Well I don't know about you guys but I just started looking at flea markets and thrift stores, and so far I have come up with sh . The only place that had any atari 2600 games, had games that are easy to find but no rare ones.
-
Well it's over now and we will have to wait to see who won. Because of the limited time I only put out two labels, but I know if I had at least one more week, I could have come up with better one's. I could tell by some of the other work that was sent in, that some people have nice print shop programes and did some excellent work, and no matter who win's, I think hozer should have more of these contest's for future games, because to be honest I think we all did better work than almost all of the old Atari games.
(Good luck to everone).

CIB?
in Atari 2600
I would say that it is very important to me because I like to have everything that came with the game. I would say that about 92 percent of my 2600 collection are CIB, or seald and now I have close to 400.

It sounds like fun, I think I'll give it a try and see if I like it.

When I first read about this contest, on this web site, I thought it would be fun and easy to make a label for this game, but so far I have spent two nights working on this and I am only about 80 percent done. Just when I think I have it like I want it, I look at it again and want to make more changes. My wife say's I should leave my label the way it is and send it in.
What I want to know is how many of you out there have all ready finished your's, and how long did it take you.

I'm sorry guy's, but for $107.00, that had better be one hell of a game, or the value of it should shoot through the roof over time for me to hand over that much cash.
-
I agree that what this guy did to you was not right, but look at it this way, he's not one of those people who you send your money to, and expect your games to be sent to you, but they never do. I had sent this little piece of s $50.00 for his crazy climber game, and he never sent it to me and he even change his email address.
So in the end you did not lose any money, and I am out $50.00.

NO, you are all wrong. Atari started to put prizes in each game like cracker jack's had done. There are prizes like a new house, gold coins, and even ford Pinto's.
-
This sounds like fun!!. I know that there are people out there with some nice design programs, but ill give it a go anyway.
-
I love to play dark chambers too, but I will have to agree with the others and say that Dragonstomper is a little bit better in over all playing. SORRY!!
-
If you are talking about the one on ebay right now, it would be worth about $20.00 if it were complete. If you read the information, the game is missing the instruction book, so all you are paying your $20.00 for is the box, because you can get the game by itself for about $4- $6 bucks.

I think its great to have another Atari Freak so close to my area and there are others around Michigan too. (I LOVE IT)

I started by collecting all the easy to get boxed games from Atari & Activision, then I started on all the other companys. I am getting to the point were I have just about all the easy to find games, and now I am going into the hard to get boxed games like Montezumas revenge, Minor 2049 I & II, Mr do's castle and others. I would have to say that with all my 2600 systems and the close to 400 boxed games that I have, my collection must be about 3 to 4 thousand bucks, and believe me my wife wishes I would stop now.
-
You got that right!!. Some guy in California was asking for a first bid of $40.00, for a boxed copy of Alien. Alien is a little hard to find complete with the box, but it is not rare enough for $40.00.
-
I just played two games from my collection today, they are were Beat'em and Eat'em, and Mr do's castle.
-
This is no real help, but I just received another atari age magazine for my collection, (Volume 1 Issue 4), and inside it had a Christmas catalog that showed a picture of a blue manuel binder with the Atari logo on top. I have never seen one of these binders for sale in any web site.
-
Yes that is a nice little collection, but fast eddie looks to be the only game in that whole group thats O.K. If you friend would sell you everything for about $20.00, then that would be nice.

When I first started to buy games that were shrinkwrapped, I could tell that some of them had been re-shrinkwrapped and that pissed me off a lot, but now I have some nice rare games complete and mint, and I am thinking of buying a shrinkwrapping machine to keep them free from stains and that sort of damage, but after a while, the shrinkwrapping can start to crush the box, so now I don't know what to do. I have all my games in big plastic containers, but now I am thinking of building some display cabinets to show them off, but I would still would like to protect them a little extra.

Don't listen to those other people my friend, I loved all of the Swordquest games.
I loved the swordquest games so much that they were the only games for the Atari 2600 I would play for a long time.

A little off the subject but for those of you who did not know, Parker Brothers was going to make a game for the 2600 about Mcdonald's, but what about I have no Idea., Maybe you have to make a burger and fries before you die.
-
I think that many games made for the 2600 system sucked liked Haunted house, Star Raiders, Dragster and Dice Puzzel by Panda to name a few.
-
I think Venture, Berzerk and Asteroids were pretty good games that were turned into 2600 games, but as far as the worst, I would have to agree with the others and say Pac-Man sucked. When Pac-man was going to come out on Atari 2600, when I was little, I got excited, but when I got it I was mad as hell.
-
I think you did a fine job on your logo, but if you don't mind, I think you should capitalize the A in Atari. Just a thought.
-
Some other game names that come to my mind are:
1) Beat'em and eat'em.
2) off the wall.
3) Beamrider.

Worst 2600 game I have and what is the worst ever?

To pick the worst Atari 2600 game out is not an easy thing to do. There are a lot of games that suck like ghost busters, Pac-Man, all the games made by Froggo, and all the Adult games made my mystique. Other people will say that they like some of the games that I don't, so it's always going to change.
