I remember seeing a site years back with a portable VCS....this guy had MADE one, and was selling it for something like $1000.
Did any of the Asian pirate companies or otherwise ever MAKE one? Like the GameAxe? I'd LOVE a handheld VCS...omg would I ever!
I dont mean those ones that you hook up to a TV, no no no....one with its own SCREEN...like a GameBoy or Lynx. Anyone have ANY info on a possible "handheld 2600" ?? I know that the GG has a TV Tuner...in fact I have two of those myself..and that you can hook up other things via the AV port...but...I'm NOT an "electronics sort"...so...

the system is in fairly good physical condition minor scraches and some where to the paint is all, both screens are in good shape but the lower has one stuck pixelthe L trigger is a inconsistent though the other buttons work fine
includes a new official ac adapter, stylus, thumb strap and metroid prime first hunt demo
75 dollars shipped to the US
I will consider trades
What would you consider in trade?

Title pretty much says it all. I have a bunch of GameBoy Advance and Color games for trade, as well as some 7800 games. I'm looking for a good used Lynx system...and perhaps some games along with it. As far as the GBA games are concerned, they are all top-shelf titles....no "filler junk" in other words....games like Kingdom Hearts, Mario titles, Pokemon titles, Metroid, DBZ game, etc etc....

I forgot there were various forums for the Lynx...thought there was just one MAIN one....

I got my first Lynx from Electronics Boutique for $69.99 and it came packed with an adapter, Checkered Flag, Pinball Jam, Pitfighter 2, and Shadow of the Beast. That was around 1994, and I'm proud to say I still have three of those four games to this day.
As to a pack-in game....hmmmm.....I'd have went with Slime World AND Pinball Jam personally...yup....both are very different yet show off the capabilities and downright FUN of the Lynx.

Sorry bout the long title.
Needless to say, my "$35 dream deal" fell THROUGH...the guy decided he wanted to KEEP his Lynx AND the games...ARGHHHH!! Anyhow, I'm in the market for a Lynx once again. The condition doesnt matter too much to me, so long as it plays WELL and isnt scratched to HELL. I have tons to trade...A Game Gear, a GameBoy Color, a GameBoy advance and an SP, as well as about THIRTY GBA games...most GREAT titles---no JUNK.
Anyhow, if you can HELP, let me know! Thanks guys...

Thanks guys...yeah, the guy wanted $45, but I said "welllll....the Lynx IS a rather old system....not sure I wanna spend t h a t much.......hmmmmmmmm......." He shot back with "How about $35 then for all of it??"
Really Mr. Kizza? So, for Zarlor Mercenary, California games, and Batman Returns I could get $35?! Naaaaaaaaa.....yer kiddin, right? Thing is though, doesnt matter anyhow really....I dont have an E-Bay account.
Like I said though, I'd swap em for ones I DO need, either that or let 'em go WAY cheap....besides, I'd rather see 'em go to fellow Lynx FANS than anyone else....so...

Yup....Got that deal I was wanting very much. Here's what I'm gettin':
Lynx 2 (great nearly unused shape)
Zarlor Mercenary

Gates of Zendocon

......For $35. I got a good deal, yes? This means I will now have TWO copies of Zarlor Mercenary and one copy each of Batman Returns and California Games to swap.
Cant wait to get my Lynx! Its been soooooooooo long....

"Throw money everywhere without any regard for anything" ?? That was rather unmerited and mean spirited, wasnt it? What is it TO you what I do with MY money anyhow sir?? And if by "throwing money everywhere" you mean dropping less than $30 on CLASSIC games, well,..........nahhhh....I wont go to that level...
I guess they are everywhere...Neville

Now I just need a system...LOL.

Hello all.
I recently found this awesome site, and have been inhabiting the Lynx area.
I was just wondering, about the 7800......where can I get one without paying out the arse? There is a second hand store near me with LOADS of the games (caught my eye cause they all appear to be silver, yes?) and they are $1 each. Should I go for them, and if so, which ones? I remember years back before I got my Master System I had a 7800 and played for HOURS on an AWESOME game where you were like a little clown or something and you raced around a Pac-Man like board collecting FOOD! (NOOO,...I'm NOT having an acid flashback either..
LOLAny and all info would be super....Thanks everyone.

Yeah I remember those lots....worked out to be like $3 a game... Thing is, I dont see any of them NOW...
This one particular guy had lots all the TIME...is he maybe sold out? dammit....rrrrr... Any leads on these "lots" anyone?.....anyone?

Hey gang.
If all goes well with this deal I'm currently working on, I'll have 22 games.
I'll also have THESE titles to TRADE:Zarlor Mercenary (X2)
California games
Batman Returns
At this point, I'm just looking to "bulk up". I know a while back there were E-Bay sellers that had these 'lots' of games like Hydra, Chip's Challenge, Kung Food, etc for like FIVE games for $20. I'm basically looking for any game I dont already have.
Thanks!

Well Mr. Kizza, I dont believe he does know the worth actually....this morning I had an e-mail from him saying "well, I was hoping to get maybe $40 for it all...and the Lynx is a model 2 and has only been out of the box a few times...etc.." so....
I was thinkin maybe I'd offer $30...lol...(mr. shrewd businessman LOL)
Thanks for the feedback by the way.

And as to Xenophobe and Dracula being NOT worth that much, thanks for DASHING my hopes there pally!! LOL

Oh....didnt see the Pound symbol....WOW....$170?!?! in that case, I'll sell that game for $160....LOL J/K!
Thanks for the info about AVP...yeah...mine says "B&C" in blue magic marker on the board...so...
I'll look for that thread. Is it REAL 3-D, or like that Duke Nukem game on the Game.Com system or that Lynx one where you fight the robots?....'pseudo-3D' they call it... ? Also, how much am I offering this dude for the lot? Hmmmmmmm? He's waitin for word from me...

$100 for the Xenophobe game?!? WHAT?? Yeah I have been exploring this site (awesome by the way...
) all afternoon and messing with the "rarity guide". I see that the flat-edged and the style games with the little ridges are more sought after....I have several of these already!
I have the game Elecrtocop and it has two little ridges like shelves on the back...says here that that makes it "very rare"
cool! Now if I just had a system to play 'em on...
I was wondering about this Alien Vs. Predator game I have....nobody has answered me...is it playable? Whats the story on it? I remember giving the shop guy about $20 for it years back...did he take me for a RIDE?? So, this guy just e-mailed me again earlier...I asked how much he was asking for the lot, and he said "i dunno man...its all been in a box in my closet since high school....make me an offer" ??? What should I offer? HELP fellow Lynx fans!!
Thanks all!

Regards,
Neville

I just had this offer made to me.....opinions please everyone? How MUCH should I pay??
Lynx in working order
Zarlor Mercenary
Pac-Land
Xenophobe
Dracula the Undead
Turbo Sub
California Games
Blue Lightning
Gates of Zendocon
I havent played any of these games, but have read good things about several of them. Any help would be super.

I went digging through my boxes of games and such, and unearthed THESE games:
Toki
Pinball Jam
Klax
Bill & Ted's
Robotron
California Games
Batman Returns
Chip's Challenge
Zarlor Mercenary
Qix
Super Skweek
Slime World
Rygar
Viking Child
Electrocop
Alien vs Predator prototype
Not a bad 'start' to a collection..or? I have only PLAYED a few of these....opinions?...opinions? What's the AVP prototype all about? Is it playable at all? I have an extra of Batman Returns and Zarlor Mercenary if anyone wants to swap or whatever..... ...I SWEAR I had S.T.U.N. Runner and the other one where you are a guy running down hallways in pseudo-3D shooting robots and stuff.....I need to keep diggin....

Thanks everyone

Hello everyone. My introduction to the awesome Lynx came when I bought a Lynx 2 and four games (Shadow of the Beast, Pinball Jam, Pitfighter, Checkered Flag) at an Eletronics Botique for $59.99. I fell RIGHT in love and used that system and the games to DEATH...lol. I picked up a few games here and there over the years, including ones like Robotron and Warbirds....but never got to p l a y them cause my old friend d i e d sadly several years ago.
Life moved on as it tends to, and until this AFTERNOON I had no IDEA that there even EXISTED a "Lynx Community"....imagine my surprise.
I guess I just wanted to introduce myself and let everyone know my "story". ANY and ALL opinions, game sources, websites, etc.etc.etc. would be GREATLY appreciated, and I'm looking very forward to joining this community.
Oh, I should also mention that I have the Alien versus Predator game...its on a chip with a sticker on it...the shop I bought it from years back said it was an "unfinished game" and was a "sought after collector's item".....i wouldnt know...lol...hell, i havent even PLAYED it. Anyone got a spare system for sale/trade?!?!
Well, Gotta go to the job...take care all and glad to be here
Regards,
Neville
