I just got a mint in the box and sealed copy of Dice puzzle by panda, (For $54.00), and Two never used Atari 2800 game boxes.
-
Post the centerpiece of your collection here.
ATARIPITBULL replied to King Atari's topic in Atari 2600
Well I own some of the rare 2600 games like Waterworld, Crazy climber and so on. but the one game I own and love the most is my seal and mint in the box copy of Montezuma's revenge. -
I would love to see a remake of Pitfall, Raiders of the lost ark, or even Adventure. Could you imagine what they could do with those games today.
-
Yes, both of your games are form M Network. The reason they have the name Disney on them is because Disney owns the rights to the movie. As far as the Singapore name at the lower right hand side of the label, I think thats were they were made.
-
I think Atari them selves had some bad ones like Combat and breakout. I must say that even though games like Combat sucked as far as graphics go, I still liked playing it against other people.

Caution: Playing Atari may be hazardous to your health

I think if you are getting physically drained by playing a video game then you should put down the controller, head to the gym for some weight lifting, then go back to playing decathlon. You will look and feel better and wont get so drained from Atari. -
Sounds like the Atari Space Age joystick to me. The Space Age joystick is kind of rare, but you can find them on some of these Atari web sites, that have Atari items to sell.
-
If I have to pick which one I liked to play the best, it would have to be Waterworld, only because the graphics looked good, but to tell you the truth, I only realy liked the story line and the comic books of these games and not so much the playing of them.
-
I was just ten years old when the game came out and I just had the game for two days, when a friend of mine asked me if he could play it over the weekend, and I let him, so when the weekend was up, I went over to his house to pick it up and he told me he had beatin it and how he did it before I could say don't tell me.
-
Boy, I sure would love to see a Raiders of the lost Ark part II, or a Superman II, or even a Tutankham part II. I think that these three games and some others should have sequels made of them because they were fun to play.
-
Well I hope you have some money to spend because just buying the common games, which can run from $3.00 up to $19.00 each, can ad up. If you try to buy only the rare one's first, they can go anywhere form $70.00 to over $1000.00. I my self started with the common ones, and bought a rare one now and then, but now I have just about all the common ones and its time to start saving for the ultra rare ones. Anyway good luck on your collection.

I'm also 30 years old, and i'm still collecting Atari 2600 games, because they make me feel like the little kid i was when I first played them.
-
I know what your talking about brother, I also had sent out my payments a little late because my job keeps me so busy that I sometimes forget to mail them out on time, and then I get booted off for NP, and the worst thing was that one of those *******s keep my money and never sent me my game, and Ebay never did anything about it.

I think a good match for a song with an Atari game would be Limp Bizkits MY Way, when playing a good game of Pitfall.
-
When my mom bought me my first system, which came with combat of course, she bought me two games, They were Raiders of the lost Ark, and Adventure.
-
Well I was a little to young to buy my first one, but my mom bought mine at K-mart store in taylor MI, back in 1982 for about $200.00, and two games (Adventure & Raiders of the lost ark), both were about $45.00 each.
-
I'm from Michigan too, you should have sold me one of your chase the chuckwagon games. Use people from Michigan must stick together. (HAHA).
-
That picture sure looks real to me, because I have a 10 year old sister who loves to play my Atari 2600 system with her friends all the time when they come over to my house.
-
Sounds great, look forward to reading it.
-
Coconuts and Cosmic Creeps for me. I too like the art work of the boxes, I would dare to say they are one of the nicest ones out.

My collection ramblings..wanted to get it off my chest heheh
ATARIPITBULL replied to Saqqqq's topic in Atari 2600
For collecting for only about two or three months now, you are well on your way to having a great collection. I did not have that many in my first two months, (My collection now is about 385 boxed games), so you are doing great. As far as how many Atari games there out there, I think I heard some where about a 1000 or so. (Keep on collecting). -
Why did you do that for, you know that most of use are allways looking for new information on Atari, and your site may have information that people want to know about.
-
you guy's sure are right. I do have three unused 2800 game boxes from Japan, (Raiders of the lost ark, Alpha beam Ernie, and Berzerk), plus I have a 2800 game flyer with pictures of the system and all the games for sale, all in Japanese.
-
I would have to say that my collection would be like the Michigan football team because it has a good size to it, but it could be better and is willing to play any other team even if it might loose. (GO MICHIGAN).
-
That's right. If you do not know what the value of your rare carts are worth, you should post a list here, and i'm sure you will get a price range for all of your items.
