  1. You are totally right. I'm 30 years old, and when I was a little boy there was nothing that could touch Atari 2600 for all the fun you could have, and there were so many different kinds of games out, that you could find the type you like to play.
  2. You have it all right, too many people had the rights to the story, and Hulk, (Which could have been good), was never made.
  3. That's great to here someone getting so many Atari items in just one week. I myself am getting about 4 to 6 games a week every week. Right now I think I have about half of all the Atari 2600 games, and a lot of them are still sealed.
  4. I also have the rectangular patch, but it was for pitfall II, but as for pitfall, I have a triangle shaped patch that came for getting the high score and sending in a picture of it.
  5. I also like the Atari system better than the colecovision. Atari had better games, and a bigger selection to chose from. The only thing I can say that I liked about the colecovision system is what was said allready, that it had better graphics, but it did not play as hard as the Atari games do.
  6. I would have to say that Donkey kong is the better of the two games for the Atari 2600 system, but I also own the two full size arcade games, I own about ten of them, and would have to say that DK Jr is the better of the two.
  7. YES!!!, I hve had people screw me over with Atari item's on ebay. I paid for two games from ebay with money orders, and never saw the games, they were (Dragonstomper & Crazy climber). Not only did I not receive my games from these two mother less dogs, but one of them had the nerve to register a complaint with ebay about me sending emails asking when I was going to receive my game. Yes people will still take your money for Atari items, and never send you your item.
  8. With all these people who still play there Atari systems, the people who are selling there surplus, the people who are making new games, and the fact that Atari has been bought by a real company who have changed there name to Atari, NO. I would say that Atari was just sleeping for a little while, but is now starting to wake up again.
  9. That's right. The only thing that shows that they were going to start working on it is the picture for the cover of the box, which you can see at the Atarihq web site. Also there is a person who is trying to make the game, with the help of others.
  10. lets try to be a little honest here please!!. You know if you had a friend that had a game like chase the chuck wagon, or Swordquest Waterworld mint or even still sealed in the box, you would tell them that they are only worth about twenty or thirty bucks and you would take the games from them.
  11. Did any other company besides Activision make patches for there games?
  12. I just bought a mint and factory sealed copy of Tax Avoiders form Ebay, and I was wondering if the maker: American Videogame Co. made any other Atari 2600 games?
  13. What keeps me going is: 1) My baby boy 2) My wife who let's me live out my fantisy about having all the Atari 2600 games and items for my collection. 3) My weight lifting and My purple belt in brazilian Jiu jitsu that gives me the power to fight you people for the ultra rare Atari stuff. 4) And last but not least, huge amounts of Coke Cola to keep me up at night on the web looking for more Atari items. Peace to all you Atari nuts!!
  14. I'm sorry, but when i was writting this I did forget to put that I have the Track & field controller, the touch pad controller, The XE light gun and the star raider controller. But does any one know where I might be able to see a picture of this shooting arcade controller?.
  15. I know that there are only so many Atari 2600 controllers out there, but can any one tell me if there are any other controllers out there that I don't have in my collection, that is made by Atari. I have the Space Age joystick, the roller ball controller, the Deluxe controller (It looks like the 5200 controller), the Joypad, the Kids controller, the tennis paddles, the indy 500 paddles and the Remote controller. Any others?.
  16. I would have to say my 2600 system still unused and mint in the box. How do I know this?, because I received two of them for my 11th birthday party and had put this one away to have as a back up if my other one ever failed, but with time I forgot about it until last year when I was moving into my new house and found it down in my basement on a shelf.
  17. Once and a while some one on ebay sells this game, and you can usual get it for about $100 to $150.
  18. I purchased the Jaguars Official Gamer's Guide book by sandwich islands publishing, and it has the write up and solutions for up to 18 Jaguar games. It has a black cover with the jaguar eyes and is pretty thick. I bought this from a seller in California who sells just about every Jaguar related item out there and he goes under the sign in name of Goatari on the jaguar ebay section. I hope this helps any and if you want, I could send over some scans of the book.
  19. I would say that my top five Atari games list for now would be: 1) Adventure. 2) Pitfall. 3) Raiders of the lost Ark. 4) Swordquest All three). 5) Yar's Revenge.
  20. What I need to know is there any other comic books Atari ever maid that I don't have in my collection. Here is a the list of the comics I have. I have all 21 full size Atari force comic books. I have The 5 mini Atari force comics included in games like berzerk and Defender. I have two of the three Swordquest books, and I have the centiped mini comic. Do you know of any others?, please let me know.
  21. I have seen and old Parker bros ad for a game about Mcdonalds that was suposed to be coming out and I was wondering if it ever did, or was it like the Hulk game that was never made.
  22. I enjoyed double dragon and Montezumas revenge as some of the harder to find games that I enjoy playing.
  23. Like most people, when the Atari 2600 system first came out, it was the hottest thing around, and I was the first person in my area to have one, then others followed. When the coleco system came out with its better graphics and more power, everyone rushed to the stores to buy them, but I didn't. I had my system until Atari crashed and from there I lost my system through time, but I never forgot how much fun I had playing those games as a kid and now I have four different systems with all the extras, and over a two hundred games with boxes.
  24. Thanks very much, but I'm looking for the real thing. I also maid a copy from the internet.
  25. Look here, there's no such a thing as a dumb question about how to take care of your Atari items, or how to find out a ball park figure for a price on a game. We all need help from time to time with questions and ideas for our collections. So please keep asking.
