  1. If anyone is interested, here's my in-progress PacMan box/label art I'm doing for fun/myself. Not sure if a cart release/artwork has already been set up, but this is heading in a direction I envisioned would be fun. I wanted to do a unique version of Pac-Man that hasn't been done before, but still incorporates classic elements of the character I like. I'm trying to think about what it might look like as a neo-retro release, rather than a straight-up old-school look. The maze is a 3d render I did based on the layout of Debro's game maze. Still needs ghosts, fixed/finished limbs for Pac-Man, and much more, but I would love to hear your thoughts (and Debro's!).
  2. He crated an NTSC cartridge version of Klax for you? If so, that's awesome! Can I get one as well? Would that be on an EPROM, or regular old ROM?
  3. I am becoming addicted to this game, and that's just on an emulator with the keyboard! One suggestion--could there be an intermediate animation frame for your character while getting up (while you're mashing the button), between being down and "on the way up"? I think it would make it easier to tell how close you are to getting up, and would look smoother. But I LOVE it...! Can't wait for the cart!
  4. One of my good college buddies' brother got one of these stuck in the top of his head. Thrown by my buddy. Instant ER, many stitches, slight skull fracture, no more Jarts. Of course, I think my Dad still has a set in his garage.
  5. That Klax rocks! I wish there were an NTSC boxed version to acquire! Nice work! (BTW, I am now addicted to collecting boxed games, even though I only own about 46 of them...!)
  6. Bought a great 2600 "game console" lap accessory from him, and the process was smooth as silk. He offered to sell it to me when I mentioned in another thread I was looking for one. Would happily buy/sell/trade with him again!
  7. I've seen those in your pictures before? Were they 2600 European releases? And PAL, I'm assuming?
  8. I think that one high note is just a little sharp--sounds a little shrill the way it is. But the game is coming along well. Are you planning to have a label contest for the eventual cart release?
  9. I saw this and wanted to get some opinions. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...hlink:middle:us This guy is selling the Crazy Climber box and manual, but holding back the cart. Is the price he's asking for it a bit high, since it's just the box? Or does the scarcity of such an item deserve it? I was wondering what others thought...
  10. I would definitely be interested in a flah cart, to help beta test new homebrews, try out new games before I purchase carts, etc. I hear Chimera and the Harmony cart are still in progress, but since I can't get a Krok or CC, I support any and all 2600 flash cart projects! I'd buy whatever comes out first, and am excited about all new 2600 hardware efforts.
  11. Sorry, I lost my box maker and have no way to make a box. I would love to but at this time it's just not possible. Do you mean you lost the printer who printed + diecut your boxes, or someone to design them? I'm a packaging designer and would love to help if I could...
  12. We don't serve your kind here! (Just a joke. Atari isn't my #1 system either. Shh! Don't tell!) Blasphemy! Ban these heathens!!!
  13. If you can wait a bit you may not need a Supercharger to play this Sounds great! I will wait! BTW, I hope you don't mind...I'm a graphic designer/illustrator, and I'm working on a label/box design for your game. Not finished yet, but here's a sneak peek...
  14. Thanks for explaining it. I don't think I'll mod my Supercharger, so I will have to wait for an edit to the ROM or the cart. It still is great.
  15. Love this! I downloaded the final version and played in on the Supercharger with real hardware. Addicting! I kept hitting reset but couldn't get more than 500 pts on the hard version. Is it planned for a cart release? I'd buy it...and I have some ideas I might work up for packaging/label art. Nice work, Simone!
  16. I tried the latest build on a supercharger on real hardware today, and every time I get eaten by a ghost, the display flips out and I have to restart. Has anyone else gotten the same issue on real hardware, or is it just my conversion of the .bin?
  17. That is pretty awesome, but nothing says late 70s/early 80s like faux woodgrain on home electronics.
  18. Hey everyone! I am looking for an image of an Atari accessory that was basically a lap-holder for an Atari joystick. It had faux woodgrain as well, I believe. There was a great thread where people were posting great Atari-related memorabilia and accessories with images, but I can't seem to find it--that's where I found the image. I'd love to buy one of these things, but I don't even know what it's called. Thanks!
  19. This was a fun thread to read! After visiting Sean Kelly's Videogames store in Norridge, IL, I succumbed to the Box Mania. I now own nine boxed games, including my boxed Supercharger! I'm trolling eBay every day for boxed 2600 games. Addicting...
  20. Al, I have a Crystal Castles that I can send, along with 5 carts I wanted to send for recycling (all 5 are non-functioning chips). If that's cool, let me know and I'll send them all along to you.
  21. I'm a fellow Chicagoan, and I just recently found Videogames in Norridge. After never finding anything in the wild, it was a thrill to go somewhere close to purchase BOXED 2600 carts! It was a neon Atari sign in the window that drew me in as I was driving by. I love it. I had no idea that Sean Kelly was the owner. I assume he's still active around the classic gaming world, here, right? I first bumped into him when I bought some stuff back in 1997, when I was re-energized about the 2600 in college. And where is this Replay place? Near Chicago?
  22. This is amazing with what you're doing with 4K. Will the 4K version be the end of the road, or are there any plans to do a beefed up version with intros and other additions? (which I'm assuming would take you way beyond that.)
  23. I want one as well. Please put me on the list!
  24. I like that idea too. Though it would elongate the time between ordering and receiving the game, right? That being said, I have a Crystal Castles that can be used. Are you interested in single carts like that, or just people who have multiples?
  25. This looks great. I'm excited to see a working .bin. Keep up the good work!
