  1. No that is it, just the early Epyx games. Rampage was next on the list and was also shown on the Lynx 1 box in its original form before it was altered to match the arcade more, it was originally to be called Monster Demolition by Epyx and only changed once Atari got the Lynx and the license to Rampage from Bally. Gauntlet 3 was called Tresure Chests too.

They changed the cards because they were hard to get out of the Lynx 1's awkward side slot.

Oh I see....cool. I wasnt aware of any of that. Well I have four of the six, so thats cool. :) Is the Lynx 1 hard to come by? There is a little opening "door" on the end, yes? I like it better judging from pictures I have seen.

    Thanks.

    Regards,

    Neville

  2. It powers up just fine, and the insides glow and all. There is crisp sound, but no visual. It's sort of in half, and the screen is a mess. I'm not an electronics guy myself but I thought someone might want it for parts or what have you.

    :)

    Regards,

    Neville

  3. I'm needing to know if there were any other Lynx games done in the ridged/flat-slyles OTHER than THESE:

    Chip's Challenge

    Blue Lightning

    California Games

    ElectroCop

    Gates of Zendocon

    Gauntlet: Third Encounter

Also, I'm guessing these six were the ORIGINAL six Lynx games? I remember early tv spots that showed two boys in toilet stalls playing via a Lynx cable and some of these games were running on the screens. Also, why DID Atari re-format the cartridge styles like this? And why did they settle on the common "curved lip" style? I much prefer the older styles...even though I have the hands of a sasquatch. :P Also, is there like a 'database' or something somewhere where I might SEE those old Lynx ads? .....both video and from magazines and such?

    Thanks. :)

    Regards

  4. I'd say go for RoadBlasters, but then I'm more of an arcade junky than a flight sim junky.

Looks like Blue Lightning wins the popular vote.....anyone else care to chime in before I seal the deal with this guy?

    Regards,

    Neville

  5. Hey all. :)

First off, I have a shot at either Blue Lightning or RoadBlasters...but I can only choose ONE.....which should I choose? I have heard nothing but great things about Blue Lighting, but the only 'flying' games I have ever been into were the great Konami ones like LifeForce and Salamander or Sega's Afterburner. Is BL similar? It's not like that horrid mess Steel Talons, is it? Whats RoadBlasters anyhow? Have only heard it's a good one.

Also, I'd like to ask all of you 'hardcore Lynx fans' to submit lists to me of YOUR top games...I'll need to know WHAT to buy and all opinions will be heard.

    Thanks. :)

    Regards,

    Neville

  6. Price range you are looking for? Willing to ship?

Well, price range depends man. Certain ones, (no need to delve into 'rarity pricing' here...none of us are dummies ;) :P ) would be a buck or less....certain ones a bit more. Whatcha lookin for in specific man?

Not sure what ya mean by "willing to ship"...? Ummm, if I'm selling/swapping the carts, unless YOU got like one of those Star Trek transporter things, then it's gonna have to be USPS man....

    ;) lol

    Regards,

    Neville

**EDIT** again...... Just found Virtual Boy game Red Alarm SEALED...but the box is tattered and crushing...still shrink-wrapped though. Also, GameGear TV Tuner, Game Genie, more controllers, and an N64 device thats about 3" long, gray, and has two AAA batteries inside it....also "Tiger Web Link" for Game.Com and Fighter's Megamix and FRogger....

**EDIT** As I said everyone, much rather than SELL these carts, I'd ratehr SWAP them for Lynx stuff I need. :) Also, while sweeping the floor in there, way over in the corner I found Gates of Zendocon! ..And its the one with the little dots and ridge...says its RARE! :D

  7. :) I cleaned out my back room earlier today (WHEW) preparing for a move. I figured I'd post HERE to let all you cool folks know of my 'finds'. I aint lookin to get RICH here, lol, I'm looking for a small amount for each.....or better YET, I'd like to swap for Lynx games. Theres nothing too "RARE" here, but there are hordes of "uncommons" such as TAZ, Beefsteak Tomatoes, Robot Tank, Apollo games, etc etc etc. They are ALL loose and very FEW I would consider in great shape. There is label plaquing on many, and nicks and tears here and there....still nice and very viable games though. Like I said, I really dont want to type out well over a HUNDRED carts, (not to mention 50++ 7800 games and another few dozen INTV carts..) so ask away and I'll fill ya in. Also, dunno if anyone around here needs or wants SUPER common carts to use for home made games or whatever, but, I think I counted 18 copies of PacMan....LOL :P I also found a few NES games and some Game.Com and GameGear games as well.....oh...and a TON of controllers ranging from 3DO to NES to Sega.

    :)

    Regards,

    Neville

  8. These don't need to have manuals or boxes or anything. These are titles I heard were good choices:

    Crystal Mines

    Checkered Flag

    Fat Bobby

    Power Factor

    T-Tris

    Battlezone

    Ms. Pac-Man

    Ninja Gaiden (both)

    Hydra

    Blue Lightning

    Gates of Zendocon

    Xybots

    Dracula

Double Dragon (is the Lynx version good?....like the arcade?)

Thats it for now....I'll edit if i see others I think I'll dig. :) **EDIT** wanted to add:

    Robo-Squash

    Xenophobe

    Raiden

    Scrapyard Dog

    Rampage

    Thanks

    Regards,

    Neville

  9. http://www.myatari.com/bclynx.txt

LYN084 Lynx Alien vs Predator demo cart. $39.95

    ;)

    $40, eh? Cool....well hey, a used Nomad in "average" shape goes for $40~$60 on E-Bay....so.... ;) :P

    Regards,

    Neville

Please lock or stop this post.......AVP is no longer available. :)

"good luck getting a Nomad for trade" .....that sounded rather smarmy.... :P .....no no man...dont misunderstand....I'm not expecting to get a Nomad for JUST the AVP prototype....lol....no. I have several offers on the table, I'm going for (obviously) the BEST one. :) I'm also looking for GameGear games, Master System games, and a nice Lynx system. If the protype copy is worth $40.....great!...if its worth $20...great! I'm not a stickler and I never claimed to know "what was what" when it comes to video game values.

    :)

    Regards,

    Neville

  10. Is this a real proto? I for some reason kinda remember someone selling copies on ebay. If this is real I have an extra Nomad I'm looking to trade. LMK thanks

I remember that as well, I think atari sales currently sells copies of this prototype also.

Well, I got it about four years ago and the cart says "Lynx Alien vs Predator protype copy" on a little white sticker, and "B&C" in blue magic marker on the board. (B&C Computer Visions) I'm not really "in the know" about authenticity and what have you, but I know I have been told that its a 'nice' item to have...

    :)

    Regards,

    Neville

  11. Yup. I have Robotron 2084 and ElectroCop "flat style" that I was told were both hard to come by. In fact, here is the FULL list of Lynx games I have to offer:

    Viking Child

    Bill and Teds

    Zarlor Mercenary

    SuperSkweek

    Toki

    Klax

    Slime World

    Pinball Jam

    California Games

    STUN Runner

    Batman Returns

    Qix

    Chip's Challenge (earlier "ridged" version)

I'm in the market for a Nomad handheld.

    :)

    Regards,

    Neville

  12. Time to lock this to !!!!!

More of the same childish BS

Agreed!! :P Not that I have anything to DO with this "situation" at all, but, I DO know that negativity begets negativity. Lets all just breathe deep, take turns at Phoenix and Space Harrier, and have some Guiness and a nice s m o k e.......ok? :)

    ....oh.....and Chinese take-out....forgot that.... :P

    Regards,

    Neville

  13. Hi all. :) I need Genesis games. The cart can be bare, (no book/box/etc..) and the label can even be tattered. I'm into the 'action/adventure' type of games, NO sports games please. Here are some that I either have fond memories of or have heard were real good ones....

    Vectorman

    Streets of Rage 2&3

    X-Men 2

Atomic Runner (think its called that....old Data East game...I loved it)

    Altered Beast

    Rastan Saga 2

    Double Dragon

    AfterBurner

Golden Axe 2 (was there a part 3 made??)

    Castle of Illusion

    Ms. Pac-Man

    OutRun

    Space Harrier

    Ghouls and Ghosts

    Decap Attack

    Alex Kidd

.....I guess you see the types of games I like. :P ;) Also, on a side note, was there ever a magnifier made for the Nomad handheld? ..Would that old funky one that looks like a scuba mask made for the GameGear fit it maybe?....with modifications?

    Thanks. :)

    Regards,

    Neville

  14. I just learned, via E-Bay of all places, that there is a convertor that allows you to play Master System games on a GameGear. Too cool. Anyhow, has anyone got any GameGear games to part with? How about Master System games? I'm gonna order one of those convertors....they are only about ten bucks and that seems very reasonable to me seeing as how it opens up the whole MS library. :) I had a Master System as a teenager, and remember LOVING the games Rastan and Alien Syndrome.

    Thanks in advance. :D

    Regards,

    Neville

I have a few SMS FS, I will post them later. I have about 20 to 30 GG boxed/complete GG games but I put them in storage, so I won't have them for another few months :(

No worries on the GG games man, but I'd love to hear about the MS games. Some of my favorites as a teenager were:

    Govellius

    Zillion

    Zillion 2

    Altered Beast

    RASTAN

    Double Dragon

    Castle of Illusion

...and ANY and ALL Wonderboy and Alex Kidd games. :)

    Regards,

    Neville

  16. Anyone have one in working order for trade/sale? The screen doesnt have to be perfect....so long as it's not too bad. I have tons to swap, plus $$$. :)

    Thanks.

    Regards,

    Neville

  17. I've had 2 Ballblazers where the POKEY chip has ceased to function. Is it more fragile than other chips?

    ....Sorry to chime in here....but....ummm....

    "Beef Drop"

    ?!?!?!

    LOL W H A T..??? :P Is this a GAME? ....Perhaps the anti-vegan Tetris clone?

    Regards,

    Neville

  18. Title pretty much says it all. I have a bunch of GameBoy Advance and Color games for trade, as well as some 7800 games. I'm looking for a good used Lynx system...and perhaps some games along with it. As far as the GBA games are concerned, they are all top-shelf titles....no "filler junk" in other words....games like Kingdom Hearts, Mario titles, Pokemon titles, Metroid, DBZ game, etc etc....

    Regards,

    Neville

What gameboy color games do you have? Also, can you list if they' re loose, complete, or have just box or instrustions? Thanks!
