to blow up the mothership before you head back to earth That would just rule.
  12. I'd like to see something in the spirit of Jackie Chan's Stuntmaster(PS game) be brought out for the next gen systems. That game was a very fun action game and still is.
  13. How long did you have that 360 before it died? PS3 is got Warhawk and Lair comming out. You also got Resistance , MotorStorm and Virtua Fighter 5 too.
  14. Thanks BTW I also got a like new FC Twin for sale: Boxed like new. The FC Twin is grey ini color and has been used less than 1hr. I got it a few months ago and never really played it. I'll also throw in a few SNES and NES games also. Games: Super Mario World Bionic Commando RC Pro AM Terminator Boxed like new Super Star Wars Take all this for $50
  15. DAMN!! You sure that isn't a screen shot from the n64 crusin games? The Wii can do better than that, the devs are being extreamly lazy with this one.
  16. are you piecing it out? If so, you got any spare expansion paks? No, but I have a n64 system that comes with an expansion pack for sale. $20
  17. I would like to reccomend Marble Mania. It's a fun game and uses the wiimote quite well.
  18. Dragon's Lair 3D. I finally got an high def adapter and componet cable for the orignal xbox, so I popped in Dragons Lair 3D seeing it supported 1080i and widescreen. Boy, this game looks Beautiful in 1080i!
  19. Too many to list. I have damn near every game for the N64, so just pm what your looking for and i'll give you a price and a description of the condition. 20. Every review of Red Steel I have seen/read has ragged on the graphics, so I guess i'm directing it too the reviewers, like gamespot and such... I thought it controlled like crap too when I first played it, but after getting use to the controls and fiddling with the sensor bar/sensitivity I managed to find a sweet spot for controlling the gun. Maybe you just need to make a few adjustments to make it control better. I have found out that the closer you put the sensor bar to the tv screen the more it mimicks real hand moments on the screen. Actaully I have played a lot of FPS's. It's my favorite genre and have only missed playing a few. Red Steel just clicked with me.
  21. I think they are great with some of the best lighting effects I have ever seen in a game. Do I need to clean my glasses or do I just have a poor graphical eye? I seem to be the only guy who thinks that Red Steel graphics look boarderline amazing. The graphics might be slightly grainy but other than that they seem awesome with a lot of style. I'm about half way through the game and have noticed several things that make this game cool. #1:Levels I like the levels a lot. The whole Japanese feel is great and I find myself just looking around at all the nice furniture and architecture. The message parlor was great with interesting looking rooms and steam effects from the sana room. It almost brings a tear to my eye to see of this great stuff completely destroyed after a satisfying gun fight The level im at now had me hopping into a dumpster hanging from a pulley in the air, I has hidding inside of it blasting foes while it moved around. To me that was way awesome. #2 Destructable items: It's just so fun to blasts a bunch of rounds off destroying everything you come in contact with. There was one merorable part so far that had a guy standing in front of a glass elevator. I had a magnum and shot him only to see him fly back from the impact and smash through the glass to his death. That was another thing that makes this my all time favorite shooter. and finally the graphics. Everybody seems to just look at a games textures and say "oh that game looks like crap" but what about the lighting?the framrate which it runs when the gun fights get crazy? what about all the stuff moving around in the levels? The explosions? God I could go on and on about why I love this game and why I think the graphics are amazing. As you can probaley tell I love Red Steel. I love it so much so that I' pretty sure with myself that this is the greatest FPS and game that I have ever played in my life. I also play this with the Pega light gun attactment and it just makes Red Steel even that much greater.
  22. Just bought 2 of these guns. Plays really good with Red Steel and Farcry. At first I didn't like it because it made the game too jerky, but that was all fixed when I moved the sensor bar to the very edge of my tv screen rather that placing it a foot below the tv. People complaining about the gun should just fiddle with the sensor bar to get the best experience. Use double sided tape and stick it a mm below the tv screen. Those are the only two shooters I have and this gun shell makes the games a lot cooler. Plus it's the only light gun of there for the Wii that uses a trigger to fire, more realistic than than crappy Wii Blaster. Get these before they get banned ....
  23. I'd like to see any obscure light gun arcade games on thew Wii. The Wii is the best choice for light gun arcade games.
