My Atari 2600 collection/ new organized
ATARIPITBULL replied to iwan-iwanowitsch-goratschin's topic in Atari 2600
Yeah, sorting the collection is a very enjoyable amusement. But I hope the new place is enough for the next few years! I agree with you that the bricks and planls style is hard to beat but the built in shelf protects my collection from sunshine much better and at least the shelf helps me to save space! 95% of my games are sealed or nib! See if you buy my collection then you will have over 850 boxed games and the Baseball bat you wanted, sure most of your collection will be doubles but who cares! -
They look kind of cool, but since they are not made for Atari I won't be bidding on them, but still kind of cool.

Storage/Display question for boxed collectors
ATARIPITBULL replied to horseboy's topic in Atari 2600
You should also think about buying a dehumidifier system for your collection room like I do if your keeping boxed atari items. You would be surprised how much moister is in the air in your collection room on warm day's, plus you won't have to worry about your boxes starting to smell moldy. Remember, humidity is the enemy!!! -
Any one want to buy my whole collection.

i know a lot your items you did not get cheap, if you think you will get a close offer for everything, i think you are dreaming! unless Jose wants to help you out. (i would never pay close to full market value for a entire collection.) you could get close to what you paid for everything if you piece it out, but that will take many months of work. good luck! Rick Right now Joe from Atari2600.com is going over the whole thing and he is just waiting for a complete list off all my stuff then we will see what kind of price he comes up with, but time is the thing so I have to jump on this list right now. For anyone who sends me a PM or what ever, I will get back to you but just give me a little time. -

My friend has a red '98 SS convertible... Absolutely gorgeous, and hauls ass. Gives my VR4 a run for its money, but keep it safely indoors for the (LOOOOONNNNG Michigan) winter! I agree... TOUGH decision! If I even get it, I have a garage just for the car, it would never see snow or even rain. -

All right I will tell you guy's the reason why and it has nothing to do with me being sick or anything else. the only thing I love just as much as my Atari collection is a mint conditioned muscle car like a Camaro!!, My parents bought me a brand new Z-28 when I turned 16 I had lots of fun with that baby. Now a dealer ship here in Michigan contacted me that they still have, in there show room, a 2002 red Camaro SS with 6 speed manual tranny, leather interior and only 2300 miles on it, this car was only used to take people for test drives and was never sold to anyone and now they want to sell it. That's it and if I don't get an offer any where close to what i've paid for all this stuff then its no sale and I keep my collection. -
I've been thinking about selling everything I have in one lump auction, plus the buyer must come with a big truck to pick it all up. I could only imagine how much shipping would cost for all of it. I'm talking boxed games, loose homebrews, posters, ads, store display's, boxed systems, boxed controllers, store kiosk, t-shirts, bags, jackets, mugs, boxed Atari 2800 system and 7 boxed games, game centers, the whole shabang. To see some pics, just go to the members photo section and look under Ataripitbull and keep in mind that those are old pictures and lots of new stuff have been added. anyone want to make me an offer?

I have never seen that many music mate cubes in my life!!! DAMN. Any way if Crazy climber has not bought the whole lot and you break the lot up, I would buy a few off of you.
-
If your asking if I would buy one, then the answer is HELL YES !!!!!!!!! I think it looks great and I would love to be able to play Atari any place I go and if you see a cart in the wild you can now check to see if it plays before you pay.

I've never played this game and now I never will. What a dumb idea that was.

The Yars costume is mine now!!! Those pictures at the top which my good buddy "Rom Hunter" showed are my costumes and I thought Atari only came out with those 3 and now I find a Yars one, makes me wonder if there are any more out there?
-
Damn! Any time you want to sell that, you just let me know.
-
I could not say for sure about how much some one would pay for a boxed copy now but I guess I could see a copy going for around $100.00 on ebay. I bought my copy for about $45.00 back in 2002 from the www.cgexpo.com

PM sent.

WOW!! that is one hell of a shipping charge for those carts. I know that shipping has gone up a bit but I still don't think it would cost that much for all those carts and even though the seller has a great rating, it kind of looks to me like there is a little bit of bumping up bidding going on. Does anyone here have the time time to figure out how much the shipping cost would be for those 141 carts from say LA to New York.

I did not know you could play Atari 2600 games with that controller? Another controller for my wanted list.

That's a cool find, and it is, indeed, extremely rare. I'm not sure I'd call it the Holy Grail, though. If you found an Airworld prototype, that'd be the Holy Grail. -DS- Yep that is a very nice catch but Quadrun is not as rare as it used to be, but that last seald box copy did sell for over $1600.00 so I would say that its rarity has gone down but its worth has not been lowered. :!:
