Paid for my copy as well and got my confirmation. I'm already #170!
-
Pre-ordered as well. Amazing to see such projects for the Jag succeed!

Don't forget this site: Klapauzius His site is linked from the DBug site as well.

Thanks but not really interested in disk magazines or re-typed stuff but the actual pages of real magazines sold in shops scanned page by page for each. eg like this ST Amiga Format pages I scanned specific parts of Atari (related) magazines and they are in pdf format on my site (www.atarian.nl). Have a look :-) My problem with scanning complete magazines is the size you end up with... several MB's per magazine if you scan it as pdf which to me is the format of preference because the are searchable (opposed to jpg's).

It seems one of the forum members has one: http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=133784 This is the page I got my quote from: technofile

Do you mean "The second was something he calls the SST. It's an ST that runs at 40 megahertz. It's faster in every way than Apple's most expensive Macintosh, and a lot cheaper, too." ?

Empty bank in 520STFM waiting for chips

Here is a valid link to sysinfo: NewTosWorld -
Ppera, Reading your first post in this thread I already saw it coming this way... take a break! I still don't know what your intention for this thread was, but it could have been a nice initiative to combine the efforts of yourself together with DBug and Klapauzius to come up with a priority game fix list and share the knowledge of patching and come to a best working practice that could be shared and improved where more Atarians could join in. But hey, I'm only a dreamer and sure not a patcher! Ppera, please don't go down this path again and do the things you're good at. I mean I love FloImg and I judge software after I tested it myself. After imaging more than 500 disks I think my opinion is valuable. Improve your harddisk driver which is great for 'us SatanDisk users'. Keep patching the games you think are worth patching and be proud! And there is absolute no sarcasm in this post, cause that would lead to misunderstandings between native and non-native speakers.

First of all, I don't understand what you want to accomplish with this thread... but I'll respond to it anyway. If there are Atarians who wish to do this and the result is o.k. why bother and just enjoy it. But seriously, if you have limited space for you Atari setup at home (or where ever) it is nice to have a Falcon setup that can run everything you throw at it being a 1986 game or one of the latest cool demos. I like some of the elder games and try running them on my main setup first (TT). If it doesn't work, I have to setup a Mega STE first... Big thanks to DBug, Klapauzius and ppera for their efforts to patch all those lovely games the way they do it!

There are some interesting developments in this area already and I don't think our small community can handle several projects like this. These developments are mainly based on FPGA solutions.

Stephen, I would like to order 2 or 3 chips but unfortunately the PayPal button on the site doesn't work. Please could you let me know how to order and pay you? -
Wolfenstein 3d. Atari ST. Played on a Falcon
Rianata replied to bdog_147's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
It is real, Wolf 3D is really running on a standard Falcon (no CT6x), I play it myself from time to time. -
Unfortunately for nothing interesting really. It is just a serial port but with a different (Apple like) connector layout. No real specific software support for this port exists.

How to connect a sampler to a Falcon (SCSI)
Rianata replied to Minardi's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
An external SCSI Zip drive works flawlessly on my Falcon. However I don't think you can share it at the same time between Falcon and sampler. -
Where to get Falcon memory upgrade
Rianata replied to Minardi's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
Try Boban first, just send him an email, he's probably the cheapest supplier: http://www.volny.cz/boban07/RAM_kartice/ You can also get a more expensive one from Best Electronics at $99: "The Best" Series Wizztronics 4 / 16 Meg Ram Solderless Plug in Falcon Upgrade Ram Board (scroll down half way the page) -
Here's some info on the EZRAM II board, which will be able to give you 2.5 MB of ram in your 520: http://www.atarimagazines.com/startv2n5/newsnotesquotes.html

Best way to transfer from Atari to PC through MIDI
Rianata replied to petervh's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
I always use PARCP with the "slightly modified printer cable". Much faster than serial linking and no hassle with opening your Mega STE and disassembling and reassembling the harddisk. Only problem might be running PARCP with Windows Vista. Windows XP is fine together with an additional utility (see PARCP site). -
Spitting Image indeed, see http://hol.abime.net/2069. (sorry for linking to an Amiga games database ) The ST version is available on Automation disk 228.

I think this link supplies you with the data you're looking for: http://perso.orange.fr/gtello/superchg.zip For the fellow Atarians who don't know this little DOS emulator, have a look at this: http://perso.wanadoo.fr/gtello/supch_e.htm

Hi paN1k, there are a bunch of nice things to add to this machine: - add more memory up to 4MB for this Mega ST - why upgrade to TOS 1.4 (Rainbow)? Why not go for TOS 2.06? - add harddisk(s), either ACSI type (the original Atari Megafiles for instance) or SCSI harddisks with the help of a ACSI-2-SCSI converter (i.e. ICD the Link) - add removable storage like Iomega zipdrive, but you need the SCSI model and (again) a ACSI-2-SCSI converter (i.e. ICD the Link) - buy a ST-High to VGA converter, so you can use a modern LCD monitor together with your Atari (i.e. bigger screen over SM124) A good place to have a look for a keyboard is eBay, but there are some internet shops carrying Atari stuff: - http://www.1632-sales.zenwebhosting.com/ac...ardware_91.html (ST to VGA converter) - http://www.atari-fachmarkt.de/M%E4use++Tas...ticks_c_33.html (keyboards) - http://www.wbsystemtechnik.de/atari/ (ACSI to SCSI converters) Good luck & enjoy your Atari!
