You can get some info about the Atari Jaguar version here. Cheers

It is my pleasure to announce that jlibc and rmvlib are now hosted on github: https://github.com/sbriais/jlibc https://github.com/sbriais/rmvlib

Yes, the game comes in a box with a manual. Regarding shipping, nothing is yet decided, but at least, the price includes standard shipping.

Hello Gunstar. I understand your frustration. What I meant is that someone at the RGC said me that he sent you a feedback on the 14th of January. Is it possible that the confirmation email has been lost in your junk folder? Anyway, I have asked that they send you again a confirmation email. Cheers Seb
-
Of course, it won't be infinite. But the idea is to make a run sufficiently big so that anybody who is interested can get the chance to buy it from the RGC. Cheers
-
Hi, I have been informed that your order has been confirmed and that you got a feedback. Isn't that true? If not, could you please send me your questions by PM? Cheers Seb
-
Hi Gunstar, I have received your PM and will check your case personally with the RGC. Cheers Seb PS: copies won't be numbered

Good work Tursi! But who needs a debugger

Hi guys, just had some good news today regarding the number of pre-orders. The project will definitely come to life, thanks to all of you! Cheers
-
Hi, if you have any (unanswered) questions regarding how to pre-order the game, please send them also to me (SebRmv at_symbol jagware dot org). I will transmit them and get back the answers. If you have already ordered the game, thank you! Cheers Seb
-
Hi, happy new year to everybody. Here are more details about the game. Cheers Seb
-
Hi, RGC has not given official deadline for the end of pre-orders, so this was my personal feeling. However, I believe that sometimes in next february is a reasonable deadline for us to decide whether or not we shall continue the project, depending on the number of pre-orders. If the project is cancelled, a full refund policy will be applied, as explained on RGC pre-order site. Cheers Seb

Several answers: - the game works on NTSC consoles and PAL consoles. The game has been tested on stock NTSC and Pal Jaguar consoles. The game is not guaranteed to work on modified hardware. - the game comes in two versions: original game (16 colors) and deluxe version (256 colors) - a speed run mode is available for more fun: Eric Chahi loved to play the game this way - the game is translated in 5 languages: english, german, french, spanish, italian but the manual will only be translated in english, german and french - regarding the sound: except the introduction and final sequence, there is no music inside the game but there are sound effects. This is similar to the original version of Another World. - we spent much time to also design the packaging. It was not an obvious decision to go for a full packaged game, as this really increases the cost. - we want to avoid an eBay fiasco "à la" Battlesphere. If sufficiently enough pre-orders are taken, this will allow us to launch production of a first batch of cartridges and packages and we may have some extra games to sell from this one (but remember that RGC is a non-profit organization, so we won't have much stock). If a second run is needed, we will think about it. But please, remember that if there is no first run, there won't be other runs afterwards. So, if you are interested in buying Another World on Jaguar, and you are not broke of money right now, please pre-order it now. One question: - what is Kickstarter?

Hi guys, first of all, I would like to thank the RGC for their support regarding this project. I will give my personal feelings about some of the possible frequently asked questions, but please wait the official answer from RGC before deciding whether or not you are willing to pre-order the game, if you have any doubts. - How to order? From what I have understood, RGC expects people to send them an e-mail before ordering. - Cost of shipping? I don't know if the price includes this. - Expected schedule of release? Spring 2013. My feeling is that it will rather be first semester of 2013, ie before 30th june of 2013 - What if the game is never released? see below - Is the game ONLY available to those who preorder or will you be able to buy it after release? The answer is the following: the success of the pre-order will make the game be released. So if you want to have a chance to get Another World on Atari Jaguar, please pre-order the game as soon as possible. If we realize that not enough pre-orders have been taken at the 15th of february 2013, the project will be cancelled and a full refund policy will be applied.

Hi, about 150 people have answered the survey, so this definitely encourages me to finish the project. I am currently working on the packaging & looking for the best manufacturer possible for the carts & the packaging. I think I am a bit too short to release the game before the end of the year but first quarter of 2013 is (I hope) doable. Cheers Seb
-
Have you retried since this morning? I have fixed several errors in the survey this morning and the code is now W3C compliant. Please PM me if you have any difficulties filling the survey.
-
Congratulations for this release. The packaging looks great!
-
If you had problems filling the first version of the survey and want to change your submission, please send me your email by PM so that I can remove your initial vote.
-
I fixed a bug in the survey (or is it a bug of chrome?). I hope now everything works as expected. Sorry for the inconvenience.
-
Dear all, I have set up a survey in order to evaluate the demand for Another World cartridges. Please fill the form http://removers.free.fr/AnotherWorld/survey.php if you are interested. We hope that the price of the full packaged game, including cartridge, manual and box will be no more than 60€ but as the price depends on the demand, you will be asked to answer several scenarii. Cheers Seb

For those of you who want to try but are afraid to install linux, I have set up a VirtualBox machine with the Removers development kit installed on it. Download link is at http://removers.atari.org/softs/download.php under the name JagStation.

Hi, I just made a bugfix release of jlibc & rmvlib. I also added a new example showing how to communicate with the Skunkboard thanks to rmvjcp.
-
Hi. As I said, I have found the bug. I don't think I will release an update just for that fix, but here is the patch. In vline.s, replace the block (after label .depth_ok) or.l #XADD0,d0 move.l d0,A2_FLAGS moveq #0,d0 ;; remove move.w SCREEN_W(a0),d0 ;; remove move.l d0,A2_STEP move.l d1,B_CMD wait_blitter d0 by or.l #XADD0,d0 move.l d0,A2_FLAGS moveq #1,d0 ;; fix swap d0 ;; fix move.l d0,A2_STEP move.l d1,B_CMD wait_blitter d0 As every bug, this one was really stupid! Instead of doing Y++ between each inner loop, it was doing X+=W. The bug happened when X wrapped around 65536, so in this case at line 204. Because X was initially equal to 240. Indeed 240+204*320 = 65520 but 240 + 205*320 = 65840 >= 65536 And 65840 mod 65536 = 304. So an artefact occured at X = 304!
