My oldest daughter trounced Harry Potter 2 on the GBA when she was 4 in a matter of hours. Seriously, she's had once since she was 7 and is still as sociable as possible (with no legs and not many wheelchair friendly surfaces in our local area making things tricky). She loves Animal Crossing, Super Mario 64 DS and the Brain Training games. we're getting her Sight Training for Christmas..

I recommend fdurso224 - he brought Wario Land 3 for my daughter and wouldn't take any money for it and he is helping me with an R1 exclusive DVD in a few months.

After All These Years...My Poor Collection
zeropolis79 replied to Sayton's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I know the feeling all too well my friends. I sold the majority of my collection before our first child was born (9 years ago).. but I've rebuilt part of it. Despite the fact my wife doesn't like computers much, she'll let me collect now we've got the house sorted and financies are stable. But family comes first - our third child was born on Tuesday (another girl). Congragulations in advance to all the expectant fathers - you'll love fatherhood. -
ST games for kids - recommendations ?
zeropolis79 replied to Minardi's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
This Daddy let his daughter play Lemmings and Treasure Island Dizzy on his ST when she was 4 and was astonished when she did a lot better than her Daddy. -
Scored the ultimate motherload today!
zeropolis79 replied to Scream And Fly's topic in Classic Console Discussion
She'd kill you? $130?? For ALL THAT STUFF??? I didnt know the UK pound/U.S. dollar ratio is that bad. You don't know my wife.. SHe's not really into games and consoles - she uses a computer to help with teaching and that's it. I know that lot is worth it - until I saw that picture, I had never even heard of the Genesis 3! -

What does an XBOX go for these days?
zeropolis79 replied to Christophero Sly's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I paid £15 two months ago for a boxed one with four games - pity three of them were crap though. -
A lot of our friends are after Wii's. Half the members on the board of governors at our oldest daughter's school have asked me (being a fellow member) if I know anywhere selling them. I remember placing our order with Play.com on April 1st, when they started taking pre-orders and we recieved it on May 10th. IT cost £180 ($366). The same site are now charging £399 for new machines via a seperate scheme they are doing.

I'm planning on using Microsoft Access to build my database of software. I used it to make a simular database of VHS tapes I had about 10 years ago..

Phantom Hourglass First Impressions
zeropolis79 replied to pmpddytim's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Looks like my eldest daughter and I are going to love this game - we're both Zelda nuts.. -
The only one I have so far is Zelda: Phantom Hourglass on the DS. With Christmas around the corner, I don't normally pre-order for me although I could pre-order Mario Galaxy on the Wii and claim it's one of my eldest daughter's Christmas presents. But this year, we're also preparing for our new baby who is due around Christmas. (approx six weeks to go) At least our broadband provider is fouling up the job with disconnecting us so we've had free broadband since May! That'll help.

Discount priced games during "The Crash"?
zeropolis79 replied to Technosis's topic in Classic Console Discussion
If one of our stores here in the UK sold Jaguar systems for £20, I would have snapped one up for my collection. It was one of the few Atari systems released in the UK I didn't have. -
I only have Crazy Taxi and Sonic Adventurer 1 but I like them..

Were there really Genesis games that were $100?
zeropolis79 replied to nester's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I remember Sonic 3 costing £60 ($122) - £70 ($142) when it first came out here in the UK. I clearly recall a Woolworth's advert advertising it at £59.99. (rip off) Luckly, I knew someone who sold games cheap so got it for aroudn half the price. -

I remember my niece telling me once that in a UK Game store, a young boy who was aroudn my oldest daughter's age wanted to buy Lego Star Wars which has a 3+ rating (suitabile for people age 3 and above) and his mother refused to let him because of that rating and suggested GTA: San Andreas instead. The boy said he didn't want to buy GTA - he had played a mates and thought it was rubbish and the store would never sell it to him. In the end, they walked out without buying anything.

If it is the Heavenly Sword I saw tested and behind the scenes of footage on a UK game show, I'd buy it if I had a PS3.. It looked good..

I agree that children should put homework first. My daughter doesn't get a lot of homework. She does that first, whatever chores she is physically able to do, then she goes out or plays games. We always say the sooner work is done, the sooner pleasure activities can commence. I don't think a manager should refuse to sell because they didn't have a parent to verifiy good grades - it's none of their business but sacking would be taking things too far. Suspension is the key punishment although personally I would also demote the person.
