  1. Some times you should not tell people you think you know about a great find at a store. I once found a salvation army store in Detroit, MI that had a complete in the box, and mint condition Atari 7800 system, with about 25 games complete in there boxes for $35, and I told a person I knew since I was a little boy about this on a friday, and when I went back to the store to buy the collection on saturday, it was gone. It seems that my so called friend had gone that friday afternoon and bought it.
  2. The most I have ever seen a collection go for on ebay was about $600.00, but he did not have all the nice games that this person on ebay, who's going for about $1800.00 as of september 4, has. My collection is kind of like his, but I all so have a big collection of posters, ads, and 2800 items as extra's.
  3. A couple of mine are, Wizard of Wor, and Dragon's Lair. I used to love to play these two games as a kid, and I have a full size Wizard of Wor arcade game in my basement.
  4. Is K-tel the same company who made all those cheap records and ect during the 70's, and how many games did they make for the 2600?. Just when I thought I heard of all the company's that made games for the Atari 2600, I look on this site and find another one.
  5. Hello, and welcom to the site. You will find almost all the answers to all your Atari questions here.
  6. I will allways love my Six And Four switch woody systems, but the Jr system is great because I can take it with me on vacation trips thanks to its little size, even in the box.
  7. Forget what they are telling you and just come over to the DARK SIDE OF THE FORCE.
  8. I don't know what you are asking with your question. If you are asking if the Atari 2600 system is a collectors item, the answer is yes. P.S. that is a nice Avatar.
  9. I don't know, there are some many different kinds of items for all the Atari systems, but I think A dust cover for the Jaguar, or a game center type of cover for it.
  10. I too would like it if Airworld was completed, but only under the direction of the original Swordquest makers. I also as a kid loved the whole Swordquest story and its games, and I was very unhappy to find out that the last game was never made because of money problems, but if it could be made, you would make a lot of people like my self very happy.
  11. All the new systems out like playstation 2,X-box, and the gamecube are great systems to play, but I don't think they could ever take the place of my Atari 2600 system and all the fun I have had with it.
  12. That price is a little high, but not by much. The price of Atari 2600 systems complete with extra games are going up in price all the time. I bought a brand new four switch woody system, never played before, mint in the box, two years ago for about $60.00, do you think you could get it at that price today? NO WAY. If you want a system, you buy a system.
  13. When I was younger, I had a dream that I was locked in a sears store, late a night, and I was looking for the floor with Atari systems and games for sale, but I could not find it no matter how hard I looked, and there were signs every where saying Atari games on sale. This dream pissed me off very bad.
  14. If any of you ever hear of Gas Hog being sold anywhere, please let me know. I have been looking for a while for a good copy of that game.
  15. Great site!. I never knew that there were so many kinds of kaboom type items. At least I now know that there is some one out there who loves the game.
  16. I sure hope all those games she bought you were mint and sealed in there boxes, because if they were not, then I would have to say that you got taken for a little ride. Sorry.
  17. I hope no one is making new patches from the old ones. I have worked hard for the ones I have and would not like it if the market was flooded with fakes.
  18. Five items off the top of my head that I want are: 1) Pengo complete in the box. 2) Waterworld comic book, instruction book, and poster. 3) Chase the chuck wagon complete. 4) Halloween complete. 5) Party nuts for the supercharger.
  19. MAN, some people find great games in some of the strangest places.
  20. I'm very carful of my Atari 2600 games and equipment, but I did once place one of my copies of Montezumas revenge on my bed and forgot about it, then latter on I jumped on the bed and crushed it with my knee.
  21. All three of the new ones that I have came from ebay. 1) Private eye sealed: (Activision). 2) Ice Hockey sealed: (Activision). 3) Montezumas revenge sealed: (Parker bros).
  22. NO, There is no real money worth to these stock papers on the market, but to us who collect Atari items, they are well worth there price if they are the real thing.
  23. Yes its true that Amazon does have Atari games for auction, but they hardly ever have a real rare game for auction, unlike Ebay who does but dam do the prices get high.
  24. If what you have just said is true then I would dare say that you have to be the best player ever on Adventure, but you might be playing it a little to much and should go out side and get a little fresh air and sunshine. I'm Just playing, keep up the good work and see if there are any other Atari games that you might be able to play with out looking.
  25. I have a pretty nice collection of games, not as big as some, but still pretty good, but of all the games I have, I would say that I play Raiders of the lost Ark, Pitfall, Adventure, Donkey Kong and Pac-man at least once a week, if not more, and I have a full time job, a wife and three kids, lets see if some of you can do that.
