  1. I was at home playing Highlander, and wondering how anything with glorius software like this could fail to take over the marketplace. Those goshdarn plebians never realize true brilliance until it's to late.
  2. Sorry if the truth from my point of view pricks at your fanboy sensitivity. In all honesty, Highlander would have been number eleven, but he asked only for ten.
  3. There were two, super nova and darius twin. Genesis had sagaia. Only reason i didn't like Darius 2 on saturn was the zooming screen they came up with to try to translate the arcade originals three screen set-up. Darius Gaiden on Saturn and G-Darius on PSx kick much butt though.
  4. i've never taken one aprt to verify, but I have heard multiple times that it was do to the extra rf shielding NEC had to add in order to make it FCC compliant.
  5. Thought I'd chime in with my top ten games worth playing on a jag. 1. Tempest 2000 2. Tempest 2000 3. Tempest 2000 4. Tempest 2000 5. Tempest 2000 6. Tempest 2000 7. Tempest 2000 8. Tempest 2000 9. Tempest 2000 10.Tempest 2000
  6. nope, that's no good. You wouldn't be able to play Highlander, greatest game of all time.
  7. lurked off and on for a few years. only recently decided to share my personal insights with every one. Atariage really is much better for it.
  8. oh my god. So because I call it as i see it, I am a liar and not a gamer. why would I own three? Because I am a collector with severe system ADD. I buy and sell systems at the drop of a hat, which more than one board member can probably attest too. I wasn't starting anything. I stated my OPINION, which I guess it something that should not be done, lest it make some fanboy cry in his cheerios. A guy asked if a jag CD was worth it. I said no and gave my reasons why. Why would a Nuon be worth owning...hmm, can't be that stack of DVD's I own...can't be that it's incredibly small library of games is also incredibly decent...nope, why indeed. i don't give a rat's rectum what you would like to believe. Go play some more Highlander. I come here as a public service. You're welcome.
  9. Nothing makes me smile more than when loser collectors shell out their cash for stuff they KNOW they will hate, but must have anyway. thanks for the sale rhindle.
  10. ok fagula, I have owned three jad cds and have played every game in it's pitiful library. That includes the craptacular Iron Soldier 2 and even worse Battlemorph. What is there that just needs to be played? the countless FMV games that can be played on just about anything? The afore mentioned Highlander and Hoverstrike? Hey kids, make sure you do all your chores, or you won't get to play Vid Grid or Blue Lightning! Quit leadiong people astray. The games suck and are far from being worth the cost of the system. BTW, there is something that can compare to VLM, it's called VLM2 and is available on the Nuon DVD players.
  11. if someone gives you one for free, then yes. If someone actually wants you to pay them for the pain of playing it, well, it depends on how of a masochist you are. For $5 I will shove shish kabob skewers though your eyes. It will have the same effect.
  12. My personal favorite will always be FING OF FIGHTERS!!!!!
  13. this poll is rigged. Otherwise Streets of Rage would have all the votes, as it should.
  14. for some reason, Zero Tolerance was one of the fewFPS I could play without getting hedaches/nausia. For it's time, I thought it was great. If you shot a wall, it showed damage. Enemies blood would splash against the walls. Small details like that made it cool. A friend and I actually hacked together a cable for system linking for this game, yet never did link up. Cable is probably still sitting in the back of my closet somewhere.
  15. 98% of my jaguar, 32X, CDi, and CD32 library was a total waste of money besides the bragging rights. But even those don't seem worth it any more. Last game I bought that totally killed my passion for gaming was Monster Hunter for PS2. I was so psyched for Phantasy Star Online type joy. Boy was I let down.
  16. different storylines, but still better on pc. but i suppose you'd rather play a pixelated, framey, blury fps. that's your choice.
  17. A guy I know has offered this game up as trade bait, but I have no idea what it is worth. Anyone have any input? A search on eBay turned up nada. thanks.
  18. ok, the criteria was great and unique. Tempest doesn't count, because I already stated that it was both of the above. Alien vs Predator is much better on PC. Ultra Vortek is neither great, nor unique. NBA Jam and Rayman have both been done better on other systems. Battlesphere I have not played, so I can not comment on that, but due to price, it is unattainable by most jag gamers. I have read many times (on this very board) that it isn't all that hot, except for multi player. Battlemorph though possibly unique, is not all that great either. I'm sorry guys, there's just not enough of a game there to keep most people playing through to completion. I will certainly agree that jag Wolfenstein is most likely the best version of it, but just because it was the first successful FPS doesn't count for that much. I can name eleventy billion first person shooters I'd rather play than Wolfenstein. This is not to say the Jag isn't a worthwhile system, that I believe everyone should experience, just to see what it was all about. All I'm saying is that there are no games other than tempest on it that can't be experienced elsewhere, and better.
  19. I truly pity you and your game-starved Jaguar if that is the way you feel. There are a lot of great, unique games that can only be found on the Jaguar and no other system on earth. 832340[/snapback] ok mighty gaming guru, go ahead and name five games that are truly great, unique games on the jag. Since there are "a lot" of them this shouldn't be too hard. Tempest doesn't count.
  20. pretty much completed my quest of console games (have all that I could want, not necessarily all there are). Now I'm after CDi and Commodore 64.
  21. sega saturn x was barely born when the jag was released. Accept him with open arms, and guide him. He's one of the few of the new generation that actully shows interest in the pre-sony world.
  22. It's all about tempest 2000. every other game has been done elsewhere, better. just get tempest, and your jag library will be complete.
