I can probably reverse engineer the original lynx's designs to make a backward compatability -

I dont have the money but I am a hardware engineer with degrees in printed curcuit designs I could with the help of programers design somthing like what you guys want. It wouldent cost me any money cause I've already got a really nice CAD computer at my house. I could do the work in my spare time. but as for manufacturing one of these software publishers would like to back that. as for features AtariAge could host a pole as to what people want. this is not at all impossible. -
I have one to trade to you

Homebrew Games and what we reveal before completion
VidGameKing replied to Cafeman's topic in Atari 5200
I actually think that relesing a small amount of information before you relese the game is good, then after it is out, post all of your notes. that way people can play the game, then study up on it. but thats just what I perfer doing. -
you can buy me any game you want!

You Bet I'd be interested, I've been wanting to get my hands on a jag for some time now, I have a 5200, two port, two working controllers, power supply, and switch box, I;ll also throw in centipeede, Defender, and Qbert. It's everything you need. if you want it, let me know, Right now I'm in CA. (I could also include a brand new out-of-box track ball if you have anything else to go with the Jag, or something for the 2600/7800) [ 01-15-2002: Message edited by: marialover ] -

Thanx for the advise

Actually thats sort of what I figured, but I wanted to let people understand what sort of thing I going to build. I actually think I can combine the curcuitry of the 130XE and the 5200 and put a hardware buffer to switch between the two different settings. I wanted to put in the removeable keyboard of the XEGS so that why i wanted info on that. so I could figure out how to do that. still I need any and all info people can give me. I'm also thinking wireless controllers, 900Mhz or 2.4 Ghz that would eliminate cords all together.

I am actually working out the details of building such a box. but not with so meny things. I am designing a system that is compatable with 2600/5200/7800/400/800/XE systems. but still need some info before I can print the circuit. what I need a detail schematics for the XEGS. I've got everything else in order.

is there any way to download the roms from this web page and put them onto roms to play on the game systems? not to run them off of emulators, but on a cart in the machine, in front of the TV?

Thats because legend of zelda and a sipmple atari game are two diffrent things. atari games take skill to master, nintendo games are just adventure games that a ten year old can do.

I want to know the EXACT differences between the 5200 and the atari 800/400/XE systems. I want to try to make a combined system, with a cart prot that will accept both types of carts, (or somthing to that effect). and put in a hardware buffer to switch between the two settings. I dont think I would want to make such a thing to sell, I want to make it cause it would be interesting to try. anyone have any ideas to help me would be great. I also need detaild schematics for the XEGS or other 8-bit computer. thanks to Atariage, I have what I need for the 5200. I actually plan on designing a new curcuit board that would handle both systems. I also want to make it alot smaller.
