  1. I was just telling my 8 year old son about this last night. He scoffed...doesn't think it could be done...I told him last I heard someone was working on it. HA!! I just found out about this from the youtube video. Sweet! I'd love to own a version on the 2600. Any word on development?
  2. I thought white men couldn't jump. (Sorry, couldn't resist...)
  3. I had emailed Al about this same question. Has this been set up correctly on the site yet? (And I know you're super-busy, Al. Just wondering...) Thanks!

Yes, I'd love a cart version!
  5. #39 for me, please. I'm excited about this game, even for $60.
  6. Andrew, that is SO excellent!! Nice work! I can't wait to buy and play this. Great work--keep it up!
  7. Those look sweet, Al!! Can't wait to get mine!
  8. Professional equipment often uses cheaper materials than consumer-grade equipment. I don't know how much Albert is spending to get the labels printed, but I wouldn't be surprised if the complete job cost from the pro is comparable to the materials cost for doing it himself. Sorry, friends, but that's just not true. The results on an offset press are going to be tons better than something done on a home machine or color laser. I'm a graphic designer, and trust me--if Al is using a solid printer, these are going to be so much better than previous efforts. The quality of the labels and materials will be worth a little waiting. Just wanted to throw in a slightly more informed opinion...
  9. Hi, Paul. Whatever happened to this new Homestar game? Did it get off the ground?
  10. Too bad. I'd buyt it too in a sec!
  11. C'mon: is there really any other answer than 'yes'? Not necessarily. I think Curt would have told us if the project was canceled.
  12. So, that means we should hear from him this time next year, after my Cubs have gone and won it all in 08!
  13. Your best bet would probably be to scan an existing, flattened box and then build a template (or dieline, as we call it in printing and graphic design) that you can use to see where the edges/folds/scores are. Unless someone (like Al, maybe) has an existing box dieline he'd let you use...
  14. I never played this game either, but it looks great! Can't wait to see it actually get released. Also Andrew, I posted this in another thread but it didn't get answered: I read on the FSS site that they had released a limited edition 5200 edition of Boulder Dash. If someone got permission to use the rights for that, why has it been difficult to do so for a 2600 version? I feel like I'm missing part of the story...
  15. ...doing a homebrew version for the 2600 of Rally X? Rally X by Namco I was just playing this game on the Namco joystick plugin game. I love the simple-but-fun gameplay, and the music is so catchy!
  16. Mmmh, never say "never ever", eh? Is that a hint?
  17. I voted to $50. I have a dumb question--I read on the FSS site that they had released a limited edition 5200 edition of Boulder Dash. If someone got permission to use the rights for that, why has it been difficult to do so for a 2600 version? I feel like I'm missing part of the story...
  18. So, does AA have any plans to offer these styles of carts on homebrews? I missed out on being able to get any games with the old red, blue or clear carts. I'd love to get some now.
  19. Thanks so much! That's exactly what I needed!! I've got it working now!
  20. Gotcha. I have the CD and the makewav app, but not sure how to use it in DOS (or how to get to a command line to do so), and the lack of documentation isn't helping the non-tech in me.
  21. Can someone please explain to me how to use this program in WinXP? I can't get the dialog box to come up to run the .exe. Any help? Thanks! It's been awhile since I messed with it, but does the site say something about a dialog box? I've only ever run it from the command line. OK, I guess that shows how little I know...how would I run it from the command line? Sorry for the dumb question...
  22. Can someone please explain to me how to use this program in WinXP? I can't get the dialog box to come up to run the .exe. Any help? Thanks!
  23. Maybe I'm kind of dumb and not enough of a DOS guy, but when I try and run the makewav application on my WinXP machine, I can't get the dialog box to come up to type in a command line or anything, to convert a bin to a wav. Can someone please help me?
  24. Whoa! So Curt IS working on something Atari 2600 related!!!! SWEET!
