  1. Most people here are just into collecting Atari 2600 games, well I also like to collect memorabilia and just when I thought i'm getting close to finding all that was made, something like this comes along. 1981 Atari "Battlezone" custome model van from MPC, has anyone else seen this before and if so are there any others like this?

  2. Or you can do like I did and make your own. I made this box in about a half hour with scrap stuff laying around my garage. The top part flips open on 2 hinges to remove or change the games inside

  3. I bought this on eBay. I never came across a 2600 box like this before and I wanted to know if this was an Atari released box.

So you were the one who bought that one! I almost put a bid on it but I thought that the box looked a little too dirty at first, but now I see it does not look that bad.

  4. So what do you do with them now? Are y'all getting the tech, or taking to kinkos are something? Who has the tech?

Use them to continue making nice looking repro boxes without the tech, you'd need a professional print business to do that sort of thing. Anyone want some blanks? Shoot me a PM.

If you ever decied to make re-pro boxes for some of these aftermarket games then please let us know ( I would be willing to pay like $25 or so a box ), I will pay for copies but as far as taking these blank boxes to a print shop, well lets just say that I am WAY TO LAZY FOR THAT.

  5. I can't even begine to describe the emotions I felt when I saw that wonderful little boy open that box. You are a great person Shawn and you have done a great thing to make his life that much brighter. My wife could not believe that I was brought to tear when I saw that video but it did and I hope he enjoys his new Wii.

  6. Had a dye manufactured for a 100% copy of the original Atari boxes. What do you guys think?

Pretty cool, but sometimes I worry that technology like this may go into the wrong hands. One day I believe that the only way one will be able to tell the difference between an original and a fake is by a microscope or some kind of carbon dating.

more like no way at all to tell aside from honesty.

There is no doubt that sooner or later that some one will try to pass a fake Quadrun or something more rare but for now I like the idea of getting boxes for some of these great after market games like Lady Bug, Mad Max, The Dukes of Hazzard, the A-Team and so forth.

  7. Here are all 3 of my Swordquest t-shirts framed, including the contest posters. Now as far as a price goes, If I remember right, I paid around $50 for Earthworld and about the same for Fireworld but Waterworld as a bit more. I think if you were to put all three together in a sale, they would sell for over $200 easy. Hell some paid over $150.00 for a swordquest store poster so people want these items.

    :) :) :)

  8. This is by far one of the rarest Atari items to ever be up for auction and I for one would love to be the person who wins it but I'm pretty sure the price for this will go of over $3,000 and I'm not the person to spend that kind of money.
